    Remove any filechecks if you have any in your server config. and insert  RegularCheck="{}"; to your config. Also if you are running ACE, make sure both servers & clients are using it or vice versa. Make sure you are using the correct version of domination maps there are "regular" & "ACE" versions

  5. I have ARMA installed on a seperate HDD (a game one) to the Windows HDD. Would that cause a problem? Should I be changing the page file of one of them or both? Also, unlike older games again, Armed assault doesn't recognise its in a x64 bit environment. Usually games that are meant for 32bit install to program files (x86) - Armed assault doesn't. And at the end of each install I get an error that there isn't enough space to install the game (apparently 960GB isn't enough) but it installs anyway. try disabling one of your GFX cards...maybe due to SLI/Crossfire issue.

DaSquade your CARs are really really nice as I said yesterday...especially the EOTech on the CQB looks really good..Not too bulky not too small. ***BUG REPORT*** I had one issue tho...dunno if it is due to your model or ACE....The "CAR L Aimpoint" does not shoot at where the red dot aims. It shoots much higher than the reddot. PS..Dunno whose they are but I love the animated HK417 class magazines where you can actually see how many bullets you got left.
  7. not a necessity...you can add dbe1 to the mod parameter if you want to run the QG on the server.
  8. They remain where they are as the "start-in" part of the 115 shortcut still refers to regular arma directory. It is nothing more than running exe from the beta folder and than adding beta folder as a mod just like all the other stuff. so just adding to the -mod paratemer should work.

    IC ArmA

    The Campaign 6 is starting this weekend with the last scrimmage on Saturday 27th at 1800hrs GMT....1800 @UK and 1900 @Central Europe. The upcoming campaign looks to be one of, if not THE, most exiting so far, with a new mod containing a lot of new goodies and a new campaign concept. Thanks to our in-house dev-team and quite a few modders from the community we have added a bunch of new toys for the armies to blow each other to pieces with. Jones' artillery and Ike's T-90 are two of the new heavy hitters, and we also have the Be-32 from GranQ to help out with those express deliveries, along with some other stuff to help the armies fight the good fight. Scrim 1 was the premiere for the new mod and the new territory capping concept, both very well received. It was fought in what will be the Northern chain in the campaign, the one we call the 'Airborne chain'. The second chain will be armor-based and together they're putting a whole new spin to the teamwork this tournament fosters. It will also be quite the test to the players' skill as they might pilot a UH-60 one battle and be the gunner of an MBT the next. All-in-all, we think campaign 6 will be really awesome, so don't hesitate -join the fun today!   10. Nice job and well done on the mod. Maybe you knew or it was just overlooked but the chinook seems to be over-sensitive to mouse movements. I know it is hard to simulate two rotors but it kinda flies like a MH-6. I was able to do 360 roll so easily with it. Need to add a bit more bulky, heavy feeling to its handling. Congrats again for the release cheers
  11. Nice feature. I agree with that it is a bit too sensitive. Even when I brought down the mouse sensitivity to almost 0 there was an considerable amount of steering. I know it is hard to find the right balance when you have 900 degrees of steering wheel and when people have all sorts of mouse sensitivities. You should have a bit higer sensitivity to be able to make a full left/full right with your mouse on a reasonable distance on your desktop. So I think a "Vehicle steering sensitivity" slider in controls may be handy. People ask for realism and sim and dont like it when they get it and when they try to drive a car with 900 degree wheel with a mouse. Get a Logitech G25 900 degree steerig wheel and you'll love this feature . As for the controls mapping...yea..it doesn't show up in the ingame controls for me too. Even tho when I create a new profile. The option is only in the profile file. Thanks for the 1.15 patch. Many important fixes and hope you get the feedback you need. Can't wait wait to try out the MP fixes in the IC-Arma Armored Battle this weekend with 70+ people. Cheers,

    Patch 1.14 Troubleshooting

    First it is the 1.12 betapatch, 1.14 patch, 1.15 beta patch. Before installing any beta patch, make sure you rename any existing "beta" folder in your Arma folder to something else. Install the beta patch. If you want to run the game in betamod make sure the shortcut you are using is referring to the arma.exe in the beta folder...."C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA\beta\arma.exe" But the "Start In" part should refer to regular arma folder..... "C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA" If you want to run Arma in non-beta mode (currently 1.14), change the link by deleting the "\beta" in your shortcut and run the Arma.exe in the Arma folder.

  16. Hey guys. I live in Turkey and I love the Dardanelles and historical peninsula, Gallipoli. It has witnessed one of the biggest battles in history between Ottoman Empire and joint forces of British-French-ANZACs in 1915 during WWI . Battle has one of the top death toll in history. Around 550.000 soldiers died there (approx250k each side). Casualty rate was around 60% Â The 3/4 of the peninsula is now National Park as soldiers were burried right then and there and it's packed with ammunition and bombs. In my first attempt to lay my hands on Visitor3, I decided to make a map of the area. I think it has a nice features & mountains as well as flat areas to build cities on. There are some valleys and rivers too. The map will be 20kmx20km. At the moment, its blank ie...textured and cluttered. I'm planning to release and empty version first for those who collectively work on it using 3DE by Mapfact. It is big enough for couple of people work on different parts at the same time. I'll probably release another, much flatter version. Later I'll do my filled in version with 3DE.     I took a look at earth sculptor but i haven't figured out how to sculpt terrain, only how to change textures and change what heightmap file it will use as ground  Or is it a feature only in the 59 $ version? Also you got any new pics of the new mountains? lol click on button with "up and down arrows" in the toolbar. Then left click on the map and drag...

    I found a great tool for terrain editing... earthsculptor. So easy to use, packed with lots of features. BIS should buy and incorporate it to V3. Just got rid of the major cliffs.. Still left some on purpose but looks much much more realistic now and has an island feeling. Also smoothed the coasts. And I can't think od a map without titty hills I'll fine tune it, set the right water level and play a bit more with rivers, texture it and post an update. thanks for the suggestion. I would have never searched for this tool otherwise. cheers
  19. GUys I just found this 3d terrain editor with great features and incredibly easy to use.. You can smooth out the terrain, create mountains, valleys, rivers, adjust the water level. You can also texturize the map with texture pngs you show. You can import your existing .png height maps. It exports height maps as .png afterwards. If you are not using it...you are downloading right now. http://www.earthsculptor.com/download.htm This is limited to 256x256 but if you buy the product you cna work on maps up to 4096x4096. Of course you can always have a look around before buying.. I'm workin on my 2048x2048 map and its really great. cheers

    SAROS Map

    Ty for the suggestion Icebreaker but I'd like to make the map of this area..and when I make it smaller it is so hilly that there are hardly any flat surfaces. I'm happy about the map generally but need some tweaking here and there and especially at the borders. I'm trying to find an easier method than editing in Visitor. I'll test how it looks 10kmx10km. I'd like to hear your specific comments about the map tho.. cheers, cross

    Thanks for your comments Old Bear. I'm open to all sort of ciritism as this is my first work with V3 and maps. And I find V3 quite unfriendly and hard to work with . It needs some GIMP-like abilities like blurring for smoothing the angles & edges etc.. 1-I agree..unfortunately this is due to the height map I cropped from a bigger one. It was terrain going to infinity but I preferred to cut it and make the sea go infinity. I'll try to create a smoother finish of the land. V3 is not friendly in working with the terrain but I'll try to fix it. This is something I wasn't happy about either. 2- This is the original height map, smoothed for rounder hills. It was horrible if I didn't do it. I can create more/deeper valleys using V3 but then I lose some of the roundness and flat terrain. But I'll play with it a bit more to see what I can do. 3- You must be talking about the south end of the peninsula. Again I didn't play with the original height map as V3 creates cornered zones and it is too bumpy when driving on it. I'll try to change the sea level a bit to see if I can get rid of some of it without losing too much flat terrain on the other coasts. Thanks for your suggestions.     Hey all, A small update on the map.. I've made new sat map using arma textures and it looks much better now although it is still empty. You can find it in its new home at our site Kelly's Heroes; http://www.kellys-heroes.eu/files/public/cross/Saros_Beta_v1.7z I'm did some work on some towns and road network too but they are not in their final status to be exported to visitor yet. Yet I'm planning to post them as "missions" which you can have a look, provided that you have Mapfact's 3DE, Mapfact_EU, Mapfact_Services and Queens Gambit. I need to work on how to eliminate dependency to these addons in the future, but not priority at the moment. Cheers, Cross

    I thought you knew how to get DEMs, height maps. Maybe the easiest way is to get the below overlay to GE. http://www.ambiotek.com/topoview Check here... http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?t=27052 This will download an overlay for GE and will show the available DEM files for your region. You click on the one you need in GE and download. Once you download and open in MicroDem, select the exact region you are focused on by right click-> modify map area->subset&zoom You can also save the file as grayscale png and use it as heightmap for V3. rightclick map-> display parameters-> elevation-> grayscale Play with MicroDem. It's a bit complicated but once you get the hang of it, things are much easier. Later follow the procedure above. Hope this helps..
