Finally! Some words about this subject.

At Last.. if its true and well done, will change the game immersion entirely. Good to know this.

Don't understand why BIS didn't mentioned before, it indeed needs to be improved.

    Hope its true.

  2. The only problem I've got with ofp and windows7 it's that I can't connect to any server for multiplay :( it seems related to internal win7 firewall configuration maybe it block some protocol or port used in ofp multy

all the rest instead works well.

Absolutely zero problem with arma/arma2 :)

Yes, i forgot to mention that issue, also have it.

Even if OFP (Resistance.exe) is add to firewall exceptions, sometimes i cannot connect to the server or create room as if my firewall is on all the time. Also tried to disable firewall completely but the issue remains. Cant see server using remote, can see servers only using filter.

I really don't understand why people say win7 is the best SO. It runs slower then Win XP, and i bet it can only be noticed in old Computers like mine (P4 3.0Ghz, 2Gb ram, board: abit7, Vcard: Ati Sapphire 1950pro 512mb)

I only like a few things on Win7 and might not worth it.

  3. What did you do when you first bought OFP? Did you immediately checked out the editor or did you first played the single missions and campaign? Not everyone is into mission editing. I started getting curious how it's done, after I finished the campaign and played all single missions.

    Kind regards

    nettrucker:D

I went to the editor, i thought is was very interesting and then when i got a little bored with the editor i went to the campaign and found another enjoyable area too :D

Good old times.. I don't want to lose those special feelings OFP gave me.

    I'm between 1 and 3.. if i vote i might vote 3.

  4. I for one think the game need a powerful computer to run with decent and enjoyable quality and fluid game.

At the moment i can't afford a new computer, i can run ArmA2 with my current rig but i don't have enough pleasure playing it because lots of times i do not have a fluid game, and for me thats crucial.

I know there are few old OFP players in the same situation, some people can't afford new rigs to play ArmA2 in order to have reasonable pleasure.

Maybe in a few years popularity of ArmA2 grows up.

At the current days i play only OFP because its the only game i have fun with.

Some ArmA2 addons just lag the crap out of my computer, and i prefer not to play it.
