[Need help learning how to use ofp editor + addons]

Anyways, im kinda computer illiterate and would like to know if there is a site of something that explains how to use the mission editor correctly and how to use scripting. Also, I would like to start downloading addons but have no idea how. How do you unzip the files after you download them? Then where do you put them? I'd appriciate any help and thanks in advance to all who do.

[How do you get a soldier to stay in one place?]

I cannot get a soldier to defend one spot and stay there, like in a bunker. How do you get them to stay still? Also, how do you get a soldier to enter the large bunker? Do you use the "get in" waypoint?

[How do you create your own islands?]

I would like to know how to create your own islands and add buildings. Also, how do you download add-ons. Are there step by step instructions somewhere I can follow?
