it's pretty accurate. Basically the game is ambitious and fun untill you run into a glitch which ruins the experience for ya.

You are so right! There is also something wrong with our society when North Korea threatens to wipe out America with a Nuclear Firestorm but all we seem to care about is Micheal freaking Jackson dying. P.S. you might want to wait for the next patch to be released before playing or you might be setting yourself up for frustration.

dude i feel your pain. I am on the same mission and was told that i have artillery support but its not there anymore in the communications tab... marines have told me to wait to assault the main base until they arrive for support, but they never come. The freaking UAV keeps crashing or doesnt lock on to targets when i want it to. For some reason my helicopter transport is just sitting on the manhatton helipad and i can no longer call for transport... I am supposed to arrest some dude in his house which i know i supposed to bow up but never does so I am just standing outside the guys door waiting for something to trigger. the only god forsaken trigger that works in this game is the one on my gun, THANK GOD FOR THAT... i always have the option of shooting myself in the head over completing this game.

well i stopped launching the game from the desktop shortcut and am now launching from steam under "my games," so far its been working fine. kinda weird but at least i can play and at high detail settings too.

I need help, I dont know whats wrong. My other games work fine, including the Arma 2 Demo which is now uninstalled. However, I just purchased Arma 2 from steam and everytime I try to play I get about 2 minutes in to the game and BAM my entire PC shuts down. This happens no matter what mission I play, even the Armory. I have lowered all of my video settings from default to low even though I think my PC can handle normal-high no prob... Ive tried High settings on the demo and It ran smooth and never crashed like this, so now I am on low with AA and AF disabled and it still shuts my computer off. Here are my PC specs: Vista Ultimate x64 EVGA Gforce 8800GTX 768mb Athlon FX-62 dual core (2.8mhz) 4gigs OCZ platinum RAM Sound Blaster Audigy 2ZS

(Possible Spoiler) I am on the last mission which takes place on the small island where i am to stop the massacre of civilians by killing off the Presidents remaining soldiers. Â After rescuing the civiliand I am supposed to track down the President on the other side of the island before he escapes, I run to the end of the island with my squad where the last few presidents soldiers are hiding. Â Every time I get there to capture the president the game tells me that he escaped and I "****ing Failed!" Â The mission then reloads. Â My question is, is that supposed to be the end in which he escapes or am i doing something wrong because i have repeated that mission about 3 times and he keeps escaping.
