    Vehicle's exploding damage

    Absolutely right you are. If a car is hit from say, a missile, the car would not add any splash radius other than shrapnel which should only hurt soldiers, and the damage radius in which armoured vehicles can be damaged should be the same as the rocket's damage radius. But if a car has explosives inside it, it should be extremely powerful and blow outwards with deadly huge pieces of debris. As with choppers, if they crash they shouldnt have any explosion except for very high speed crashes, but if the chopper his in flames because of a missile hit then there should be some splash damage around it, but not to the extent as shown in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vhn1qfg-SZ8

    The reason why you have to aim down to hit a target is because in RL rifles are zeroed at a certain range and the sniper rifles are zeroed to hit a target when they are in the center of your crosshair at 500m, if the target is closer than 500m you have to aim below the target, estimating how close they are. <span style='font-size:14pt;line-height:100%'>BIS should really have an adjustable dial on sniper rifles so you can zero the range on them, maybe this would be pretty cool for all rifles</span> I believe that tracers should not be available at all for assault rifles and only on AA and MG's and also automatic GL's

    Thats a good idea, maybe also if bullets strike the ground very close to you your vision blurs aswell There is also the problem that say when you fire an RPG at a tank, you automatically reload your gun and can't move so you are unfairly vulnerable to gunfire by it keeping you on the spot, as with AI you cannot finish reloading an AT weapon before getting shot in most cases, It should be one shot disposable not reloadable which isn't real at all. Same applies for other weapons in that you should be able to move whilst reloading / you have no ammo in clip.

    Veterans with superiority complexes.

    To be frank, this game has attracted a new breed of stupidity, with people thinking that just because it is a 'simulator' and as the l337 people would say, 'not a game, n00b.' they actually amazingly believe that the game is real life. I was once on a server and killed an AI NPC member on my team and this guy started screaming down the mic at me about how he'd kick my ass if I were there at his house, and how its n00bs like me that ruin ArmA, and TK'ed me until I left. This just shows not to feed people shit about the simulator being close to real life e.t.c because it has already caused a new breed of retarded, fricking mentally disabled people to play this game and have a fucked up idea about the right way to play it.

    Music Recommendations

    NINE INCH NAILS ALL THE WAY Each album is a totally different style/concept, however remaining fricking brilliant every time, don't be put off the name, it's not a goth band, infact it isn't even a band it's one man (Trent Reznor) who writes it all, and is a genius. Their reportoire of songs come under nearly all genres of music, but mainly coming under Industrial, Rock, Dance and others. Albums: Pretty Hate Machine: One way to describe the albums sound is 'dark pop' as it is catchy pop music with dark lyrics. Broken: More an EP than an album, It has a distinct raw rock sound. The Downward Spiral: Arguably NIN's best, It is a very experimental record with amazing atmosphere The Fragile: Double disc album, It's basically art for the sake of art, instead of straightforward formulatically written songs. If you enjoy music with very strong atmosphere this album is the way to go With Teeth: A record with a new, significantly more optimistic sound, It has compact yet very powerful songs with amazing atmosphere yet again. Year Zero: Not released yet, but after listening to the leaks of the songs it has shown some very catchy and atmospheric songs, and the theme that the album is about, A movie that doesnt exist, The lyrics are supposed to be from a first person perspective from a soldier from an elite infantry unit. Coincidentally the songs I have heard from the album would suit ArmA vids extremely well, I suggest someone try them out if they are looking for a good soundtrack to their ArmA movie. http://www.myspace.com/nin Muse Absolutely amazing composition, brilliant piano, awesome riffs, their songs are the most epic songs you will ever hear. Showbiz: A record with an indie sound, not as epic as what they later would become, but full of atmospheric songs, and very suprising talent for the band being at such a young age when this was released Origin of Symmetry: This was the milestone at where Muse had found their definitive sound, which was like nothing around at the time, and still any imitation's of their sound will never be matched at the same level that they had accomplished Absolution: The album where they became better known in the states, and significantly better known in the UK than before, Full of Epic smash hits, with blistering piano and guitar riffs.     It's not a legitimacy problem, that wouldn't affect your aim in-game anyway. Rifles are zeroed to a certain distance, the m16 is zeroed to 300m so targets closer to you than 300m you have to aim below the target to hit them, it's not simply point and shoot in arma.

    This is ArmA ... and not Ghost Recon. Don't get me wrong but this game is the most special thing you will find around. BF2 may be fun for some time, but is no solution at all for real oldschool OFP gamers. All of those people were in deep love with OFP, at a stage never reached with women. These men would rather die than having their precious OFP (now ArmA) be like any other (in my opinion) cheap game. I proudly confess that OFP has affected my life more than all the girls I had (not too much anyway lol). NOW I might go a bit too far but I still say proudly that OFP for me was more a philosophy of life but a "game". Welcome to the OFP/ArmA community

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vhDJXnKGrO4 Notice in 'Angle: B' How the car goes burnt to a crisp before the explosion, there is no space in between the damage, I'd like to see an animation of the car exploding, not just a normal car, the car changing to be battered and broken and followed by an explosion an split after. This also happens when you spot say an enemy ural and your team/group open fire on it and it just magically turns rusty and the enemy inside dies because the vehicle is no longer usable. Example: It feels sort of an unrewarding kill if you know what I mean, I would like to see some realistic vehicle explosions, maybe the car burning after being shot up and ghost driving after the player has died, or it buckling and tilting depending on which wheel has been obliterated/burst. Every time I headshot a soldier it is always the area around their right eye that caves in on their face, and its always the same area that is bloody on their torso/legs. Maybe there could be individual bullet wounds/blood stains This not any morbid obsession or anything it's just i'd like to see the exact position I hit to know how effective certain ways of aiming are. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ra1_kbDvWYQ I would have thought this film was genuine footage from the gulf war if it had not actually said it was done with ArmA, apart from the fact that the building falls to the ground without crumbling inwards or outwards or breaking apart even slightly, this is much worse when demonstrated with say, a tent, which doesnt realistically squash at all it just sort of makes a transformation from 3d to 2d. Maybe their could be a lot smoke that shoots into the air around buildings that implode to cover up the explosion looking rather fake, that would be good enough for me I don't mean this as a whine it's just a list of things that could be improved, aswell as some suggestions. Constructive criticism on my ideas is welcome.

    I don't think people should be lectured for pointing out bugs and errors, i've heard stuff such as 'BI have to work so hard you should appreciate e.t.c.' when someone makes a constructive note of a fault in the game they have made as if BI were starving kids in Africa. They aren't going to cry or get upset over complaints that point out problems in ArmA so why kiss a$$ by going on about all the hard work they do, they are making a game, that is their own choice they aren't forced into it. They are doing a good job but no need to suck up, It helps them more to find faults in their game so they can FIX them.

    Tracers....

    In real life aren't tracers only easy to see in low light conditions? And I thought they were only used on LMG's/HMG's/HE cannons to compensate for range by being able to see the bullet drop yourself. I honestly think that the way most guns have tracers is unrealistic, as even sniper rifles fire tracer bullets, and that gives away the shooters position too easily and they should be limited to MG's and HE cannons, as this is supposed to be a REALISTIC simulator isn't it?

    @ simonwa1's suggestion, Thats a very good idea, it would help a LOT with situational awareness of the team, stop battles from commencing straight away and leaving a bit more depth and be rather cool aswell to have a secret command area ^_^ I would Like to see the ability to capture certain building/fortress/bunker e.t.c. (although bunkers don't exist in arma, which they should do) And set up MG positions on ledges and open windowsills. Maybe the use of bipods being deployed on objects could be used in all areas aswell, sort of like in day of defeat: source. Some sort of rangefinding ability with sniper spotters, preferably them being able to use a spotter scope that has the correct sighting indicators to estimate the range of enemy targets so the sniper can zero in where he shooting, And also a dial on the sniper scope to go with this so the player can manually adjust where the sight is zeroed. And how about an m79 grenade launcher that is for for flare/smoke signals only???

    EA don't patch games, they publish them. If you are reffering to bf2, DICE are the ones who patch it.
