Oh just not that. Anything but that. That FM is worse that ArmAs one. Comparing the criticisms garnered and taking into account the "jack-of-all-trades"-nature of both games, I think the majority would agree that as it stands, OFP's FM is better than ArmA. But, just to please you, I wouldn't mind having a choice between the two, as long as the OFP FM is present...

Instead of suggesting individual tweaks to the flight model, I'd like to suggest to BIS to DUMP the entire ArmA FM and replace it with OFP's flight model which garners about almost no complaints when compared to the current flight model, and I mean that both for planes as well as for helicopters...

There are two interesting russian space games, one is Tarr Chronicles, which seems to have an english release, and Tomorrow War, which is awaiting a conversion to english... But yeah, IMHO there still hasn't come anything out that would best Freespace 2

For the first time in 30 years the Dakar Rally was cancelled by the main organisation ASO after being warned by the french government about threats made to the rally and the organisation not being able to assure the safety of the participants... Even proposals to bypass Mauritania and doing more stages in Morocco were refused by ASO, the rally being postponed until next year, where the organisation hopes things will be better... I just wonder how, are they going to send the French Foreign Legion to provide safety?

I don't think anybody is really demanding MSFS-type flying in ArmA (well, maybe they do, but one has to be able to accept compromise since ArmA is a jack-of-all-trades-game) but the problem is, in OFP there already was a flight model that I think didn't garner as many complaints as the ArmA FM has garnered so far... Heck, if I'd be given a choice between a never-going-to-be-fixed ArmA flight model and OFP's FM, I'd take OFP's any day...

My GOTY is also 3 CD's, think it's the fairly normal GOTY edition with 3 discs, one green, one yellow and one red, the red being the 3rd one, if you put that into an audio CD player you should be able to play some music (dunno if you have to start with track nr 2 but could be, same as many game discs up to 1996 (Half-Life, Battlezone, Interstate'76, Driver, Quake 2 and Heavy Gear are examples of game CDs whose audio is playable from the CD, starting from track nr 2 onwards) .

Any hopes for the FM to be fixed in the final version of the 1.09 patch (or whatever the last/latest patch is supposed to be called) ?

Hi there! I'm in anticipation over getting a 24in TFT Monitor whose native resolution is 1920 x 1200 and I wanted to know if it's in any way possible to put OFP in said resolution as well... I've searched around a bit but haven't found anything yet...

I agree, Lee! And nothing better would go with it and along with the santa pack than these(for OFP)... Snowboard for OFP on OFP.info Ski-doom Sled for OFP on OFP.info And there was an addon of some skiis but I can't seem to find it on OFP.info, I'll post a pic if noone else can discover it if I find it at home...

Just a short question, I'm wondering if there is any addon that allows me to place in the mission editor CWC Trees and Brushes etc, without having to make a new or edit an island, was there any such addon? Haven't found any on OFP.info...

I've got OFP GOTY but I was in need of some CWC greenery stuff because I have to get another island devoid of greenerys (Shorty87's old Stunt Island, if anybody remembers it) to make it a bit more cosy, vegetation-wise, to match it up with some scenery I've used from Kolguyev for a machinima...

Might be a double-ended sword, since many addons for ArmA are conversions for things that were made for OFP, not much "NEW" has come out, and if BIS won't the tools to create new addons practically from the start on, I could see even more addonmakers not wanting to wait any longer and giving up on making addons for this series of games... Because as we all know this series of games lives and feeds off community-made addons (it's a pity but that's just how it's always been since OFP, BIS... ) Edit: And might as well add another huge thanks to all those that still continue to make addons and support OFP in general!
