Yep, I see buildings and ruins, works fine. Scattering the hotel ruin though the Rahamdi village and whacking the fog up during a storm makes for some awesome WW2 style shoot outs. Are there any editors that don't require addons like this one, that add big rocks? -

What does the 256 actually refer to? -
I know mercs wouldn't use it and it's been asked for a billion times, but I'd love to see you have a bash at an SA80. It'd get a hell of a lot of use.

Ah ok, the old JAM HD in OFP was fine. I'll have another look at them. See if anyone else has something to say too.

I think people take respawn for granted and put an unrealistic amount of enemy in no respawn co-ops. It only needs a few AI, those guys can, as the above poster quite rightly said, perforate your left eye at full sprint. Also, try using Skavan's HD enemy. You'll find that you get whacked in the eye less, and get pinned more, meaning you need to help each other out. Plus they use ricochet sounds that really let you know you're being peppered at.

Wow, that's a lot of misinformed posts. Gnat's working on his addons, some textures might be placeholders or work in progresses, and he's obviously making progress as we can see from his posts. He'll let you know when they're getting close to being finished. Â

The player behaves like sniper if he behaves like sniper. I see what you're getting at about not having the same awareness in game, but I doubt there would be many situations in real life where you could tell where a sniper shot from, other than basic compass points. And just because BIS omitted realistic aspects of rocket launchers, I don't see why they should add tracers to sniper rifles. Especially heavy duty rifles like the M107.

My current problem with ArmA isn't the lack of community made British units. I'd happily play with stock ArmA units if that's all that was possible. What I want are new comunity built islands without having to hack them together with sticky tape. Sahrani is extremely detailed and high quality, but the terrain model is extremely limiting for mission designers. Â Â Too many steep hills and forests to do large scale engagements and manouvers. The only decent place I've found so far is the plateau west of Pita and north of Everon.

I thought Lifeless was a bit boring, but I'm Gonna Fly was funky as hell! Reminded me of RATM. There was another song I thought was good too, can't remember the name. Doesn't even sound that much like Seventh, and it has some random riff at the end. -
Very interesting, keep up the effort. Being able to snipe from Blackhawks would make for some interesting co-op missions.

Am I right in thinking BIS has dedicated artist employees that don't work on patches?

I'm guessing the people that work on the core engine, ie those that fix bugs are not the same people that make units and missions. Gotta give the artists something to do while the others are off bug squishing.

Can't wait for the para M249! Skaven, would you possibly be able to make an SA80? My unit's currently replaced the M16 with the FN FAL acting as an SLR, but an SA80 made by you would be awesome. Cheers, Dan
