Do you consider those addons to be too unrealistic that they could not exist? They're no uber-weapons of extreme power of destruction so as to be considered 'fantastic', IMHO... Edit: especially since their armament are RL weapons...

Ya, this is FIA's perfect helicopter! FIA has got MARVs, now this... all it needs now is an updated (heavier armament) Bond-plane from Martin, and some really crazy tank (maybe something as low-slung as the S-tank but with a crazy turret on).

it would be a self defence force. most countries have them. and no one "owns" the island it is a free state with close ties or pre1982 was a puppet country. Well, I guess Sebastian Müller's MARVs fit the picture... as well as Martin's Resistance(FIA) Bond-plane... maybe some more "homemade" defense stuff too... in terms of light stuff at least... (check http://www.flashpoint1985.com/cgi-bin....t=39443 for a nice helo... the makers of it are in the right spirit for making completely new stuff that nevertheless would fit perfectly into the "self-made" defense force hardware the FIA should have, IMHO.

Well, US APCs are less varied, but to oppose soviet APCs, well, don't forget about all them APCs from the european armies... heck, there there existed way more APCs than those from NATO and the Eastern Block countries!!!

The problem is, that you don't have that big islands in OFP. And flying over a whole island in 4 secends isn't that much fun. I do agree with the "speed limitation". So it would be much better to use in-game. Mfg MEDICUS Â Ever played on PMC's 25km Europe map? It REALLY takes more than 5 secs to fly from one end to the other... Also, if a plane has tremendous speed, but it isn't represented that way, how realistic does the addon end up being? In terms of MP, having to shoot down one of those planes flying at over 1000 km/h close to the ground with the shoulder-launched IR missile...

Well I actually DO care if it can carry vehicles because you already have lots of boats that can carry units only... Ah, and make it carry something with more firepower than the Jeep's MG... I only wish someone would make a script or modify BAS's so that ships & large planes could carry heavy armored vehicles like MBTs...

I just made a lite alpha mission for the Beta and I must say... Â Â Â Â It's BEAUTIFUL!! Very easy to set up, select target, initial direction, nap-of-earth flight starting point, select warhead and off it goes!!! The functional Nose & Satellite Cams are absolutely beautiful!!! Both cams show full data range on missile position, speed, altitude, next waypoint, warhead status and systems status, absolutely great!! Once again, thanks to wizzywig for letting me make a mission to beta-test it!!

Besides, OFP 2 is supposed to be retro-compatible... Â Â So don't give up on this yet!!!

You know, I had already asked the Mapfact team to do some, and had even thought that someone should simply convert something existing, if doing it from scratch would be too arduous... Try to guess which Game this one is? Now THIS is a game which doesn't even need something like that, yet still that exists... OFP is in DIRE NEED of aircraft servicing vehicles!!

Is THAT an Oliver Hazard Perry class frigate? Â Â Me WANTS ZHAT!!! So far, there have been few large ships, the LSD being the best large ship IMHO since it's got a very complete set of interiors to walk through... most unfortunately, not every part of the landing deck is useable for walking or landing with choppers, and I woulnd't even try using Colonel Klink's Harrier... speaking of him, he's also made those great working submarines (for all those who thought that the OFP engine was limited, I can hardly find better proof against that). Well, carriers have their use because they provide a place to land and take-off from, even for islands that don't have an airport or airstrip. The downside of it is, you gonna learn just how hard it is to land on one of those things - no matter what, there's no simple autopilot... (and don't try to land on the Tarawa either, only the middle section is steady ground!!!). One thing that I also expected that would be greatly improved has been lying dead in the drydock... no one has developed any functional vehicle-carrying ship!!! I mean, air-lifting isn't a problem thanks to BAS and others, but what about ship transport?? Someone made a Zubr once but it wasn't good enough to handle vehicular transport. BRSSEB has pictures on his site from something looking like a functional vehicle-carrying ship, but that hasn't been neither perfected nor seen the daylight for perfectioning of anybody who could invest some more time into it... I mean, we all know just how fast a BMP, BMD, BTR-70/80, BRDM, M113 or AAV-7 traverse water... "Go to the other shore whilst I take a nap" Â Â Plus, the Bradley and all of the Tanks (with exception to the PT-76 or any other specific gators) aren't even amphib-capable... Imagine you have islands which are connected by bridges... all you need is to destroy them and the other piece of land is sealed off from serious armored reinforcements... SOMEONE IMPROVE THE ZUBR AND MAKE A FUNCTIONAL LCAC PLEASE!!! (Edit: I almost forgot that the first completely non-functional large ship came from none other than BIS, and a LANDING SHIP TANK AT THAT!!! WHAT A WASTE!!! THEY SHOULD HAVE MADE IT FUNCTIONAL!!! Why not that much speed? It isn't unrealistic - hardly reaches Mach 1 - and many planes with afterburner are "limited" to speeds of a little over 1000 km / h... they're cool!!!

Like life vests for pilots? I hate do die every time I eject over water. I wish I had a life vest and a Pavehawk coming to pick me up every single time it happens... Â As a soviet pilot??? j/k

Kinda reminds me of old tech computing: a process is pretty fast reaching 90 %, but then it takes forever to come to 100 %... better yet, when it reaches 100 % it's still not complete... let's just hope it fulfills our expectations...

Hehehe... first OFP I bought was the Gold edition... then the GOTY... but since I was missing something, I picked up Resistance... IN PRAGUE!!! (Czech version and everything!). I wonder if the OFP Special edition could be found anywhere?? You know, the one with the special casing and droolicious goodies...
