    I think a new campign with a fresh approach is a good idea, the ArmA one feels beyond repair. Not impressed so far though. I'm after mod tools and a new island please.

    Still occasionally getting the 8007000 error, what are the known causes/fixes for this? Happens when ever something big happens, like I run at some trees under fire, or I try and alt-tab back into game. Specs: AMD Athlon 64 3800+ ~2.4GHz GeForce 7900 GS 512MB 2GB RAM

    Patch 1.08 - Released!

    If you have an NVIDIA card, try lowering the "max frames to render ahead" setting in your video control panel. That can make a significant difference, as far as mouse input lag. Also, try lowering the "floating zone" setting in ArmA, under controls. Hmm, gonna try that.

    Having lots of fun with these. Just found a bug though, the OPFOR HD AT Soldier doesn't have any rifle ammo. Easy enough to fix for me to live with for now though, still loving the pack.

    Using the visual-only effect doesn't cause any screen lag at the blast for me. I'd say it's all the destruction it causes that make the fps-impact. Maybe try it in the sea? If this is the case maybe the destruction of the buildings could be extended over a longer period of time to reduce the load. Possibly from the outer edges and procceed in, that way the buildings that havent been destroyed will be hidden in the smoke Not a bad idea. Also, is it possible to make the mushroom cloud create hard light at night time? I noticed it was glowing but when I shot FFARs near the blast zone, the sea was lit up light blue. Would be cool if the mushroom cloud lit up the area around it while it's bubbling away.

    Bit of a shame to see the community ripping itself apart on the forums before the tools are even released. Try not to jump to conclusions about how people word posts on the internet.

    And how exactly does that prove the Blackhawk's armour hasn't improved since Vietnam? As has already been mentioned, choppers are flying tonnes of sorties every day.

    Oh, I'm sorry did I compare the two? I don't believe I did. My post was solely aimed at the poster who claimed to be a Blackhawk pilot and further claimed that the U.S. Army instructs soldiers not to engage attacking aircraft with small arms. Surely you wouldn't open fire with small arms. You'd get into cover, defalde, hard cover, whatever, and wait for friendly Air or AA assets to deal with the threat. Combined Arms, is what it's all about, using different assets to fill the gaps in your defences. No point pitting infantry against a system designed to easily destroy infantry.

    I think Blue-Flight was actually suggesting a different version with a smaller, perhaps more useable warhead.

    It's under OPFOR. Bloody awesome addon. Looks great at night. Bet this'd scare the shit outta ya half way through a co-op. The enemy suddenly launches an unsuspected volley of tactial nukes at your airbase, and through the 8Km view distance, you see your side go up in a line of flaming white balloons... That'd get your blood going.

    Superb BIS! Thank you so much, just what I expected. Â Choppers now bank around a point lower than the rotor blades. Might just be me, but I seem to have less control of the rudder using the Littlebird than in 1.05. Not certain about that though.
