  1. Before ofp got out i said i didnt like historical games - only now-time or future actiongames like IGI,SOF and so. But BIS made ofp in such a good way, that i got more interest for such coldwar games! I think it's a bit stupid to start analyzing all signs of ofp2 as a nam game. Then it's not the same excitement waiting for this new game. But i am sure BIS know exactly what they are doing, and that this will turn up as another great czech production Lets all just close our eyes and wait for middle-may and this E3 conference!

    Animations

and mabye some animations connected to the group commands (of there will be any commands in ofp2) like "Flank right" and he points to the right side. "Get down!" he points his hand down a couple of times. "Go go go". He stays back and swing his arms to 12 O'clock.

True, true and true. But let's not forget the addon pbo.. MANY addons are uncompressed. Many ppl are packing MLOD models with PBO Tool which makes the addon itself pretty big. So mabye binarizing and compressing an addon with MakePBO (or other good pbo tools) should be a part of AAE...

    Binarize plug-in for o2?

Many people post and complain about having problems with binarize. Would it be an idea to make a plug-in for O2 which made you able to 1.Save/compress directly to ODOL files and 2.Browse to and binarize a folder And there would be really great with some included config application which would make your CfgModels section perfect. (I have seen a lot of CfgModels which work, but looks VERY long and advanced and confusing) Now, thats my idea... And hey - if binarizing would be possible, mabye packing a pbo could be possible w the plug in too... hmm..now i am dreaming

would be pretty smart. but who would host that giant database? anyway - the prog could download a file directly to the addon folder... and missions could be programmed to get copied to the campaign, mission or mpmission folders..

people say they refuse to use installers. But at the same time a lot of gamers have downloaded mod demos which actually uses an installer themself.;) But why dont just make one AAE installer and one zip? Thats what i will do. cant be too hard... Â

you can always take the initiative to start one "essential addon list" yourself as i have 58emails to read, i did not take the time to read every post in this thread closely, but any addonmaker can make one addon, and can publish two versions - zip or this installer. Only diffrence would be that the one with installer follows AAE, is easy to use for everyone and may (sometimes) be packed better then zip files (excuse me, but i haven't tried the installer yet, so im not sure about the compressing). the other file would be more "friendly" so you are sure of no "hidden" files to be installed, and you can be the install supervisor - place the addon whereever you want. And the zip might work with other OS'es than windows only (for Linux servers++)

Texture very low quality in o2

by using "deep exploration" you can convert from .max to .3ds files. Â i guess this aint the prob, but atleast i know this prog converts a valid 3ds file... something progs like milkshape seem to have problems with..

    .pac files wont show

is the image 128x64 pixles? if you have an "invalid" size, the whole paa gets invalid, and it dont work in O2....

    Car-15s

well, but as I read at http://www.angelfire.com/wa/cagiva2/delta.html: "Delta troopers are also equipped with the most advanced weaponry and equipment available in the U.S. special operations arsenal. A significant portion of their gear is highly customized and cannot be found anywhere but in Delta’s lockers." I understood this like that the deltas might have their own versions of the CAR15 such as many other weapons too... That it might not be any 665 or 683 or whatever but rather a "CAR15 DeltaSpecial" or so... and anyway - changing the weapons name aint really a problem...
