What's up with all these bombings? On friday here in Finland a 19-year old student blew himself up in a crowded mall, killing 7 and wounding over 80 persons. The young chemistry student had built a claymore style bomb with about 2 kg of explosives with shotgun pellets in it. It's pretty sad that most of the wounded (+1 killed) were children who were watching a clown performance. I guess often peaceful places make perfect targets for terrorists and lunatics.

Damn, I kinda like all kinds of animals. We have a dog, seven parrots and an african midget hedgehog. I guess the dog is still my favourite. I have a huge dislike for snakes. They are the most disgusting and repulsive animals I know.

Need a good texture editor...

I got Paint Shop Pro 7. It doesn't allow me to open pic & paa files. What to do? -
One word: Groundbreaking! Absolutely fantastic, but I wish the poor ruskies would get addons of this scale someday. Of course there is the Kiev class aircraft carrier, but that's like too big

A proper sniper AI would be enough I think It would be fantastic if you could actually feel being in danger on open areas. BIS could maybe improve the sniper AI engaging in a future patch?

What kind of buildings/static objects
cam0flage replied to N.o.R.S.u's topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Norsu, because you are finnish too I dare you to make a few FDF tents, for example PJ and sissi I guess I can get you some photos of them. Also, what is really needed are new camonets! Camonets need to break the form of an object; they shouldn't be just a cube over the vehile. -
Finnish Defence Forces will receive new sniper rifles within a few years, they will use the new Sako TRG-42, which has a maximum range of 2200 meters. Check this link for some information and a picture: http://world.guns.ru/sniper/sn22-e.htm I've shot once with a Sako TRG-22 when I was in sniper training during my military service, it was pretty fantastic with 16x sight. After shooting with it, going back to my TAK-85 (another finnish sniper rifle) was like changing a Ferrari to Lada.

It's a bit controversial, with outside point of view you can see more than you actually could, but when using the "realistic" view you can't see a thing. I've watched thru the prisms of a T-72M1 and BMP-1, it is actually hard to see outside. The tank crew told that it is very difficult to spot for example infantry soldiers if they go prone and stay still. I guess implementing a realistic view to the vehicles would ruin the gameplay.

Can't deny that this plane is nice, but hey, where are all the new planes for russians? It would be nice to have some big plane capable of paradropping.

I collected money a few weeks ago for finnish WWII veterans. We had our whole company doing it, raised a lot of money.

Why I'm posing with that magazine is a totally different thing, or not ;P. Actually I found it from my friend's table and the point of the picture was to raise the question, "What on earth does this here?"

Here is a picture of me, posing with a quality teen girls' magazine last sunday before I returned to the garrison.

I'd like to meet some political figures from the last 50 years, and hear what they were thinking about the cold war and other subjects. The list: Urho Kekkonen (president of Finland 1956-1981), did a lot business with the Soviets and managed to get the relationships between the two countries relatively friendly. JFK Some soviet leader Actually I met a pretty interesting person yesterday. We had a small combat display for a bunch of foreign generals. Just some basic CQC and securing buildings. After the show, the generals wanted to talk to us. Of course none of us speaks russian so there was a translator; this one general asked almost everyone a question and was really friendly. He wore civil clothes, everyone thought he is some retired russian who just likes to talk. Well, after the show we were informed that the guy was a former commander of the Warsaw Pact. Afterwards I started thinking that it was a pretty special occasion, you don't get to shake hands with a man who has commanded armies of several countries, including a huge arsenal of nuclear missiles. What a boring sunday

I've been trained to be a sniper in the Finnish Defence Forces, I got this list on my desk about equipment we carry with us during crisis. Item number four is a medical kit. About the training, I only got the basic medical training the others got too. Nothing special.

What kind of gun does BTR-70 have?

For some nice clubbing/drinking/whatever action I suggest you head to Ayia Napa. I've been there twice, I really liked the place, except it is full of annoying british citizens But it's nice if you want to meet some scandinavian ladies. Have a nice vacation!

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">It could be SAD (seasonal affected disorder) what with the long dark winters.<span id='postcolor'> There is a period of darkness above the arctic circle during midwinter when the sun basically doesn't come up at all, when people get very depressed and tired. That might cause some difference in suicide statistics, but I guess its basically the traditional problems with alcoholism and isolation from other persons. But I have to admit that 3 month period without sun doesn't certainly do any good. I live in southern Finland and really feel tired and depressed during midwinter.

Hmm, at least Finland has the highest suicide rate for male persons in Europe, or so I heard :/

Nice red marks, thank you. How can civilians just come to shooting ranges?

I live in Finland, and I have to admit there's nothing more annoying than leaving to work/school/whatever in the morning when it's dark, and when you come home it's dark again. Winter is sooo depressing. But hey, you just have to love midnight sun on the beach with a beer in your hand

I'd like to get some basic equipment, like properly modeled russian NSV 12.7 heavy machine gun, to replace the dumb M2 model OFP uses for russians.

Here in Finland it didn't rain for like 2 months while I spent most of the time at the garrison. Last wednesday when I got on a vacation lasting a whole week, it started getting foggy, and on thursday it started raining. Autumn sucks, but every day away from the army is a sunny day // cam0flage

Spitfire mk2 and macchi c.202 proplems
cam0flage replied to D.murphy man's topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Somehow that Macchi made my OFP lag like hell. Spitfire and Mustang work fine ... strange. Anyone else having the same thing? -
Screw the airbags, our only hope is Bruce Willis with a drill. I'm not talking about an ordinary drill, i'm talking about Kegetys' Drill Addon.
