  1. As I have said in my erlier post, there is a world of difference between killing an armed enemy (who is out there to kill you and your friends) and the murder of unarmed and inocent children.

    Just for the discussion:

    As djfrogstar mentioned;

Quote[/b] ]Children with AKs were fighting in Falluja, why not in ARMA?

Not all children are unarmed and innocent, some are considered armed enemies.

I personally do not mind children in arma, as civilians or child-soldiers, but I do understand why people dont want it and why it can become bad publicity.

A very interesting and hot topic.

  2. Please do not make the chopper flightmodel easier/dumbed down.....  confused_o.gif

I suppose this isnt doable, but if it possible keep 1.05 flightmodel in veteran settings..

Jeez, can't they just add two options for flying helos?

Trying to make everyone happy usually either doesn't make anyone happy, or makes happy only the one side.

I vote for the flight model from 1.05, or even more sophisticated one. Why should I agree with simplyfying it? Just because somebody said it's too hard?

@funnyguy1: Was that a reply to my post? As I can read your post in two ways I think its best to ask you funnyguy1 smile_o.gif

1- You misread what I mean and believe that I want you to accept a dumbed down flightmodel (I do not believe this but it can be)

2- You agree with me and express your feelings like I did (probably that was what you ment?)

I totally agree with you and as I read it we have the same view...

  3. In short:

Performande is ok, but a bit lower. The textures are uglier and darker. 8800GTS

I will not play with this patch as the last beta was very good in performance and looks for me.

    edit: C2D E6600, 8800GTS, 2gig ram , XP

(a good functional computer with good drivers that normally plays arma very good)

  4. When I get an idea of what mission I would like to play/make, I always start with the potential problems. If there will be scripts/scripting I always make sure that all of that works before I do any "artwork". When (if..) i get all the scripts/fancy stuff working I expand it into a framework/missionbase and build up a world that is believable around it. Then I add all the elements that will be the missionplot/reason for the player(s).

Alot of testing all the time to see what will be affected by the new implemented stuff (that testing/tweaking part is what makes me to loose interest in too many missions, I get bored of them before I can play them..)

  5. About the sounds, the zombies correctly "SAY" the sounds, so they should be distant-dependant. Again it's the engine's task to handle that.

Yes, they are dependent of the distance, they are just too loud. They are like 10 times to high for me. From 100 m they sounds like 10 meters away and 10 meters away they sound like they are breathing down my neck...

  6. Ok, the mission is on rapidshare. Link in first post.

Quote[/b] ]and no theres no issues.

I thought it might be some issues with codemasters / BI because its made for another game. But if it is I kill tha link. I hope its no problem as its a very good mission! biggrin_o.gif

  7. Very nice! But the zombie sounds are too high. I can hear a zombie snarl and eat several hundred meters... When a zombie is within 50 m from me it sounds like he is breathing down my neck.Is it supposed to be that high volume?

I have no soundmod, and x-fi with latest drivers.

Am I the only one with this sound problem?

  8. Maybe you should start to organise your own games? I suppose you have to train up 99% of the people that want to play with you wink_o.gif, but IF you are willing to train up a couple of persons to your standards you might get what you want. I know that I am interested to be taught by a proffesional where teamwork is everything. Actually drilling and to practise something into perfection is something that I prefer more than a "good fun game".. I do like to relax and play with a couple of good friends and talk about everything and nothing over the coms, but I know the real treat is to see the result from good fokused training and thats what I always wanted.

To bad I do not have the time right now for this game, and the future is uncertain... But I would really like to get serious in arma.

  9. I believe that the word "teamwork" can be looked upon differently. Some consider "playing together in a group" to be teamwork, other demand specific roles and tasks to be teamwork.

Its fun to play in a team and work together in a casual game, but sometimes I would prefer to play in a more hard drilled "machine" where you never have to figure out where your teammembers are or/and what they are doing. If a team is drilled you do your bit and the rest are doing theirs as a team, teamwork.

edit: I wouldnt mind training contact drills and so on in MP, I have always missed that type of training. It would be a great feeling to execute something and everything is working as it should in the team. Casual gaming is ofcourse nice also, but there is so much potential and fun in drilling. Do it over and over again until the individuals work as a team. To bad I do not have all the time I want, else I would spend more time with arma.

Well anyway, I hope you can understand what I mean....

  11. Ooh... So Kegetys spectator script doesnt work in MP when I`m alone and hosting the game?

But spectating script aside, why doesnt I spawn as a bird? I played another mission that I made where you spawn as a bird to see if it was BAS f mission or Arma. When I died I did spawn into a seagull, in BAS f mission the game ended abrupt...

edit: After reading my earlier post I realise that I didnt emphasice that is was in MP. All my testing was in MP, hosting the game and alone. I know that Kegetys script doesnt work in SP. But I also know that abrupt ending isnt normal. It really cuts of. When I kill myself with a grenade I doesnt even hear the sound from the grenade. This only happens with the default, not changed, BAS_f_v0-0-25.Sara.

  12. The second problem - animations (you would need x10 more animations for each move direction smile_o.gif ). And I think, that this is major one, which won't allow to make such system in arma. Maybe only through some kind of dynamically modified animations...

I think you can use the old animations, just change the animationspeed. It looked good in the movie when played at lower speed.
