Thanks for this latest build of FFUR TB, I've only just had time to try it. I wonder how much time you've put into it all together from the start? must be some serious hours! I can feel the end of ofp creeping up on us now, it's things like this that has made it last so long - but who knows, some of us might still be playing it in a couple of years? Thanks again to you and your team TB.

Even a single cell amoeba could see there is no logic to playing Rooney on the wing or Giggs on the right, when every time he finds half an opening then has to check back onto his favoured left foot, which loses the impetus of the move - it's not just the il-logic of playing players out of position, it's the Bullshit tactics of backing off and backing off when the oppsition get the ball. That is why so many wonder strikes have been scored against United this season, they back off and dare the opposition to have a crack. When United were at their best they played pressure football not allowing the opposition time on the ball, why did they abandon these tactics? does'nt Fergie remember those days? does'nt he remember how they won those trophies? Another issue is the tinkering, they used to call Ranieri the tinker-man when he was at chelsea, but ranieri's got nothing on fergie, Giggs has been rested recently to the degree that today against the Arse he did'nt even look quite match fit, and was obviously rusty. Because of what has recently been happening to Chelsea, it's gone virtually unnoticed that United have started shipping goals. And why do we ask ourselves this is? A couple of weeks before christmas fergie stated his intention to mix things up over christmas and rest some players, well, well, well, what do we find happening? yes that's right United start conceding goals. So is resting players and de-stabilizing the team more important than winning trophies? surely united would be out of sight in the premier league if fergie just kept a winning team. Why not, when a player looks 'tired' take him off in the game that he fails in? instead of trying to pre-anticipate when they need a rest? United might win the premier league this season, but is it still time for fergie to go? or does it just need somebody to have a quiet word in the senile old fools ear to remind him how they used to dominate? This is not a knee jerk reaction to today's result against the Arse, the United fans who chant at old trafford ATTACK! ATTACK! ATTACK! for the last couple of seasons will know this. I know united's tactics in the last couple of seasons have been frustrating a lot of united supporters, this season has obviously been an improvement, and fergie uses the excuse that the young players need more experience and that it's a young team, young team? Van der Sar? Giggs? Neville? Ferdinand? Scholes? Heinze? Saha? Larsson? young team? Bullshit.

Well guys, I dont know wether to laugh or cry... I've just taken delivery of my new PC which I ordered a week before christmas, on the website I ordered it from, it guaranteed delivery before crimbo day, delivery was held up by the Asus striker extreme mobo being out of stock. So why present it as a sale item, part of a pre-christmas delivery guarantee? So here I am nearly a month later, what do I find when I take the tower out of the packaging?... it looks like somebody has taken a baseball bat to the back of the case! I'm not going to name the website but it begins with cyber and ends with system...

Is there anybody here running ArmA on a Quad core PC? Because my Brother has just talked me into ordering a (Quad-Core) Intel CoreT 2 Extreme QX6700, with a GF8800 gtx. I've seen somehere some people having some issues running ArmA on Dual core PC's, I hope I'm not too future proofing!

BraTTy, you're an ofp veteran, what were your first impressions when you first started up ArmA? Did it 'feel' like ofp, could you tell it was related? It would be interesting to know wether ofp veterans are being more receptive to ArmA than gamers who are newer to the ofp/ArmA franchise. Or vice-versa maybe?

Is there any danger of it coming with an idiot proof installer? Also is there anything to say about the units reportedly not being compatible with other community ww2 stuff? I was wanting to ride to the rescue in an alternative reality xxx corp dash, with some Brit shermans I've knocked up. (I've not actually tried the mod yet, waiting for the new version).

I apluad the decision to release the mod, even if it is'nt quite to the standard you wanted to achieve with it, it would have been insanity not to release it just because you were'nt 100% happy with it. The reality of the situation is, is that soon, to most people ofp will be just a memory because when people play AA they wont want to go back to ofp, no matter how nostalgic it is for them. It would have been a shame for this mod to have been released after the mainstream release of AA. I want to say thanks to everybody involved... especially the ones determined to get it released, I hope you're proud of it, even if it has'nt quite ended up being 100% perfect. Nice work guys!!!

Yes he's quite good! I've not seen a reply to the question I posed about the tank muzzle flashes, have they been purposely reduced?

I have'nt got a question specifically about the screenshots, but what I want to know from somebody that's played the game is the behaviour of AI vehicles, especially the tanks. I asked this question yesterday but did'nt get an answer, if somebody could please enlighten me... "Also can somebody that's played the game confirm the behaviour of AI vehicles, please, please tell me they dont do a dance when they see the enemy, please tell me the tanks dont do an eight point turn on the spot when they see danger - I'd love it if you told me when they meet superior forces they reverse out of trouble to find cover, firing as they go..."

I have had exactly the same thing with the stairs, not only that but I could'nt walk up the ramp in the CWC campaign training mission. But apart from that, thanks TB and friends!, it should tide us over till AA. Also of course, credit to the original addon makers, this is the best way to avoid addons just being played around with in the editor for ten minutes and then discarded. Thanks again to all involved. P.S. I noticed the bright muzzle flash is'nt there on King Homers M1A2, was it deliberately taken off? I can't remember if it was there on the last FFUR.

Awesome work as usual, by everybody involved. It's a shame they've probably come a bit too late for the FIA versions to be considered replacements for the FIA T-55's in FFUR.

None of the RHS guys deserve to be spoken to like that after all the hard work they've put in recently (and in the past). If you want them to continue making addons maybe an apology might be in order, if you want them to give up... keep insulting them.

Personally, I think just some flames coming out of the windows, then after a while smoke coming out of the windows would look better than a building collapsing in a milli-second like a pack of cards. Hopefully this has been worked on. Going off track a bit, but I thought the turning speed of the tank turrets might have been slowed down a little bit for ArmA, but it does'nt look like it.

It seems strange that press coverage in the UK (leading pc games mags) has dried up in the last few months, AA seems to be being completely ignored, the lack of propaganda for the game is worrying. According to PCzone mag these are the big 'incoming' games for late 06: FEAR: extraction point LOTR: BFME2 Medievel 2 Need for speed: carbon Phantasy star universe Res evil 4 Scarface Star trek: legacy Test drive unlimited LOTR: online, SOA Warhammer: MOC The witcher World of warcraft: TBC ?!!!!!!!!!!??!? If AA is released in the UK in November (06) after so little marketing, it could be commercial disaster. They'll be relying completely on the existing ofp fanbase to buy the game.

Beautiful work D@nte, I really hope there will be a top WW2 mod for AA in the first couple of years of release, the factor of being able to have more units on screen at any one time should suit WW2 more than ofp. Hopefully the different WW2 mods can pull together once AA comes out.

You've got a nerve, we still remember Hans Segers over here - who's place of work should have been a Circus not a football pitch, although thinking back now it's difficult to distinguish between the games where he was just being a clown and games where he was taking bribes to throw the games. Van der sar is blatantly past his prime, at 35 he's obviously not going to have the youthfull agility that he once had. We saw that in some games last season, I dont know how many man utd games you saw him in last season. Having said that I'm not saying he's a bad goalkeeper, I'm saying he used to be better. You're right about Fergie however, he's a tactical dinosaur now, he talks about "patient football" when the rest of the footballing world is playing a more and more high tempo game all the time. He won man utd trophies by playing fast flowing attacking football, now he just wants them to "keep the ball". Well, I think there'll be a lot of brown envelopes stuffed in pockets around West Ham tonight! But back to Man Utd... I really dont know where to start, I despair. This is the summer they really needed to make some inspirational signings, number one priority was a ball-winner in midfield, so what does Fergie do? he buys another Darren Fletcher who likes to casually stroke the ball around for Å18m. I think Fergie thinks that the players that have under-achieved for the last three years are going to magically turn it on this season. He complained about the squad being too small last season, but now he's got rid of half the reserves through loan deals, so now the squad is even smaller. And that's not all... Rossi's gone to Newcastle to learn bad habits & learn how not to play football. Scholes can't see. Saha is incapable of going through the season without at least a semi serious injury. Solskjaer will never be the same player again after two years out. O'Shea could'nt trap a bag of cement. Van der sar, Giggs, Neville, Scholes, are past their best. Rooney's played too deep (he's an explosive striker, what's the point in being explosive in midfield?). They've lost a striker that guaranteed them 25-30 goals a season, even if he had been sulking since Beckham left. Fergie's in denial about Fletcher, he's got the stamina of a 36 year old veteran, looks like he needs oxygen after 20 mins. The transfers or lack of transfers into Utd this summer show just how amateurish the biggest club in the world can be. Having said all that we're top of the league but I'll be shocked if we're in the top two at the end of the season. We have'nt played anybody yet.

what do you espect , the way the smoke is done is ofp and arma doesn't give much possibilities , you can only find a better texture... that's good the way it is. I dont know wether you're agreeing with me or disagreeing with me?

I dont know if it's just something to do with the campaign or not, but I'm playing the Max Powers campaign at the moment and when I 'borrow' an RPG-7 off a Russian - it becomes invisible if I switch to 3rd person! And I'm being sniped by guy's with shotguns 400mtrs away!!! I'm enjoying it nonetheless.
