I've managed to run my own dedicated server on my gaming machine and it worked perfectly. However, when I load the CBA (all three), BWMods (inc Compilation) and RKSL mods I receive the "KPFS_BW requires addon CAWheeled2_VWGolf" error message. Thing is I can run the game in single player with those mods and I don't get that problem. I downloaded the mods from the forum links here and the error was present, I updated my mods through Six Updater which said mine were an incompatible version and the error still remains. I've used both the arma2oaserver.exe (with the "-mod=" parameter) and the TA2DST dedicated server tool and I get the same result. I run CO on my machine and I put all my addons in the OA rather than A2 directory. Any ideas what might be wrong? Can anyone test it for me?

Thanks, yeah it has to be something to do with the mods somewhere. I'll post in the troubleshooting thread.
On a separate note I tried out Warefare BE on my machine last night and it ran like a charm. No slowdown until I got in the air but that's expected as it's Chernarus. The team A.I kicked arse and the enemy A.I commander built an impressive base. It even put walls around the buildings heh. Really enjoyed it so fair play Benny. :)

Weird. WFBE doesnt require any mods at all, so maybe youre better off deactivating the ones bugging out for you. On the other hand i have something around 60 mods activated on both my dedicated (beta version, started using TA2DST) and my client (beta version, started using Arma II launcher) and it works perfectly. What do you use to launch your Arma 2 Client? I did encounter weird problems with mods not being loaded in the past before i started using Arma II launcher. Apart from that id try redownloading and reinstalling the BWMODS as CAWheeled2_VWGolf is clearly a part of one of those.I actually use SpiritedMachine's ArmA II Launcher for solo and online play. The BWMods work absolutely fine when I run them from it. It's only when I try to run them on the dedicated server that I experience problems. Do I need to include an additional path to the dedicated server exe/TA2DST for Combine Ops or something? Saying that I can't find CAWheeled2_VWGolf in ArmA 2 nor OA. Thing is I've installed the BWMod and BW Compilation addons from the threads here and then again from Six Updater (after it said my version didn't match theirs). The problem still remains.

Well it is not an SP Mission, so you need to host it to make it work, but every slot plus commander can also be filled/done by AI. So yes, it can be played in SP, i do it all the time. The AI is a little bugged though and is being rewritten for the next version, so keep that in mind if the AI gets stuck on the map, or the AI commander stops building stuff.Id suggest you use a dedicated server+client on your PC, as hosting it using just the client has way worse performance. If you just want to test some units set the money and supply parameters of the side you wanna play to the maximum value and set Upgrades to all.
Thanks mate. I've used both the arma2oaserver.exe (with mod parameters) and Tophe's excellent TA2DST tool with success. The only thing is when I tried loading the CBA, BWMODS and RKSL addons I always get the message KPFS_BW requires addon CAWheeled2_VWGolf. Even though when I run the same mods in single player I don't get the same message. I've made sure the CBA mods go first but the problem remains. I'm not sure whether the server doesn't run in Combined Ops for some reason? Seeing as I'm using a OA dedicated server. I put every mod folder in my OA directory.

Looks like a great tool. I've been meaning to use my own machine as a test server for Benny's Warfare and BWMod/RKSL stuff. In the TA2DST folder, do I need to create a MPMission type folder inside/alongside the username folder?
Update: I've sorted it, I just needed to put the missions in the MPMissions folder. :)

I havw both addon_leopotam_export_p3d_mlod.py and addon_leopotam_import_p3d_mlod.py on my HDD if Leopotam is willing me for me to upload them. They were made for Blender 2.62 where as the current version(s) is 2.66/2.66a.

The re-write is taking longer than I expected. I'm basically re-writing from scratch, so the code is much cleaner but of course it will take much longer than a copy/paste conversion. I'm going to have to take back my statement about releasing the updated build this weekendIt's a little hard to keep myself motivated considering I don't play anymore, but your kind words are nudging me along! :D
Take your time and please do carry on. I consider this launcher an essential tool for ARMA considering all the mods and permutations of the game.

I don't think this is an issue at all and I wouldn't worry about it just as nobody has really worried about it over the past 4-5 years or possibly longer.I don't think BattleEye would let it happen. TS has been used very heavily in clans/squads for many years going back to Arma1 and before. Its a necessity with the extremely popular ACRE mod that every clan/squad uses. I just can't see BE or BIS breaking that. Just doesn't make sense whatsoever.
Still, it's good someone has queried it to be sure. I haven't played ARMA online for ages and certainly not with the TS overlay. So I have no experience there to say otherwise. In addition, the developers of TS have issued the warning so there must've been some issues for them to state such a disclaimer in the first place. For those with little to no experience with TS it's perfectly reasonable to exercise caution.

It's not misleading as a warship could be designed/modified for the game. There is one I've seen on YouTube but I can't link it as I'm on my phone using restricted wi-fi. But it may be possible for it to be modified. Anyway that's not the point, it's a matter of whether people would want to see warships introduced to warfare. As you said, an amphibious assault ship would be useful. I think a sort of small fast attack boat would add an interesting tactical dynamic to the game, in addition to some greater mobility.
As for the practicality of it, capturing a major port like Electrozavodsk or Chernogorsk would make the idea feasible. Perhaps having a 'naval command' upgrade would work where the commander could call in destroyers and frigates. Regular players could construct smaller vessels such as patrol boats and amphibious craft.

I'm sure like me there's many here that enjoy playing the online warfare mode. Whilst I know the game's maps are primarily designed for land warfare, it would be great to have warships to add an interesting dynamic to the game, there would be some balancing issues to sort out but expands the idea of 'total warfare'. To Anyone agree? What warship addons could be used?

So what's the consensus here about the most likely bottleneck for ArmA? Usually it's the CPU's core speed right?
Am I right in saying that the devs do not feel the games in the past and possibly in the future (ArmA 3) does not justify the use of using over a certain number of cores (3/6)?

That I7 is hardly a bottleneck. Instead of investing into a H100, i would get a SSD instead (in case you don't have one already).I already have a SSD though, Corsair F60 which is dedicated solely to ArmA. I do need a new graphics card which is why I will get the GTX 670 but I was speaking in general terms that the CPU tends to be the greatest bottleneck.
Haven't you overclocked your rig anyway? :p (update: yes you have!)
If I were to overclock my CPU to say 4GHz, then it would improve the game's performance quite a bit, wouldn't it?
There's a Samsung SSD going for £80 which is 128GB and one I'd like to get so I can get the BAF, PMC and ACR DLCs and download more addons without needing to worry about space.

A new map will be made for Zetaborn Aliens v2.0 addon. Its based on a real area in USA (sorry, not Roswell or any other similiar place). Its a small rural area with three towns an an airport (or two). Perfect for human vs alien MP event with several scenarios I'm already putting together ;) it should be fun.Can't wait!

Kavoriken - if I want to try mods with Warfare BE, say ones that belong to the independent faction, would I need to open the mission up in the editor and attach them to the module or something? Or do they need to be written into the mission?
