  1. Absolutely amazing demo.

I have absolutely no doubts about the full game anymore. I didn't enjoy Arma 1 very much but this is awesome.

I can run it on Very High with very playable FPS.

My only complaint is that when I try to chat, my character still does movements corresponding to what keys I'm pressing. For example when I type an E, my character leans even though I'm chatting.

  2. In a word - Awful.

Just THE buggiest thing I have ever dloaded on to my pc. I so wanted to like/play this but couldnt even complete the obstacle course and firing range for bugs - it basically refused to carry on with the exercise, firing range - when it did it didnt register clear hits (target went down but score didnt go up). It worked ok at one pint for about 1 minute then bugged up again and bluescreened.:(

Have been drooling over MP videos on youtube for a few days now, please tell me the demo bears no relation to the main game quality, please....

Your computer, in a word, is awful.

  3. It runs great on my computer

    9800 gtx+

    2.4 ghz quad core processor

    3gb of ram DDR

    Windows Vista 32 bit

I have a question though. In star sabor (or whatever), in the single player mission, I cannot join any of the AI's squads which takes away from the experience considering I'm all alone. How do you join them? Whenever I try it says I cannot leave team empty or whatever.

  4. OMfg. Its cleer that opf2 will be better cos it wont't be stupid like arma2. ofp will have better guns adn sounds and is being made by more people so it will be better. arma will be bugyy and so will not be a good game and opf wil be way cooler anyway. arma2 isnt real cos it hasnt got as many devs and so opf will be more better. also opf will be on the xbox which will mean that it is a better game cos they will then focus ther efforts on making the gameplay good. graphhics are not even that goold they just make my computer lag. the only reeson opf hasnt given out more information is cos they are waiting to beat arma2 and it will be the best game ever. ofp wil be a more hardcore sim becos codemastars are have more expereence with games and have done 400 gygabite of real data and torked to real military people. it wont be limited by multy platform anyway cos the xbox is way better than anything. xbox has morer players too and better graphics. ofp will win:rolleyes:

He's obviously trolling because of some parts including

"also opf will be on the xbox which will mean that it is a better game cos they will then focus ther efforts on making the gameplay good."

    And his spelling/grammar.

  5. It's funny how some people just don't have the brains to go into options/controls to check they keyboard/mouse setup. Or even read the fekkin manual.

My god... And he didn't even know how to use iron sights? Is this his first PC game?

  6. I'd go with boxed. I don't have the game, but I believe someone said the manual is 75 pages.

As for steam - I've purchased 2 games with it, and have had horrible experiance with both of them.

The first one was fallout3 - While it worked without a problem at first, their patches lately have made fallout3 unplayable. Uninstall everything completely related to fallout3 - use steam to download. Steam auto-patches the game. I start game up - crashes instantly.

However, if I use a pirated version of fallout3 (patched to current version) it does not crash. Thanks steam!

The second game was Empire Total War. Downloading it was real fun!

    Average download speed: 20kbs

Yes, a whopping 20kbs was the high I saw on it. And I had to watch it, as every 2-3 hours it would get stuck on "starting download" and I would have to restart steam. I had to babysit a 15gig game downloading at 20kbs.

Like fallout3, I decided I'd be better off pirating it (getting 800kbs doing so) instead of using steam.

Arma2 could cost $1 on steam for all I care. Hell, I've had a better experience using EA's downloader than I have with steam.

Those seem to be your own problems. Empire total war problem is due to your horrible internet.
