i've experienced the same problem and am currently in exchange with ofp support at custservice@codemasters.com they just told me to start the game without sound, in their usual short manner and ignoring half of my questions. but anyway, i will do what they say for now and hope for the best. besides, there have been several players experiencing this bug.
