Last night i was playing a coop mission in tonal's city. It was a guerrilla fight in city. I went prone looking trough a small and tight alley and there was a soldier really next to me (2m) after that alley. He started to fire and i couldn't escape or return fire faster because i was dependent on the ofp slow movements. If i was able to roll over to my right/left side i would survive. Would be nice if we in ARMA could do that. (dunno how this could work for AIs ) .: Roll over to sides in order to escape faster.

The distance between the city and that soldier is at least 1.5km possibly 2km. That makes the island at least 20x20km, which coincidently is exactly what BIS have told us it is. I must agree with Red kite and GBee. Though the island "look small in a way", but the distance is more realistic and thats what i want to stated with those pics. Because thats what matters. The distance from the big (1st) soldier to the city must be like 2km (maybe more), might take a while to get there by foot. 20km in real life is huge! Think in a realistic way, with a normal car, 20 km to cross might take you about 20/30 mins or more depending on the terrain. So thats not that small. edit: The small arquipelagos could be the blue zones.. (from blog) enlarge

don't know what so funny.. if you guys look to bigger pics and check the pic with soldier -> top right side you can see the small rivers, compair the roads.. gezz is that hard to see? deanosbeano -> i not able to solve that problem yet, i haven't finish University yet, maybe next year edit: Looks like area well guarded by US forces. Dont play other game so cant compair graphics from other games. Just said my personal opinion. I may not say exactly what BIS could do to improve graphics because works excape me. I do understand BIS have big work changing all these effect in a very big map but would worth it  Foliage trees some times are square, it could be more detailed and round or something.. I say this because when you creat a video for a mission i like to involve nature in that video, and would like to count on good vegetation to make mission more inspiring. BIS is in a good way for that. They already showed us some impressive pics, in my visual opinion only folliage needs to be changed

placebo your not beeing fair on this subject, you could moderat it abit too. in some way people think the same. the only difference is that i post. Ill stop post these bitching demands you point. But i wount stop giving my opinions about how ARMA can be better/improved.

here we go again.. Forums are for this kinda things. People say their opinion. If BIS want poeple to buy their game its good for them to hear the community, as i play OFP for some time now and every little improvement can increase inspirations for new mission ideas. Thats why i expose my ideas. people like you how complain about others opinions are a pain in the ass. I care for this game. I want to build better maps created by inspirations.

would be more natural knowing soldiers carry some heavy equipment. that image would be more natural then the ones with the arm dislocated. FOCUS on the Arms only (though the legs are kinda strange.. the movement is not natural.) vs (arm have a strange position)

Graphics in game needs to be improved, especially the foliage of trees and bushes. I like the palm trees though. I know trees and bushes have that specific quality, maybe thats what made OFP so Special.. What i want to say is: <ul>Will this old specific quality of OFP trees and bushes FIT/Appropriate in this kinda graphics? I repeat: Palm trees are nice! but trees and bushes suck.

i agree with that.makes sense really, arma was an afterthought spawned by ofp-elite,it has turned out to be a game in its own right ,but initially was just a placeholder for game2.i think thats where all the storywork is concentreated right now in game2 . Normally missions are made and created by inspirations. Hope BIS give us good inspirations... Good Inspirations => Good Missions

agree. when deanos said donkeys i dont mean like this: Would be nice if AIs/Players have different positions when they fall dead. In OFP theres only 2 ways to remain dead. Up or Down with arms and legs exactly in same position. These animations could be explored to be more natural. The way they fall and remain dead.

That's what i think too. It's the only thing in videos we've seen so far that looks like s**t. I guess BIS is leaving that for E3 or maybe even for a later date, who knows? I just can't believe that BIS is gonna left AI the way it is now (in videos). 5 more days for E3.. cant wait for it.. hope BIS release some new info about ARMA, starting to annoy.. interviews and interviews and more interviews that always say the same "crap".. but by the way they exlained in last interview AIs can comunicate or not to near squad, we will have look out AIs. I bet Part 2 of that interview will say lots about AIs behaviour all "crap" we want to hear thats why they are stalling Part 2

true, animations will be the last thing.. so BIS are doing some improvemente on other fields then.. I like any arma news

i bet all civilians have garages.. cause i cant see any cars, jeeps, trucks. Also no more militarys in sight patroling.. just 1 soldier guarding all city when a people imagine a city, what do they cross their mind?
