    Very very impressive, thanks for making this I've been looking for this aeroplane for ever, I love the big amount of detail especially on the landing gear and also its size, a trade mark of Soviet aeroplanes! Kind of makes you think how this beast can fly :biggrin: By the way, that bomb tray looks scarier then the Tsar bomb inside :crazy: We are patiently waiting for more screen shots

  5. The ruins of a church on Žuta Gora and the famous cow! A look at South Taviana from the sea Yet another scene in Žuta Gora, this time a leafy forest. The South of the island only contains leafy trees Finally, a map of a very small piece of the Southern part of the Taviana, this is the part that I need BETA testers for, I'm also planning to make an island the 2x the size of Utes on the West side of this piece. EDIT: Don't mind the green, it wont be there when its done. Please leave your comments/suggestions and feedback, the more the better!

Time for some new screen shots because I've been quietly working for some time now Also some news that some of you might like: I need BETA testers to test performance of a small Southern part of the island! This basically involves me sending you a part of the island that I really need to test for performance because it has some large forests to see how it runs on other systems. You just download it, play around with it as much as you like, tell me your system specs, how it runs and help me in a very big way before I release the public BETA of the whole Southern part. If you are interested please PM me, your help will be valued very much by me and the community!     Excellent work Oleg! Will it be able to turn the second row of propellers in the opposite direction? I guess by the progress your making we are gonna see some textures on that bear next week :smile: EDIT: Since it wouldn't take so much work now that the Tuplojev has propellers, are you planing to make a version with jet engines?

    Hey Oleg it would be cool it you added the ability for the Tuplojev to drop an atomic bomb, so maybe have a "Tu-95MS" and "Tu-95MS (with atom bomb)" ready to be placed in the editor. I'm sure one has been made for ArmA2 already so you could use that. I know there was an atom bomb for OFP.
  13. Thanks Bushlurker, I'll try it out, it does sound complicated but hopefully it will work, its disappointing that BIS didn't include this function in Visitor 3. I'll post my progress later.

    Ah good old OFP, this error is a graphics card driver bug I remember this, I also had it in OFP on my new system. I doubt that your computer can't handle OFP because I see your ruining Windows Vista/7 but I assume that you're using a newer nVidia card. Post your system specks here first and then install the driver that originally came on the CD with your graphics card if you have one, it should solve it :smile: EDIT: This worked for me, but every time I installed a newer driver from the nVidia site I got bad Lods in OFP then it would just disappear after a few minutes and appear again later :biggrin:
  17. Is this for real or is April fools day early this year? :biggrin: But I have to say, the Dragon Rising DVD would have made a good place to put my cup of coffee on while I play ArmA 2 if I was stupid enough to buy it :coop: :681::638: DIE FAKE FLASHPOINT !!! MUAHAHAHA!

An areal picture of the village "Postojna", as you can see where I've circled red, that's where the south side of the capital city is, I didn't import that part from OFP yet but I'm working on it, its pretty big so it takes some time. And finally some wheat that has been cut, as you can see there are hay stacks on the field and small clutter, I think it looks pretty cool How about you? So that's it for today, I hope you liked them, I'll post some more on Friday. Good eye Well its kind of 50/50 based on the Prague and Moscow metro, Moscow design and decoration, Prague architecture and material. But I think it looks good. EDIT: See page 4 for more screen shots!

Hey everyone, Thanks for your comments again, its very appreciated :smile: Here are a few new screen-shots, I realised that I've been posting lots of urban pictures so here are some pictures of the country side on the south of the island. The south is leafy where as the north will only have pine trees. Enjoy and leave your comments and suggestions! Here is a small village by the road, people who take care of the fields live there etc... There is some clutter on the roads, I'll fix that once I get to the layer mask again. Some wheat fields, I think I made the wheat a bit too tall, I'll make it to knee height, what do you think? A picture of some more fields, as you can see there is a village with a factory on the hill and a few potato plants that I'm testing, they are from the OFP Farmlands mod, if I do decide to keep them I'll ask for their permission and helpfully all will go well. Again, what do you think? Some pumpkin fields with scare crows, that reminds me, its Halloween soon!

Well I don't think this would be suitable for the island at all, because the elevation of the island is fairly the same in the urban areas, there are hills of course but no towns are located so high up in the mountains that they could be covered by snow, and it would be quite strange to drive a few towns down from an autumn environment in to a winter environment because if there was snow it would have to affect the whole island if you know what I mean. Sorry mate But I think you will like it even without the snow :smile:
  21. Do you mean, like the whole northern part of the island covered in snow, together with houses, trees etc...? Or just mountain tops? :smile:

Thanks for the comments guys, its really appreciated, you might not realise it but it is a big motivation :smile: Mmmm I thought about trains too, well actually there are two types of trains that can be used on the island, normal passenger/cargo trains and trams (street-cars, for the American guys). In the OFP version of the island I had a working tram (streetcar) in the capital city, I achieved this using AEF Train. I'm not sure if AEF Train would be compatible with ArmA 2, maybe it will, so I have to test it, or if any of you guys got some information about it, let me know please. If it works I will definitely at least make a working tram system because its quite simple. Anyway, here are some new screen shots (probably the last for this week) This is the most luxury hotel on the island, located in the capital of course called "Hotel Marcomio" after my friend who really helped me a lot on the OFP version of Taviana by making excellent ground textures, thanks again for that pal!     No sh!t? :butbut: But how exactly will former marines help with the voice acting, they are people like all of us so everyone has a different voice, deep, high, accent? The only thing that is messed up in ArmA 2 is that every word sounds different (like windows narrator) not like in OFP where it was perfect.
