Haha! I can't believe you just defended the units not having blood textures! They're a nice surprise but the lack of blood textures is quite a blatant bug. I can live with the lack of loadouts.

I still feel 1.11b has been the best version so far. Great performance and great gameplay. The only bad points were issues with non-dedi hosting and the fact everyone was scattered between 1.08 and 1.12b.

Think my viewdistance has improved too, definately havn't really noticed any slow down. I agree. So why are they changing the FOV if no one complained about it?

one more time, for fov problem use addons. i don't see the problem here. speak to us about performance problem. with numbers for proofs  laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh. Why should we have to use a community fix for something that used to work?

Absolutely agree. I don't remember the field of view ever cropping up as a problem prior to 1.12. Why did BIS change it? Who said the new one looked better?

Just tried playing warfare on Schmalfelden. Seemed like a cool concept, got a few kills, bit like the old days. Unfortunately the changes to the FOV and aiming makes is really frustrating. Now that i've played on a server with crosshairs enabled, i've also noticed my crosshair eratically jumping from side to side when I move it. This hasn't happened on any other versions. The term "Don't fix what isn't broke" springs to mind... I've been perfectly happy with all the other versions so far, some more so than others, in the past I havn't had to change much besides the floating zone (think I have it said just below the mid point). So if anyone has any tips on how I can get infantry settings back to how they were before 1.12/1.14, it would be much appreciated by myself and a few other clan mates.

Just because they're big Hehe, I wasn't implying they look out of proportion! Just saying I didn't expect to have much Viper left to land. Â It also has a lot of issues targetting fixed wing, had quite a few dummy runs on it before it twitched towards me. And when it does fire, the splash damage is too low to do any noticable damage. Although I expect all this is just down to config values. Yep!

Install straight from 1.08 to 1.14, so use your original shortcut. You can delete/uninstall 1.12 or any other beta folders and shortcuts if you wish.

Ah, I take that back. Although it does seem to have trouble engaging or perhaps take too long unless you sit right under its nose. Also, just buzzing around in the AH-1, I can take multiple hits and still land ok. And those missiles look pretty big to me.

Havn't managed to get it to shoot anything down or kill anything myself. Good model and textures though!

Yeah, it's better than 1.12, but it's still too zoomed in. I really don't see the need when we A) Already have reduced peripheral vision. B) Have an option to zoom in further via the RMB by default. So any pointers on how I can back it out a little?

Glad a final patch has been released, means things can move forward together again. Could someone point me in the right direction for getting anything similar to the 1.11 Field of View back?

I have to set my desktop settings to record only "stereo mix" if I just want in-game sounds. Cheers -snafu-!

Mah mate, the choppers in ArmA now have a much better grasp of the laws of physics, so i'm afraid you're going to have to get used to it. It's worth it though, once you get good at flying in ArmA it's much more fun than OFP. About tanks, yeah, they do seem very effective at taking down planes. Guess all you can do is try and engage from standoff distance or make sure you get some support on the ground.

The the HDR will take care of that! I've asked this before, but is it possible for HDR to be disabled for certain units in game? Or at least have a material on screen so that the sun glare isn't present?

The C130 would be fun to jump out of too... But yeah, sounds great! The Hawk will make a great trainer, keep it up.

Fully agree, having the enemies shouting adds heaps of immersion, and these units are fully deserving of such a feature.
