    Asymmetric Warfare Components

Wasnt aware that only those addons come out that ppl begged for most. Interesting concept though.

    music in arma

I think a mixture of different styles would be good for ArmA3, some metal stuff for the opening video/menus and a great cinema soundtrack for different ingame situations (stealth, alert, action, victorious, sad.... etc). And i agree, the metal stuff in ArmA2 is nice to listen to, but it sounds over-distorted like an old 64kbps mp3. :P My C64 sounded better than that, sorry.

    Ghost Recon: Online

Ubisoft's problem is that they're only dealing with 2 types of ppl now: a.) normal customers who got knocked over the head by the DRM and stay away now b.) crackers who crack new titles to proof something Another problem they're working on (or better: making worse) is that online-pass for consoleros who buy 2nd hand games. All in all, pretty good job Ubisoft. You can thank us later for showing you how its done.

So how do you think Afghanistan and Iraq is developing?

    A paradise for weapon dealers?
  7. ... i can see it coming. In a couple of years everything will look like reality, but every once in a while the game wants you to press or click something on screen. :P I hate where this is going. How casual can you get? [edit] Actually i think we're in some kind of BIG LOOP. It's going to start over with something like Dragon's Lair on LASER DISC back then, just on your pc.
  8. What part of it have you 'tried' - the opening cutscene? Seriously, MP classes and upgrades are where this game shines. My guess is you're judging a MP game by its SP. ;)
  9. Managed to setup dualboot WinXP / Win7 on the WE and gotta say BF3 is a blast. Only gripe are the cutscenes in the campaign where you need to do timed keypresses ....i thought that sort of 'gameplay' would have died in the 80ies. Guess not. Looking forward to install ArmA2 CO on Win7 with 16GB Ram and see how it plays. :)
  10. Translation: One of the things that bothers me on the ArmA series is that its realistic gameplay is different to how i feel it should be. I'm sure many people who play these series see it exactly the way i do. But the way it is now i feel like i'm being left out. Don't misunderstand me, i do not want it to turn into a totally different kind of rush action game that has absolutely no use for kilometers of free open world. To say it like this would make me look stupid. But what i'm implying is that by making the game i bit more like i'd like it to be i would surely benefit from saving the time to do all the little mods and tweaks myself. :D nice try

    Spawn Group via Terminal

Use Createvehicle for vehicles, createunit for AI: http://www.arma2.com/comref/full.html#createVehicleArray Then use moveindriver, moveingunner, etc to put AI into the vehicle you create.
  12. Try it and tell us what part you cant get to work exactly.
  13. Crazy world. Btw we also have shops in Germany where its forbidden to use your mobile phone to take pictures, but this has to do with Android's search for cheaper product prices in the local vicinity ;)

    The Thing 2011

    The Thing 2011

Lol walker, i love your posts :D Hmmmm. As a human being my 'job' is to reproduce (rather important) and find a natural balance in my environment (optional) - oh, and enjoying Life[tm] itself (fun reasons). As such everything getting into my DNA and making me want to kill other humans is definitely NOT the cause of nature and could lead to the end of all human Life[tm] as we know it.

    The Thing 2011

Well, George Lucas is an exception here, he thinks its enough to let some characters say an additional ' NOOOOOO' here and there to get the ppl to buy his old stories on Bluray ;) Uhm, so you'd love to get your DNA mixed & replaced by Alien DNA? Plz PM me the city you live in so i can make a big way around you hahaha :D
  17. Nice scripts, doesnt get simpler than that. Good point to start from :)

    The Thing 2011

Got TheThing on Bluray now and it looks totally awesome. No need for a remake at all.
  19. That about sums it up for me. You think there's chaos all around you but they won't let you roam about because then you'd see its all just an illusion created by sfx, smoke and scripted sequences left and right. Actually its a compliment to the designers that they can trick into thinking like that. ChaosOnTracks is just not for everyone.

    More accessible mission design

Someone wants pure action missions, someone can fire up the mission editor (providing he bought the game at all)

    Sound fx request

Sounds like Interkarate+ on my Amiga 500 back then. Haha :D

    Aliens: Colonial Marines (At Last!)

I love how much attention they obviously put on details, if you've seen ALIENS the movie you instantly recognise the architecture of the corridors and special rooms like command HQ or med lab. Its plain GORGEOUS :D

    I see arma2 everywhere

    9/11 10th Anniversary

I feel with all ppl who lost somebody on 9/11. And i feel sorry for ppl who chose to ignore the facts presented after the commission report which don't fit into the official 'version' of the happenings. Some Americans still search for the truth and thats good to know: http://9-11cc.org/index.php/2011/06/03/senator-gravel-video-on-a-new-911-investigation/
