Would you like to see a WW2 Eastern Front Mod?
bravo 6 replied to =Spetsnaz='s topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
WW2 style does not excite me nor inspires me very much. Though every addon is a good addon. -
LOL Sorry, I couldn't resist.
-
I hope the game passes trough Portugal first, only then to Africa, "normal gravitational force".

I finally had an amazing time with ARMA 2
bravo 6 replied to haberman13's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
I for one, as a true coop fan, also think those missions destroy the fun of the game. Like i already said numerous of times those particular missions should not be considered COOP missions at all. -
ArmA2 & ArmA1 Models Size comparison
bravo 6 replied to bravo 6's topic in ARMA 2 & OA : MODELLING - (O2)
Thats why i asked what i asked in the 1st post. I'm using ArmA1 Soldier as comparison so after porting to ArmA2 everything fits normally. If ArmA2 soldier has the same grid size as Master85 referred in 2nd post everything should be ok, right? -
Can someone tell how the models from ArmA1 behaves in in sizer term on ArmA2, for example the ordinary soldier model? I'm asking this because I'm making some buildings on O2 based on the size of ArmA1 soldier model's in order to have a comparison. Thanks for your comprehension an sorry if this question sounds stupid. But i have my reasons to ask this.

Thank you very much. Does it have Desert Cammo too?

In my opinion what was said by Maruk is not enough to fix what we need, it still not enough to solve the problem! The issue seems to persist (will persist after version 1.03) and it is destroying the game, we are losing some new players that don't know how BIS works (constant updates and improvements). @Squelch: In your experience you don't mention if you move position after your suppressing firing to the AI. Naturally he ears where the fire comes from and fires back. Now if you move among the tall grass and if the AI was unable to see trough the clutter, you would be able to hide in the grass, move among it and escape the enemy thread. But if you do this i bet you would be shot and killed very fast, meaning the grass clutter is there for visual candy and what Maruk mentioned is not enough! Theres no doubt BIS still need to improve this problem, like Maruk him self referred it. I believe BIS will fix it, with time, but not for the next 1.03 patch. Until then i will wait for my ArmA2. -
Its a fact! A lot of players are complaining about this grass issue, you can confirm it in several threads spread in the forum. Search and you will find. AI Does see trough the grass and have advantage over humans whatever people say. The solution is not to remove the grass, but maybe shorten it a bit more so player be able to see around while in prone position. I really hope BIS finds out a good working feature, even if they use some time on it, to make this problem disappear completely. I do believe it is very important to solve the grass issue (clutter issue) as soon as possible because it does affect the Game immersion. In my opinion what was said by Maruk is not enough to fix what we need, it still not enough! This issue is destroying the game and we are losing some new players that don't know how BIS work (constant updates and improvements). Theres not doubt BIS will work on this feature and will release it in some future patch, after version 1.03. (Dev. Source)

Bah! Very funny! :D If i was a player i would be frustrated while playing in that video. ^^ -
Another player that thinks the grass is destroying the feeling and spirit. BIS really need to fix the grass issue very fast, or they will lose a lot of new players and believers. @Heigou: the game still have some issues that we believe will be solved with time by the developers. So be patient.

bravo 6 replied to NeMeSiS's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
IF they did, thats not good enough! Though in my opinion they should improve the area that flattens the grass. Its way too large. And if the grass was fixed properly this "flattens" feature wouldn't be needed. No it didn't solve the issue at all! It didn't do the desired purpose. The issue still remains. This important issue destroys a lot of the immersion feeling and realism in the game. I'm with Heatseeker suggestion, i also think, like i already said in this thread, the grass should be shortened in a way, not to block human sight. The taller grass should have some kind of View Geometry LOD to block AI sight like they do and block human sight. Of course this wouldn't take much performance because most of the grass would be small and shortened (without View Geometry LOD) and it wouldn't block human sight. I second that, i have not bought the game yet, and I will wait until it is implemented correctly like it was promised. It was said this feature would be implemented correctly in a future patch. So, I will wait for it to buy my game! EDIT: Those that think like WMike20052: The feature should be released after version 1.03. All we have to do is wait for it to come out in some patch. -
Ok, i won't. I don't want to convince you of anything but the Terrorist might believe it. :j:

This game made me violently sick. Might persue legal action.
bravo 6 replied to bigtime102's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
mad rabbit don't sue the one you think is saying he's going to sue him, because you might end up sued by the 1st suer and perhaps the second sued one will, eventually sue you for sueing the suer. So don't sue the suer that is going to sue. -

Well, from you I'm not surprised. Some useful suggestion for future experiences: Read the manual, including rules, before using anything that have manual. -
Damn your right again. Better not use real-world conflicts else someone will call their lawyer and use legal rights "again". Anyway, what was asked here will be modded by the Community for ArmA2.

You are completely right and correct. Though its not very intelligent to refuse a opportunity if it knocks at your door. I understand you don't like Afghanistan or maybe you think its boring, you have the right to think what ever you want, also vote what you want, thats why there is options in the pool. Believe what you want but OFP/ARMA1/ARMA2 is all about variety in search of pleasure. Knowing Afghanistan is the current days war theme i hope someone creates more and more of this theme.

Forum Rules. People have to respect it. Is that so hard to understand? edit: For those how are interested, ArmA1 had a mod for this specific topic. Search and you will find it.

its not PTSS, its PTSD. Yes there are some in here. Though i doubt this gore is needed to extreme details. In my opinion it does not give me more immersion and feeling because of it. Actually i play with it turned off to have better performance while i play.

Don't use it then.
