I would gladly uninstall windows if Arma could be run on Linux. The ONLY reason for me to have windows is OFP. A friend of mine thinks that windows is the biggest problem with ofp. Its sad that you "must" use windows for games..

How high you can jump depends on what you are carrying. Full combat gear.. Not high if at all. Rucksack, not at all... A pistol and some clips, ok. Include jumping? Almost no reason to do that but if its there and its realistic its not bothering me. To play in full combat gear its a "no-jumping game". If I want to get somewhere I can leave (?) my rucksack and some gear to make it possible. But I dont think BIS should make jumping a priority, there are more important aspects of the game. If they make it it MUST be realistic! EDIT... This would maybe be better in GAME2 forum... I missed that it was Arma....

One anoying thing when sniping in ofp is that if youre not laying on flat ground or straight up/down in a slope the player-model is tilted to the left or to the right. That means that the rifle with scope also are tilted -> the hit are to the left or to the right depending on your tilt.... Thats because the bullet-path are correct, the bullet drops straight down, but the scope and view are tilted. Therefor it looks like the bullet are travelling to the right or to the left, you can read on this forum here and there that people are writing about bullets going left or right and sometimes straight.... Try it out if you dont believe me  . Go prone on a steep slope and aim along the slope (hope you understand... Not up or down the slope..). If you look at the model from 3d person you can see that you are tilted. If you are tilted to the right (your right shoulder down) your shot will travel right. If you kneel or stand up the playermodel is straight up and the scope are horizontally aligned -> you only have to compensate for the bullet-drop. (Sometimes I prefer sniping from a kneeling position if a prone position would affect too much) This is one important thing I hope will be corrected!!!!

Hello! I believe that the BIS MP5 are too accurate and deadly when compared to WGL weapons. If I havent missed anything WGL doesnt have a MP5 and I would like a compatible one... If someone know any realistic values or can help me, please reply Â

I would like to add a script to an addons fired eventhandler without loosing all ECP-effects. Last time I checked that part of the ECP-readme wasnt updated(?). What is the line to paste into "fired"??

I have a problem with your handguns (excellent in all other ways btw! ). When I pick them up from the ground, dead bodies or crates I cant reload them and the slide stays back. Reload-Hotkey doesnt work and there is not a reload option in the actionmenu. I have magazines....

I think that is a good idea, more realistic and naturally. I dont know how difficult it would be for the developers but if you assign all the "usual" actions as reload, handgun (as you already can do so there are no need for them to be in the action meny at all! ) and so on there would only be actions from interactive objects like doors, ammocrates and so on. So I see no problem (because I now nothing about programming   ) to assign a "perform action" key as there shouldnt be need of a menu to scroll through if you only get one action when you are close to f.ex a ladder. Ofcourse there must be a menu or something similar when using a ammocrate. Maybe the menu pops up when you "use" the crate?

Something that I have wanted in a game long before OFP is direct speak so what your MP-buddy is saying is coming from his/her character. So if he/she is standing close you can whisper and over longer distances you need to shout (poor neighbours...). That would be so much cooler than hearing everything over your headset, regardless the distance. I would also like to see a more developed radio-system: -Short distance group-radio, if a team member gets to far away that person is breaking up and other radio-disturbance occure. -Radio, One bigger radio carried on back, longer distances. Only the person with the radio or a person standing next to it can communicate with it. Are affected by mountains like in real life (go to higher ground to get connection..). -Relay-stations that improve the radio-"network". Blow it up for the enemy and his communications are affected. Combine this radiosystem with direct speak and you can talk to your buddy that are laying in the same bush through game (loadspeakers) and at the same time communicate with another through radio (headset). That would be cooler, more realistic and interesting than having all communications go through Team Speak (or similar programs) where everybody hear everything and distance is of no matter.... I hope BIS will implement this.

Yes, direct speak was available in an earlier patch but it isnt now (please correct me if I´m wrong and it works with the latest patch!!!). But there have never been any radio-system that are affected by mountains and range, I hope there will be in game2..

I have made some addons and altered many (for my own use). I think that texturing are the hard and timeconsuming part, but at the same time the most rewarding! -
Maybe its possible to use SOW (The Sinews of War) for this in the MP-version?

good idea KyleSarnik!! What about making a "invisible strecher" and have the animation when laying "on it" to look like the soldier is carried without stretcher and are hanging. You know, one soldier grab legs and the other the gear..

IF swim and jump it must be dependent of the equipment. Drop some gear and you could swim and jump better. To much and you cant jump and drown. Like in real life.
