  1. Well spotted, I will look into this.
  2. I do not anticipate any changes going forward.
  3. I will take a look at the view geo's. I believe so, the one where you mention only the VLS appears to have this issue and not the SAMS or MLRS? If so then yes and thank you for your patience and willingness to help us isolate this, I've taken note of this and will pass it along. There is a proxy fuse but please keep in mind that sensors + weaponry is WIP as Oukej stated. Not likely.
  4. Enjoyed very much, very well made and I appreciate the humor :) After some testing it appears there is something going on, this will be looked into.
  5. If you can yes, we'll need to run a process of elimination to determine what the true cause is, if you're willing of course. I cannot for the life of me recreate this and I need to know if this effects only the VLS.
  6. Fascinating... would you be willing to run a few tests? I would like to confirm as to whether or not it is this asset specifically, and if you would be willing to test this with the SAM's as well as a MLRS just to confirm that the referenced type works or not. Pending all of that would you also be willing to go to one branch only for a temporary test and see if it is perhaps the two conflicting?
  7. It's certainly possible it could lead to a conflict somewhere, especially since thus far you are the only one who has mentioned this sort of behavior.
  8. Any and every step being covered helps narrow out a potential cause so, yes please do.
  9. Are you by chance running any mods whatsoever? I deleted my destroyer files and validated the steam files to reinstall them, just to be absolutely sure everything is vanilla however I am still seeing a smoke trail upon launch and a hint of black plume beyond that.
  10. Thank you very much, I'll check this versus the version I have and then make sure I'm using dev branch. As for the other question I'll get back to you on that, I do not know for sure and do not wish to leave you with a speculative answer. As for the flares, please keep in mind what oukej said.
  11. Strange.... would you please describe the scenario and situation in which this occuring, or better yet if possible create a small video clip to demonstrate? For the screens hanging from the ceiling, that may not be true for the desk and briefing screen however. That would be neat yes. I'll ask but don't expect anything to come of it.
  12. We caught this one late and it should be updated later. Not really, I've not seen this behavior during engagement with either AI set targets or myself as a UAV operator, would it be possible to capture this in a video and what is the rate of reliance that you see this occuring? Likewise this if possible, also what video settings are you using? Even with particles set to "Low" I'm still seeing a trail from and to its target.
  13. At the time it was decided to not include these so that each aircraft type still retained some unique function. I do not think this will change. I cannot say for certain but I will relay your request. I'm honestly not sure in this case what behaviors will occur if this is done or not, I will ask but do not expect any changes. Also someone earlier asked if it would be possible to make the anti radiation missiles home in on the destroyer, placing a MK49 Spartan upon it will as a defense will cause it to be targeted by the KH58 ARM.
  14. Add it for appearance or function? The anti-air is designed as a static weapon
  15. Please check your images, they do not appear to be showing.
  16. The launching/recovery mechanism itself is the boat rack object, it was decided to split all functional components into their own subcategory for ease and utility, rather than using it on only the ship you can use it anywhere.
  17. Ah this beauty, sometimes parts of the ship will spawn x2, this is being looked into however in most cases the spawned duplicate contains no geometry, so you should be able to walk through the door at least.
  18. Woops, thank you, it will be changed later on. Having some trouble with the quoting (haven't used this since an update somewhere...) but you should be able to fit a ghosthawk down the center, the hangar was designed to accomodate its rotors span.
  19. Goodness that is quite an improvement! It looks great to me, the larger more loose weighted creases at the top with drooping foldovers and you have the thinner more visible tension creases in a V pattern moving down to their tie point. Anything further is simply down to perfectionist tweaks and you gotta be cautious about that so that you don't end up in a cycle where it never feels quite right.
  20. If it becomes a nuisance then in 3ds max you could also use the "Cloth" modifier to simulate a tarp falling over the bar structure for prototype or to bake if it works well enough for you. I'm not terribly fluent in how 3ds max does it but it appears you can also create at least "a" tension point that pinches the fabric towards it.
  21. First off, very nice sculpt! In regards to constructive critique, the "Aliens"bit that may be throwing you off could be the amount of "tension" creases and their direction. For example The cover starts tight and then droops in between to form the large creases while the thinner "tension" creases tend to flow downward in a V shape. We can see this cover has a REALLY tight fit by the tension creases on the last and third from last droops, and while there is a sag between the bars up top, there are very few large "Weighted" creases due to the tension. The strongest points of tension tend to be the front and back, where the cover will be tied, looped, and secured the most, but in this case we can see how there are a few tension creases that taper to the cover window, that is the only time they have a more curved 'horizontal' angle however. Here is another example albeit more relaxed. The "weighted" folds are far more subtle and more visible with the drop between the frames bars, however you can see the "tension" creases much more clearly, where the fabric is pinned most tightly at the front and the back, again following a V shape with a few "loose" creases pushing opposite from the lack of tension. If you're going for wrinkles from the cover being folded up then the smaller creases shouldn't be following with the bigger ones, fold creases tend to be chaotic and more independant, smaller dimples or lines that follow a folding pattern. And again at the front we can see the mix of tension and loose creases. I hope this helped :)

    35 years of NATO

That's a crazy list, I've never seen so much equipment in one event, also those are some great photo's! You have an eye for the details, good images of refueling probes are difficult to come by, and the multiple angles are always nice, hope you had fun at the event!

    Bug Report USS Freedom

Can you confirm that this is still occuring with the black wasp on the latest dev patch? I'm tesing it right now and while it is exhibiting a hydraulic bounce upon getting in, I'm not seeing the landing gear fall through the surface after the most recent.

Help for someone new to Arma games

Hi and welcome to your latest addiction! (It is, you just don't know it yet). To give a few of the basics, equipment is changed by pressing the I key (Inventory), when near a weapons crate or dead body, you can take their weapons and kit, or drop some of your own to decrease your loadout weight. Different weapons can be equipped by using the 1-3 keys with 1 being the rifle, 2 the handgun, and 3 whatever launcher you are carrying. Press G to throw grenades, and use the F key to change firing modes, and use the / key on your numpad to switch between optics should you have a rifle with two sets (one scope and one redpoint for example.) Weaponry is based on class or pre-assigned loadout unless you find another weapon through your mission, if you would like to check out the various weapons then you can do so via the tutorial tab and clicking "Virtual Arsenal", which will also give you the weapons stats and when "tried" will produce trails from the bullets to show you their trajectory and so on. To help break you in to understanding mechanics I highly recommend checking out these videos alongside playing the tutorials, start from the bottom up as Jets are at the top and the basics of infantry are at the start (bottom) Whatever you do, don't try and rush into understanding all of these at once, there is a LOT to learn, from stances, fatigue, weapon handling, penetration values, bullet drop, weapon resting, and so on. Ultimately the best way to learn is to just play around, don't take it too seriously, it's a learning experience and what better way to do so then to get hands on.

    Is bigger better?

It sounds indeed as though the problem may be your mouse. Mouse movement is proportional to screen yes however the more pixels the screen the more accuracy the mouse needs, what may have appeared pixel perfect before would now require more DPI (Dots Per Inch). No doubt you could adjust, but if you really want to see an improvement, get a mouse with high DPI. Be warned though, that too will take time to adjust to, perhaps moreso. To give an example, it took me a few days to get used to my mouse because I was so used to the amount of force needed to move the cursor around, having to slide the hand to move the cursor vs barely using my fingers to nudge.
