On the other hand, you might be wrong, there are 15 different versions of MiG-25. Who knows, one of them might be a 2 seater? Props to Sea Demon for great textures. I hope he will continue to bring out more aircraft for the Russians. Personally I would like to see some of the first russian jets like MiG-15 or MiG-17.

I was so drunk - it was like the alcohol itself was drinking me instead! Jesus Christ, what are these goddamn animals? Certainly a success, had good time with friends and met a really nice girl

I wish we could get a modern spetsnaz addon pack. Check out what this GR mod has to offer - pretty impressive, eh?

It's clear that FDF has had a trend of getting more and more western equipment lately. Hornets, Leopards, ASRAD-R, Spike, CV9030 ... did I forget something?

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">I don´t think it has been mentioned...aren´t the CV9030s supposed to be in Jaeger brigades? I saw a picture of one in an FDF leaflet, but only remembered it just now.<span id='postcolor'> I think FDF bought 57 CV9030FIN (the correct designation), which will be deployed in the rapid deployment brigade of the eastern military district. 57 vehicles isn't that much, in this article, General-Lieutnant Kylä-Harakka admits that only one jaeger battalion and brigade's reconnaissance elements will be equipped with the CV9030. Here is a link to an interesting article about CV9030 in comparison to BMP-3. Too bad it's only in Finnish, but it is definitely worth checking out.

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">Full Metal Jacket and Appoclalypse Now were written by Herr and alot of the stuff for those two films comes from Dispatches.<span id='postcolor'> I hope you are not claiming that Herr made up the whole storyline for Apocalypse Now, because it is based on a novel by Joseph Conrad, called "Heart of Darkness", first published in 1902. It tells the story of a sailor named Marlow, who travels to Belgian Congo to work for an ivory trading company as a river steamship captain. I won't spoil the rest for you, it's an excellent novel and everyone should read it. I guarantee you understand Apocalypse Now a lot better after you have read it.

Voted for objects ... I want to have more camonets.

I think it's ok as long as the wound textures are visible in the commander and the position is still available for action. A wonderful addon, too bad we cannot have two guns firing, so we could get two tracers. Edit: Some weird smilies found their way into the previous message ...

Poland seems to be heavily renewing the equipment of their armed forces - they just chose the Finnish Patria 8x8 AMV as their new armoured wheeled transport. The deal includes 690 vehicles and is worth about 1 billion euros. Here is a link about the AMV. There must be some requirements for Poland to raise their army to NATO standards, but I think they could find a lot more use for the money used for these AMV and F-16 deals.

Those are really weird looking vehicles Reminds me of Russian armored cars in the beginning of WWII; a single light machinegun mounted on a chassis of an ordinary car, covered with thin steel plates.

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">well it is really not that bad - suomi smg is usually fired with other hand on the barrel (covered with metal sheet) itself.<span id='postcolor'> That sounds pretty weird - normally a barrel tends to get very hot when shooting, as I am sure you know. Maybe I'll have to search the web and find out how the protection for the hand is implemented. I was browsing milnet.fi earlier today, and decided to check out the "fun" section. There were some games where you had to recognize different tactical markers. Those would make a really nice, small and possibly easily implemented addon. I guess they would look pretty cool in briefings too

I loved the way Pravda reported this news in the beginning of this month: "Clone Wars to begin in December" I guess they were right ... or not. Too bad I was unable to find the article.

How does that Suomi SMG fit into the hands of an OFP soldier?
-
I tried searching some Vietnam sites about PAVN armor, didn't find anything related to MT-LB. It was introduced in 1970, so it would be late Vietnam era, but I seriously doubt that the Soviets would pass on their best and newest equipment on to the Vietnamese. Anyway, I don't think MT-LB would have been that effective in the jungle. Here is a link to an article about PAVN armor.
-
Another good idea would be to make some local defense units wearing M62 and having Suomi SMGs as weapons. Of course, it would more and more work Are there any good sites in the net for Finnish ORBATs? Please post links if you know any good ones.

I agree with DarkLight, it's kinda sad to make jokes about the suffering of the civil population. What would you think if it was your country? I don't think NK can seriously harm the U.S., after all, they don't have ICBMs. There's another country which is probably scared to hell by the current situation besides South Korea, that is, Japan. I hope the North Koreans don't have the guts to use nuclear weapons, but when I see how they treat their civil population, who knows what's going to happen?

Merry Christmas! I have to disguise as Santa in a few hours ... my little brother still thinks he exists
-
A great addon, but I think I found a little something ... The axle between the wheels seems to be lacking textures. Or is it meant to be white? Are you planning to do a winter version of this? That would rock.
-
What else are you planning to do besides Pystykorva and Suomi SMG? Any plans for Lahti-Saloranta LMG or Emma? That Pystykorva looks very good! Merry Christmas to all FDF enthusiasts!
-
It really delights me how the Santa has been so friendly to the Soviets this Christmas It's only 10 am and they already got a field gun, new BTR and soon a new MT-LB
-
Amazing ... what else you can expect from these guys? Merry Christmas!
-
Both ... but lately with SEB Nam Pack 2, I just can't help thinking about those co-op missions

A jaeger from the Finnish Defence Forces attacks an enemy T-80BV with a 112mm APILAS launcher. FDF jaegers trained for special ops prepare to storm a building. Operating far behind enemy lines, the FDF Sissi troops ambush an enemy truck.

So can you name any good ones for me to get?<span id='postcolor'> I suggest you get Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002. I liked it a lot, it was the first time I really got into simulations. It has some nice features like a take-off and landing checklists which enable new players to remember things that have to be done. It has pretty nice graphics and you can find a lot of additional airplanes and scenery on the Internet.

My mother just moved back to Finland from Houston, Texas, and she brought my father that new Palm, something like i705. I examined it a few weeks ago, I didn't really understand what's it supposed to do. Newer gsm phones offer almost every useful feature it offers. Maybe I'm just way too European, but I still would prefer a cellular phone ...
