I believe weapon sway and inertia are realistic and necessary, but it is being implemented with one glaring flaw. I urge anyone who reads this post to grab your nearest rifle, airsoft gun, pellet gun, or even a broom. Shoulder the weapon/toy/cleaning device, then press your cheek hard against the stock. No matter how hard you breathe, or how much you move, as long as your cheek is welded to the stock, your optic will stay centered with very little movement. Your weapon will sway and your sight picture will move all over, but the optic stays centered! Now, in game the optic seems to magically wobble all over the place even when aiming down sights. This makes me feel drunk and uncomfortable. I suggest that you maintain the inertia and the amount of sway, but keep the optic in the center of the screen, moving only slightly.This is my issue with this. And as it looks like my avatar is hitting himself in the face with the stock all "authenticity" goes out of the window for me.
I don't mind sway nor fatigue, I like it, but please make it feel/look authentic.
edit: I have to add that I like the system. Room for a few tweaks really, as always :P

I'm not having any problems with the bridges at all in game, what exactly is the problem?I havent seen an AI drive nor walk over a bridge since armed assault.

I would go the other way. Instead of disabling it, RHS should make "bridge addons" or help other addon makers to upgrade their addons to RHS penetration standard.

Well guys. Don't credit me. This is all nonov as I've moved on to another project. Maybe if a mod sees this you can transfer the thread to nonov, don't know of that's possible or not?As far as the bridges...I have them working in a3 for my other project and I will hand them back to nonov to include. Basically it the nonaicfg(hehe mobile and can't remeber if that's the correct spelling) class that causes arma3 to crash. So I classed them as a house class and they work fine including destruction.

How is 3D working in A3? I remember when I played OFP with my 3d glasses there was some problems with smoke. I remember reading that A1 and A2 suffered from similar problems.

There are a lot of undocumented features. I didn't know about that alt-feature. I also remember that there was a key combo to skip briefing in MP editor, but what it is I can't remember, or maybe it doesn't work in A3..?
And I miss the tank controls from OFP.

It's a personal pet peeve to see Youtube channels and news sites call Wasteland or KOTH or many other missions "Mods", when they require no downloads past the mission file, and don't change that core TvTvT gameplay. I have yet to play Breaking Point, so I can't comment on where that stands.Yep, you are not alone.... I also hate when people call missions for maps.
Missions are missions, however complex they are. They might need addons or a mod. Mod = a group of addons dependent of each other. A total conversion mod changes the game.
The missions happens on maps (earlier called islands).

Maybe the easiest way to end this is to start a server with a copy of A3L and have no "donation system". Then there is no much reason for people to pay to play. One must ofcourse remove Forza and Crysis objects, and give Tonci and other A3 addonmakers credit. "Stealing" the A3L name is karma :P ;)

Obviously I haven't tried it on my own computer but from the youtubes in this thread I think the sounds are good but the mechanical noises and reverbs are more dominant than the actual shot. So yes, maybe a tweak of the different levels is in order :)

It would be nice if the weapons recoil changes your trajectory and speed in zero-G.

Not really sure how they do it now, but if the camera is moving how can they change the weapon pivot point? But if it looks like the stock is firm against the shoulder and the sway is a bit less and quicker to align the sights sure I'm all in :)

To give a reason to not use the biggest gun possible.Arma 2 balanced this shit by having negative mouse acceleration and it made the game feel terrible, this is a better way of doing as you still have the 1:1 mouse movement just now fast movement misaligns your sights.

I didn't, I brought authenticity into the argument. Which is a what BI themself is trying to do, they used that exact word. I don't mind misaligned sights, I mind having the stock of the weapon flying around in my face.

Sure, but why can't my avatar hold the weapon stock firm against the shoulder? The type of movement of the weapon is wrong and give no feeling of authenticity.

Scoring is good for death match. Maybe there should be a "team score" and a "side score" option. That way it's more important to work for the team/side instead of the ego. For coop I find it best to disable the scores as it distract players and it can also be used as a cheat to find out if that enemy far away over there died or not.

I stopped playing as a tanker in armed assault as BI didnt bother with interiours after OFP. That is very important for me as being glued to the optics both ruins the immersion and makes me tired after some time.
I wished RHS would do interiours too but I guess they will work just fine as targets :D

I call it the "HALO-factor". I don't recognise the futuristic HALO vehicles or weapons so it's more of a game than an immersive escape into war. Sure it's all possible prototypes, but it still doesn't work for me. Now with AiA islands and RHS it's slowly turning back to what I can relate to, rainy pine forests with spetsnaz and fields with T-72s.
And yes I voted A3. It's all about the engine. Get rid of a few annoying bugs and it will be playable again.

Dont you worry, the gameplay will never die just change server (hopefully with an admin that respect the law and the community). We shouldn't support anything ilegal nor should we support servers which do not respect authors wishes (RH as one example).
