I was looking at the incredible screenshots for OFP on the forum. What mods do you use to get such graphical improvements? It looks awesome!

My pc gets really slow running FFUR 2008, and what I meant was the best part for me was the new soldiers. Thanks Edit: I can't seem to reach the site via your link or through Google. I really want to play trhe unmodified campaign with the modern looking soldiers fron a mod - does that make sense?

I've only done the first mission in CWC, but do I not get command view till later?

I  ended up trying FFUR 85, which I think has SLX with it. I went through the extraction and the last thing it said was " you can now run OFP with the SLX Replacement Pack by using "-mod=@SLX". There is an icon in the folder that says Launch FFUR '85.exe, and when I use it, the game menu starts with teh FFUR screen.  The question I have is, do I need to do something else to also enable SLX in addition to FFUR, or is SLX already running in tandem with FFUR? Sorry, and thanks  In other words, if I've started the game from the "Launch FFUR 85" icon, I can assume SLX is running as well?

What does the auto drop down menu in the texture menu do(4x, 8x)? On a modern computer, should I run D3D or D3D T&L? Thanks

I just installed GOTY. When I go to the programs list to start the game, it always starts as Resistance. How can I get it to start Cold War Crisis? Also, how do I enable Red Hammer after I finish CWC? Edit - got it - click the arrow

so a setting of "none" would provide the best visuals?

I'd like to try that out. I don't have any mods or anything installed - just OFP GOTY. I see in the instructions that I just extract the folder to the OFP directory, and then run the .bat file. There is another instruction that says "To install mod configs" copy the mod + @SLXto your OFP directory. Does that mean if I have no mods installed I don't need to do that, or is this another step in the basic install of SLX? Thanks for the help. Also, does this modify the way the troops look?

I have the stock version of Arma. I installed it awhile bacck and it ran pretty crappy on my pc. P4 3.0 w/ ht 2 Gig ram 128mb 6800 card I see there is a beta patch, which I am hoping will improve my performance some. I had alot of graphic anomalies and such. Point is, what patch(s) do I need, and in what order? Thanks for any help. Queens Gambit is not installed.

thanks, but I'm still in AGP - it's hard to find a card I wonder how a 7300GT 512 would compare?

Thanks - sometimes the patches for games include all previous ones. So I will do 1.05 first, then 1.08, and last 1.09beta. Last time I played I think I only installed 1.08 and not 1.05 first. Maybe that was part of the problem.
