  1. Did you manage to finish the mission with success? When will you release the DIH african campaign for Guerra du Ultramar? Can't wait...
  2. Jus beacuse I wanted to add some "variety" or better, because the BAF charachters look better than CWR2 chaps. Anyone I am going to make a further improvement in this mission in two version: V.1.03 - With all CWR2 references. v.1.04 - With all BAF references and no CWR, possibly with ACE. I hope you enjoyed it.

Hi Kommiekat Now with vers.1.02 the Armaholic download link is working fine. Will update a version with only BAF and not CWR issues, as well as an ACE version. Enjoy!

    [SP/@] The Troubles Part.1 (RWO)

Difficult to say when I have to use so many extra addons... Will try to make a mission update with just: Carraighdub, BAF, IRA... Will let you updated asap
  5. Sorry I put it into the wrong thread... Latest and correct version available in this page: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?172457-SP-The-Troubles-Part-1-%28RWO%29&p=2613227#post2613227 Enjoy
  6. Hi gentlemen, this time I made my last RWO mission in the european theatre, specifically in Northern Ireland. I am proud to show my latest mission: BAF/CWR2 the Troubles - Part.1 - Northern Ireland 1985- A counter terrorism british army patrol in Northern Ireland. By CimaleX - v1.01 WARNING: No political issues, I don't want to support or criticise anyone, no pro-british, no pro-IRA, it's just a possible mission with a logical historical background. The story: March 1986, Ballygawley, County Tyrone - Northern Ireland. Last 7th December 1985 the Provisional Irish Republican Army (P)IRA attacked the Royal Ulster Constabulary (RUC) base at Ballygawley, County Tyrone. Two RUC officers are shot dead and the base is raked with gunfire before being completely destroyed by a bomb, which wounds a further three officers. The player's mission: You will have indirect control over a platoon of british troops patrolling an area of Ballygawley, County Tyrone. A Land Rover full of SAS troops will lead the patrol, a Bedford full of 3-Para Rgt paratroopers will follow. A Westland Lynx and a Chinook HC-1 will come to support in case of Medevac and reinforcements are needed. Your first objective for the day will be joining SAS troops inside a village just secured by our troops together with RUC elements. You as a skilled 3-Para officer with several tours in this County, have the duty to join and guide newly arrived SAS D-Troops members from Hereford into the County, your first patrol together with SAS and a 3-Para squad is aimed to secure the roads and villages around Satnamarra and Ballybrian, pursuing IRA activities and confiscate their weapons and equipment. Here's the download link: http://www15.zippyshare.com/v/83078019/file.html Addons required: ArmA2 OA vers. 1.62 or higher BAF (or BAF lite) CWR2 lates version BAF/CWR2 expansion NL/CWR2 expansion Bushlurker Carraigdubh geotypical terrain Colonel Stagler' IRA guerrillas
  7. Foxtrot1 is developing them as well as some argentine vessels. Might be static models, like ArmA2 LHD.
  8. We have a first beta of british and argentine troops, but need some time to finish and improve a bit. Col Stagler is at a good stage with these units, but he simply doesn't have any time to dedicate to the mod actually. First of all artist's Real Life issues...
  9. It's difficult to put together people with different points of view about an issue that according one or another point of view is not closed yet. War ended on 14th June 1982 but issues continue to nowadays, nationalism or personal emotions make things difficult, even between two peoples that have a lot of common economic interests and history. I speak from a neutral point of view so for me is quite easy, fortunately artists like Col Stagler, Foxtrot1 and many others had no problems working in the same team, even without making too many things/addons in common. I hope to continue in this way.
  10. Great work! Amazing! Have you planned a release date? Carry on the great work gents!
  11. About 50% actually. Foxtrot1 is doing basically argentinean planes but now is focusing also on HMS Invincible and other british addons, while Col Stagler is working basically on troops, weapons and vehicles, of both sides. Dragula is working on the Falklands island together with Jakerod, who made a version of Carcass island for Colonel S. We received also cooperation from other parties (like Konyo, Rabidus, RNZDFcrash, Dimitri Harkow and other artists) but they simply do not have enough time. I'm just a supervisor, with some skills in texturing and modelling, cannot complete anything by myself, so I have to rely on our artists, who have limited time to finish the work as the community request. The good news are they don't give up, and the quality of their work (and experience gained) is really good. The biggest problem is the huge amount of time needed, and the lack of time by our artists (and myself). Cheers
  12. Give a look into "Modul_Anims". You'll find many other kneel or run or standing positions. Cheers

    Guerra do Ultramar

Hi Dimitri, look on armaholic SP mission thread there's another mission made by me: SP misison : [RWO] DIH Foot patrol by CimaleX This time I associated the DIH_Africa Mod to the RWO thread because those mission are based on real events. Enjoy.
  14. @h34dup: Thanks for the positive feedback, if you guys have everything to ask or to suggest for future releases please let me know. The mission is quite simple but based on a real scenario and plausible events. Next missions will be about a PAIGC party trying to ambus portugese planes using Strela SA-7 AAM (DIH_Africa again), plus another one based on "the Troubles" in Northern Irleand using Bush' Carrahigdub terrain and CWR2 BAF troops.
  15. Hi gents, here's my first RWO mission for DIH_Africa Guerra do Ultramar. First of all the mission pic: RWO/DIH Guerra do Ultramar - Guinea 1972 Foot Patrol- A counter insurgency mission in Portugese Guinea - By CimaleX - v1.00 A mission for DIH Guerra do Ultramar. The mission: Operation - fogo na floresta - (Operation fire in the forest). The plan is rather simple, we have three main infantry groups ALPHA GROUP (you belong to this unit) BRAVO GROUP and CHARLIE GROUP comprising five men plus an NCO, every squad has a machinegunner and almost an engineer (called picador) able to detect mines and booby traps, all in all the platoon is made by over 20 fuzileiros. Our task is to take or equipment, mount on vehicles, and reach a village and the nearby plantation, attacked by PAIGC guerrillas. We might find or not resistance in or around the plantation, they might wait us there, or hidden inside the forest while trying to escape, or make an ambush typical of their tactics. Your duty is to give suppression fire with your FN-MAG 7.62 machinegun, due to your recent promotion to corporal you are n°3 in command of the squad, in the eventuality one or both your fellow NCOs are killed or injured, you will take control of the squad. Infantry patrol is the most successful Portuguese tactic in this war. The main objective of the portugese Fuzileiros unit is to patrol and inspect of the forest in the vicinity of a plantation close a certain village attacked by the PAIGC. Once the first task have been completed (and be sure that PAIGC have attacked the plantation and the village killing people and burning huts and goods) we have to start the securing ops according to H.Q. orders: Move by foot patrols out of the ordinary dirt tracks and trails and start controlling the forest from north to south, find the guerrillas and eliminate them. CAS will be supplied by FIAT G-91 fighter bombers and Alouette III armed choppers if requested. Addons needed: ArmA2 OA vers. 1.62 or higher DIH Guerra do Ultramar @CBA ACE_SM (Optional just for more realsim) The link to download the mission (DIH_Foot_patrol.7z)is here: http://www72.zippyshare.com/v/23592019/file.html Hope you will enjoy, soon itwill also be released by Armaholic frontpage mirror.
  16. In my missions I am using CWR2 british troops and vehicles because I like the weapons and general background of CWR2 era, british troops are basically the same, Col Stagler did something a bit more accurate and complete. Buslurker's terrain do not support AI driving on left, for me should not be a problem (even if inaccurate about realism) BUT the problem I have with the terrain roads is different: When I put AI vehicles in a road, and give appropriate waypoints, it's possible that in some distinct areas of the terrain AI vehicles do not follow waypoints and stop, or sometimes (and only in certain areas) AI vehicles turn, or drive out of the path even in a straight road (like if they would avoid invisible obstacles, but they simply don't exist!)... Bush answered me that he was trying to fix the problem, hope he will release a final version with corrections or other stuff (or maybe has he already released an updated version?). Actually I have two northern island "troubles era" missions on developing, too bad I cannot fix those problems by myself with scripts or other. Cheers ---------- Post added at 16:19 ---------- Previous post was at 15:51 ---------- I found the answer by myself: sakudriver.zip lol:p

    Guerra do Ultramar

Yes, if you open the folder "t" (inside AloIII) you will find the following textures: POR_alou_signs_ca and UNITA_alou_signs_ca, plus SLA. In theory using old ArmA commands: this setobjecttexture [2,"\bwc_alouiii\data\t\alou_signs_ca.paa"] this shown SAAF roundels in old BWC ArmA1 choppers. Now should be: this setobjecttexture [2,"\dih_bwc_alouiii\dih\dih_bwc_alouiii\data\t\POR_alou_signs_ca.paa"] this shown SAAF roundels in old BWC ArmA1 choppers. Give a look if the path is correct, should be the same with Puma choppers.

    Guerra do Ultramar

This means that I have to put on or out a specific version of CBA? Or is there a specific scrip or command? Another little thing, when you released DIH_Africa for the first time (Required many P85 addons, I gess was 2010 or so...) there was a command to show FAP Portugese roundels (Cruz de cristo roundel) as it was designed by bushwars to show or not SSAF roundel. Have you maintaned it ? Cheers

    Guerra do Ultramar

Hi Dimitri, how can I detonate the antipersonnel (AP) mines you put into the mod? I put them on ground with mission editor but when I walk above they don't jump and explode... Any script?
  20. Hi Bushlurker, I love your terrain and started to make some good missions using CWR2 BAF troops as well as Col Stagler IRA chaps. Sadly there was a problems with roads, I couldn't make many waypoints for vehicles 'cause in some area of the terrain they didn't follow them. Have you made an updated version of the terrain? Cheers and (hope) carry on the great terrain work !

    Guerra do Ultramar

Here's my first mission using only DIH_Africa addons and @CBA, plus optional (only if you want it) ACE_SM (for sound realism). The download link is at: http://www16.zippyshare.com/v/61109616/file.html While this is the preview pic: Nothing special, an improbable mission defending the border Mozambique/Tanzania from FRELIMO raiders. The mission is pretty difficult, I need your feedback for possible release of newer and more realistic missions in the next future. Enjoy

    Guerra do Ultramar

The author for what I know uses Bis ArmA2 / OA AK-47s as well as FN-FAL, PKM etc... I guess you can put a folder like Vil P85_soviet weapons in the DIH folder if you want and make your weapons choice in mission editing as you want... DIH should add more west and east weapons in a possible future release.
  23. According to Foxtrot1 plans he should have an idea about the HMS Invincible class aircraft carrier. Will let you know further if the thing he is thinking about is feasible.

    Guerra do Ultramar

Hi Dimitri, how does it works the script: DIH_ACRE_vehRadios_special and what are its features ?
  25. Great work Foxtrop1 ! Please make the camo pattern 4A-115 of the example piloted by Commander Gullermo Owen-Crippa that on that morning of 21st May 1982 challenged alone the RN task group deployed to the San Carlos waters. He was able to avoid AAA and placed some shots with Defa cannons and LAU rockets on the first ship on his sight, the HMS Argonaut if I am right. The ship was just lightly dammaged, and his aircraft was the only one of six to get back to the continent before the end of the hostilities.
