What an interesting idea...perhaps an attachto if they can be individually placed.

    Jets - HUD improvements

Sure but that is not as much a HUD function as much as a general game function.

    Jet DLC & Compatible Sticks

Even before the DLC I've known a few people who used a HOTAS and pedal setup and from what I've seen they do very well, don't even get me started on the stuff they can do in helicopters, I am so envious. From personal experience I have a X-55 which is essentially the poor mans thrustmaster and the only 'problem' I've encountered is that the knobs aren't good for anything...otherwise its all great! You can customize your own curves ingame if you don't want to do it by software, the various switches can be bound as buttons for each direction, the rocker switches the same. As for MFD...I'm not familiar with those and I don't think you would get the same use out of Arma as you would DCS, as far as I'm aware the displays won't project to another source like they would here

    Jet DLC?

Many of us are easily exciteable for something we've hoped to see ingame for a long while is all, plus you have to admit there seem to be a lot of breadcrumbs...we'll just have to wait and see I guess.

    Farewell guys

Godspeed brother, and I hope your personal life problems can be resolved without blowing up into something...awful. Just don't turn to booze as a solution cause it never helps.
  7. Ah okay by faux I was thinking of something that is there but not visible, derp.

    JETS DLC Wishlist

Sure another company has the library and ability to make the jets have a more complex flight model but its not quite really that simple, a fair bit of tech arma 3 started off with came from take on helicopters such as the clouds and helicopter flight model, and you see how long it took to bring the helicopter flight model from one game to the next. I'd have to disagree, if anything they are trying to push towards more simulation but not frustratingly complex simulation. For example, the 360 degree radar that once existed is being phased out for more limited radars and with variations between the vehicles, weaponry is no longer simply a case of 'lock and fire', you have to turn the radar on and by doing so are much easier to detect, not only that but with the radar off you can run the risk of firing a missile at an unidentified friendly unit, and if you thought AA was dangerous before wait until you see how dangerous they can be when the radar is turned off. Add in new damage points More HUD information Furthermore the throttle is now a % like the heli AFM so it feels as though there is a gradient slide instead of being pure 0-1 unless you have a stick/throttle setup.

Did you include a texture of some sort in the red channel? That's more or less the big plus of dtsmdi vs smdi. Of course it depends on the strength of the normal map and how much of a difference there would be, you might not see it but should you run into a case where you're smashing your head into the desk because something you have, the normal maps vanish in shadow, thats the solution. Also how far is the camera there? Did you set your shadow distance to the peak?
  10. I doubt there will be a two seater if we haven't seen it yet, that kind of thing requires the ground work to be set in from the start of modelling phase.
  11. Guess its time to make a Razgriz scheme.
  12. Hey sorry about that, I'll have to get back to you on the keypad, been very busy.
  13. Thats....really impressive!

dtsmdi are multi material exclusive in which you can add a greyscale image to the red channel and it will be used as a detail map, always visible. At the moment its a nice workaround if you are reliant on normal maps which tend to go poof in the shadows when it comes to multi material.

Impressive indeed! I've always had a soft spot for tall ships and yours is quite a beaut. The rigging detail really makes things stand out. For curiosity sake are you using smdi or dtsmdi's?
  16. Yup, in fact it has been uploaded by several people in the past many of whom I directly spoke with. We took a 'live and let live' approach to it, as long as credit was given then we didn't see any reason to start a fuss and as a result we got credit quite often. The way I see it, its about localization, not everyone knows about the BI forums, not everyone knows about armaholic or some of the smaller content websites out there, and even then we have language barriers to deal with. As long as credit was given properly then we were happy to let them host the content, if not then we simply asked that they do add to the credits (I even asked them to include additional credits to individuals to helped our addon reach its potential) and when done in a civil manner they more than often did add the credit.
  17. Typically speaking yes since the pilot guides rockets more than a gunner does. This feature is availible in all Arma helo's but you can use the pylons to help guide rockets with our apache. You need enable manual fire commonly seen in Arma's action menu to take weapon control from the co pilot, and then to use the pylons aiming enable "head tracking" way down in the action menu.
  18. Not intended for implimentation on the heli. The first image was a quick test run of substance painter. The interior lighting images were rendered in blender as concept images.
  19. It appears the prime rvmat error is due to a no longer existant file being referenced from DPLT in the proxy folder. Also just wanted to say thank you to Jeza for the kind tribute of one of the apache's most historical moments, and to Sacha for carrying on our legacy.
  20. If I may, what you're seeing is a balancing act of the _co and the _as. Picture this http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s29/meshula/AO3.jpg~original but the shadow is your _AS map. What you have is a greyscale tug o war, on the bright side you have the engine pulling your texture into even more brightness and on the shaded side you have the AS perhaps a bit too powerful and making your texture darker. This can be offset by darkening your _co and brighten the green channel of your _AS, (that is making black more grey, not the overall brightness more bright outside of fine tweaks). Alternatively if you are using the AS color map in the rvmat and not a dedicated _AS then simply raise the value, say 0.5 to 1 across the board and you will see the shadows ingame become lighter and display your _co more accurately. Of course it's entirerly up to you, it looks good as is and you can potentially drive yourself mad with figuring out this balancing act.
  21. Liking the changes so far, after the lighting update interiors never quite felt the same, and while I understand there's that whole thing of light bouncing and illuminating its surroundings, it looked washed out in comparison to before. One question, are these changes effecting primarly the ambient occlusion settings or are these various tweaks of the ADS files per structure so that the interior is darker?
  22. Don't forget folks, you can use the psd's to make whatever schemes you want easily, just add color to the bottom most layer...weathering may need to be tuned for some colors such as brighter ones but for the most art it should be a quick paint n go. http://www.mediafire.com/file/kjaiinlkz6kbyax/AH64Base.rar And there were a few faction schemes released some time ago but seeing as everything is going freeware I'm going to bring it back up. http://www.mediafire.com/file/vx3zby9wmnr33pf/schemes.rar Included are schemes for Israel, UK, and the Netherlands. http://www.armaholic.com/datas/users/ah-64d-apache-longbow-paint-schemes-v10-1_4.jpg http://www.armaholic.com/datas/users/ah-64d-apache-longbow-paint-schemes-v10-2_4.jpg http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/22/21672/ArmA2OA_2015-02-17_20-14-40-41.png
  23. I want to state for the record that this is no longer my model but a community model. That means anyone can download it and permission is hereby granted to all that wish to add it their mod or alter it, and if you should so wish you may even port it to other games.
