I just realized that the AMOS could not be done using the Patria XA or AMV series base, because OFP doesn't support "optical sights" in wheeled vehicles Well, Swedish mods could mount them on CVs ...

Well, you could have a scenario that the Russians have seen the aircraft that dropped you on radar and send a patrol to check out if any troops have been deployed. I usually place the vehicles under trees or camouflage nets. About the patrols, if there is a wall around the base (there wouldn't be a base if it is only a temporary encampment), there would be a patrol walking around the perimeter, but also guards in every corner of the base. The HMG and AT launcher would be concealed on either side of the road.

Do you mean grammar by "linguistic structuralism"? I think it would be more beneficial for schools to encourage for example critical essay writing and discussion instead of trying to find a solution by means of a prescriptive approach towards grammar.

This would be a fantastic addon if it really will have scripts with similar quality as ones made by BAS! Good work! Take your time and finish it properly ;)

Well, what I learned in the army is that tents and vehicles are always placed 50 meters apart, not in neat lines like in OFP. Tent doors face the opposite side of the presumed direction towards enemy. Vehicles would probably be camouflaged. If the compound has a gate, there would be a guard there. A few soldiers checking ID cards etc. + a heavy weapon as a "stopper" about 50 meters behind the gate, for example a HMG or a sniper + a soldier with an AT weapon. There also would probably be a patrol walking around the compound every now and then. You could also have a group of soldiers ready to reinforce any part of the compound.

Would it be possible to simulate those munitions which break into smaller ones when descending? Anyway, I think the whole AMOS thing will be very difficult to handle, regarding the usual OFP indirect fire problems ...

Another thing that I think is very important when trying to achieve realism in OFP missions is to focus on realistic unit compositions. Try finding some ORBATs and place units according to them. Not that I'm trying to fit a battalion into a little OFP town, but a platoon, for example. I also create minefields guarded by AT soldiers, choose the best places for MGs and so on ...

They are made by Ivan/Edge, as far as I can remember ...

The base of the gun is green like Goeth said, but I agree, it lacks the metallic shade it has in reality ...

tykäri, I agree with you 100% ;)

To answer your question #2, I am afraid there is no such gun available for OFP at the moment. Say, I presume you would like to have a transport plane flying towards the objective while there would be AA ammunition exploding around it? I suggest you look around for a script that creates explosions around the target aircraft, if I remember correctly there should be one around. Try searching this forum or check out ofpec.com

*drool* *drool* and even more *drool*. Hope he does use proper BIS crew models for this one, if I remember right, the last version had Spetsnaz as gunner and driver.

Probably makes the soldier apply camouflage to his face after he gets out of the water?

Those boys sure look like their service is almost over Here in Finland this phenomenon is called "gona". According to legends, in ancient Rome, "gona" meant a soldier who had lost his mind in battle

Sounds like an urban legend to me But I wouldn't be surprised if this turned out to be true

Heheh, it seems that beating sailors is a worldwide phenomenon. The Finnish Navy flagship embarks on a training 5-week training voyage through something like 10 ports in Europe every two years, and what I heard, the sailors are told every time to take with them their civilian clothes for shore leave, because if you are wearing a sailor's uniform, there's a very good chance that you get beaten up by locals. Iiiiin the naaavyy ...

For propaganda films about nukes/fallout/nbc warfare I suggest you head to archive.org. I have found some very interesting ones about the series of tests done in the Nevada desert. There are also other videos about Cold War which are very interesting. Here are a few titles I'm particulary fond of: Atom Bomb, 1946 Communism, 1952 About Fallout, 1955
