[Released] Survival Pack (Food + Water + Items)
Callsign replied to Shaanig03's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Nice work - I've always thought about doing something like this. Have you thought about modelling some real military ration packs for more of the military side of things? -
Hi all, I've just seen the new announcement for the Western Sahara CDLC from Rotators Collective - https://arma3.com/news/arma-3-creator-dlc-western-sahara-is-coming-soon I figured we should have an unofficial discussion thread. I hope this fleshes out the setting developed by @Lexx's great 'Dunes' mod (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1731998436), and alluded to in Bohemia's own Tac Ops DLC. It's interesting that we're playing as ION again - do you think we'll see a similar portrayal as in Arma 2 PMC DLC? Just fyi for the devs however - 'Assistance' is spelt incorrectly on the side of this helo - (FIXED)

Congratulations on the release guys - can't wait to play the resistance campaign!

Looking forward to playing with these good boys and girls ๐ -
Very exciting news! Definitely a great development for the Arma community and for the future of Arma! Please see DMs @soul_assassin@PuFu.

I bought it as I wanted to see where BIS are heading and I can honestly say, even as a hardcore singleplayer gamer, I'm not disappointed. I think it's still very early days and there's loads to fix and add, but I'm glad BIS seem to be keeping to the authenticity of the Arma series.

Initial reactions: The forum needs a Reforger section! The twitch stream was great, the 1980s style was a great touch. Marek needs his beard trimming ๐ I love the sluggish vehicle engine startup - feels very familiar! ๐ It's great the vehicles have more weight to them. Oh my god, the building interiors!!! Graphics look great, but I now need to update my computer.... Great to hear Arma4 is confirmed and being worked on. Is the water an indication of something slightly maritime related? The walking animations are a bit stiff/gamey, the character doesn't looked weighed down enough. I already miss the different stanches from Arma 3. The FoV seems a bit harsh - but that might just be me. The holding compass animation was off to my left with the compass held up to begin with, then moved to in front of me. Where's my camo cream??? ๐

Looking good! I think separate releases would probably be best. Good to see the AH-99 getting more firepower - I always thought the vanilla version was lacking compared to the Kajman. You should really rename this thread to 'Ex3B's freebies' though ๐

Because everyone is entitled to make their own mods, and who knows, maybe they'll add something that has been overlooked.

Western Sahara CDLC Unofficial Discussion
Callsign replied to Callsign's topic in ARMA 3 - CREATOR DLC
Really looking forward to this @lexx - if it's anything like your previous work it'll be definitely worth getting! -
What is the point of this post?
-
Amazing work as always!
-
I figured it would be something simple like that!
-
Can anyone clarify for me why this old (well August last year...) Arma 2 related anniversary music is named under Reforger? Have I missed something??
-
I'm looking forward to playing this given your other missions!

Loving it so far! The weapons look great and you can see the effort put into everything. I'm not a huge fan of the bunched up nature of the terrain, but honestly it's not a deal breaker.
-
This surprised me too when it was announced. I almost made a thread but decided against - well done! ๐ I'm also concerned about the MP/SP balance. I'm hoping these campaign missions will be decent enough in length for SP. Reviews so far seem promising though. I didn't realise the terrain was fictional ๐ My first thought was - I wonder how they've dealt with performance. I really hope BIS pull something out of the bag if they're hoping Arma 3 is going to be around for a long time, otherwise it's going to handicap these new CDLCs.

The tail rotor issue is because of Advanced Flight model not being set up for CUP vehicles (as far as I'm aware) - turn it off. Re Rat Hole: agree on wingman dying quickly - I go into autohover as soon as I can visually see the first Vulcans/units, gain height while using optics to target them. It's a bit of a hacky way of completing the mission. I think adjusting the view distance would fix the mission.

T.16000M HOTAS - Teething problems, troubles flying and throttle problems.
Callsign replied to _S_I_N_'s topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
Adjust the sensitivity of your twist in the controls. One thing to think about though is removing the keybindings from your keyboard - there's an issue where it halves the input (sensitivity) from your controllers. This means your throttle loses sensitivity which is really crucial for getting into a hover (as shown in Feint's videos). -
T.16000M HOTAS - Teething problems, troubles flying and throttle problems.
Callsign replied to _S_I_N_'s topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
Try watching this video by Feint: Re: showing where the middle of your throttle is - go to options > game > show gauges. Keep going, using HOTAS is really satisfying once it's set up and I'd never go back to keyboard and mouse. -
Great looking work but oddly sexualised name...

Good to see other members of the 'old guard' lurking as well! ๐๐

I can completely understand why you'd want a break from things for a while. Come back when the time is right ๐

Keep up the good work SHJ-Studio. Please don't let a tiny minority spoil modding for you.

They're all worth playing for the campaigns/ missions but the interest/quality of each varies. There's loads of mods for each so it's worth having them just to explore, even if A3 is what everyone plays now.
