    I was looking into this...the only related thing he has in the addon is the cpp file where he refers to sounds in ca\sounds.... This should work with your script as well.

    M8 you're absolutely right it doesn't work and I've just discovered the reason why. You don't have the GPL2+ sound addon on in your addon directory (have a check ricki I think you'll find you have it in there as well same as me).  So more time wasted and another aborted attempt to improve this script.  I'm going to have a smoke and think about what to do next other than scream.  @ Lester, http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/random I dont think the probl is GPL2+. Sounds are there but you simply are not referring to the right sound file. I'm trying a solution like; commentsDan  =   ["sounds\missions\dan\Univ_v31.ogg","sounds\missions\dan\Univ_v32.ogg","sounds\missions\dan\Univ_v33.ogg","sounds\missions\dan\Univ_v34.ogg"]; I'm a bit slow with scripting..maybe you can try it faster.

    ricki, where do you match the comments with sounds in the sounds.pbo. "Ryan_Fuck_it" with Missions\Ryan\Univ_v25.ogg

    Ricki, Ryan_bastards and Dusan_Oh_no and Rusell_bastards. I guess its for all of them. I get teh sound not found error the first time i die and do not get it in the following deaths but i dont hear the shouts/comments as well.

    HWM - HAC Huey UH-1H

    GJ..very nice huey indeed..i noticed the nose issue as well..looks like a bit pushed inwards. It may be due to steeper angle of the front windows. Giving a bit more angle should ease that feeling. But really great work..all the interior and the rest. Will be a great addition after the final tweaks.

    Lowplants v1.1

    Not really since the new plants.pbo is generated by the installer so the exact contents propably vary a bit depending on which order the files end up in the PBO etc. We signed and allowed on our server and sig works well with all the different files of the squad members. So I assume order of the files do not effect the signature check. As long as plants.pbo is untouched and original that is.

    You can release the one with some glitches for SP/MP only to be used by humans...all its functionalities will be tested and you will get bug reports & feedback for improvement.

    Norrin, We've tested the 11e script today with approx 15-20 players. The only problem we had was the one already identified, ones you fixed in 11f. Swimming at base. Rest seemed to be working fine. Many people died while reviving and script worked fine and dead revived successfully eventho the reviver got killed during the process. I'm getting many errors like below in rpt but not sure if related to your script. Maybe you can interprete them better. *** Remote: Identity John Clark transferred from 30:70 to 30:86 Client: Object 30:20 (type UpdateDamageObject) not found. Client: Object 30:62 (type UpdateDamageVehicleAI) not found. Client: Object 30:33 (type UpdateDamageVehicleAI) not found. Client: Object 30:38 (type UpdateDamageObject) not found. Client: Object 30:41 (type UpdateDamageObject) not found. Client: Object 30:52 (type UpdateDamageObject) not found. Client: Object 30:59 (type UpdateDamageObject) not found. Good job and I'll change to 11f next week and upload to server (maybe convert couple of missions to revive as well) if it is close to the final version.

    How about adding a sound file? Something like; "shit...jammed again..." and you know its jammed and you can go to action menu to unjam..

    ArmA sold well on the strength of OFP. ArmA 2 wont sell well on the "strength" of ArmA. Rest assured! ------------ Seconded... Well..they had thousands of beta testers for Arma2 . So they are now aware of all the engine and network probs. And if they dont have them resolved in Arma2 and have some improvements on AI and gameplay than BI will be in a really tough situation in 2008/2009. I also wonder how they will succeed by focusing on console, and selling mil-sim to 10 yr old console players. It is known that FPSs and RPG (unlike fighting and sports games) are not console type of games. So...they used their credit on Arma, and I don't think community will give them another chance as you just said if they fail with Arma2. They will probly go benkrupt.

    @Second & Q.. Yes the http://www.ic-arma.com is not a league or clan at all. I'm a member of kellys heroes but I play ic-arma guys each Saturday. If your time is limited you may want to give it a try. We will start the new campaign#2 this Saturday. Generally there are around 75-80 ppl palying it. max is 105 last campaign. Doesn't matter if you are a meber of a clan/squad or not, you go to the site, select one side, register, post in new recruits. They put you in to a squad depending on what you want to do (armor-infantry-pilot etc..). Two sides clash over 3 objectives determined by the last winner. We have some discussion in the side forums anout the strategy to be applied for each objective and each one has different terrain and needs specific methods. We talk about how, when, if to attack, from which direction, how to defend etc... Each army has a general and couple of HCOs and each squad has a leader. And for each battle each squad has specific orders and tasks to accomplish. They may change during the battle if thins are going different than expected. Battles are held each Saturday at 1800GMT for 3hrs. You may join in the middle and leave whenever you need to etc... ---------- Apart from that yes it is really hard to find good missions with a scanario. The are either "clear this town..OK clear...now clear this one..oh you did it..lets see if you can clear the next one" type or the new Sahrani-Life RPG like (instead of fighting you do delivery jobs ) In general, in Kellys-Heroes we avoid running Evolution or kill'em all missions as there are many copies of it around already. We have missions mostly done by our mapping members and they have some scanario in most of them. hope this helps...

    To use Matt's signatures... 1) Place the "MatH_ArmAEffects.pbo.Maddmatt.bisign" next to the addon. 2) Ask the server admin to place "Maddmatt.bikey" to server's "keys" folder to allow Matt's addons with this signature.

    sry..I must have missed it..its also written in the read me file I just came back and was going to say i figured out what was going on but you've already mentioned lol. I figured it out as I've opened your sample missions and saw the "respawn_west" close to "boot_hill". I assume we need to create "Respawn_East" if we play the OPFOR side.

    I think the rain drops obscure the screen too much...drops seem to be too big. Thinning them out a bit should do the trick GJ overall..especially the explosion effect is really good.
