well i still think it is broken, you can't reload while walking slowly, there's allwys this random extra step making PvP a joke except you're just camping, ctf and dm allrdy died out coz of it. you can't become better or faster with a random bug. ofp was about gameplay. i'm sure everyone of you defending the anim were the one defending the gameplay in ofp while saying gfx doesn't matter. even battlefield2 ironed out most of their anim bugs like bunny hoping, C4 jump 'n bomb etc. in every patch there was a changement to the better one. BIS doesn't even left 1 comment nor they touched the anim so far except this ladder think ? i can't remember going as far as xxbbcc with it, its more like random 0.1m - 1.0m, but that's enought to stop alota ppl's fun.

in ofp it was mostly cti and ctf which attracted those wannabe scripters, but this shield got lost for the coop players, have fun with them -
there's is nothing to discuse anymore, because we know BIS hasn't any further future plans for "their" ctf community, they actually never had, propably they thought get rid of them, so we get rid of cheaters and as ARMA2 seems to be only an updated ARMA1, its obvious that it will not change anythink. CTF is dead, so is DM, CTI, C&H, actually ever PvP Mod as their is no competion. Just imaging Killjoy would not have made Evo, this game would be dead by now. So i think there is no need for any kind of discussion, as all former know CTF Players and Clans left a long time ago and they want come back. All you'll find are AI Killers around here which rather obey virtual orders instead of facing the real competion.

they not gonna say anythink as it isn't their direction of game. as we could see, not even arma2 i gonna use another anim system nor do they plan to have ctf's or dm in the game like stated by maruk @ GC: Less is sometimes more "In ArmA 2 we mainly concentrate on 2 game modes, not on game mode number like in the previous games," replied BI chief on question about multi-player. Bohemia Interactive is trying to port as much goals/missions from single-player to multi-player as possible. The most important information is, that the game progress, including all changes in game world would save, so you could continue later. This upgrades the most popular ArmA mission Evolution. instead of fixing all CTF problems, they're not gonna support it at all as it seems, well at least they're honest this time, so i can move on to another game for some real challenge and buy arma2 if i wanna see my homecountry....

All i see is ArmA with some new content, i don't see any next gen like i'm used to with crysis, bioshock, etc. DX10 should also look better, shouldn't it ? I even think my ArmA 1 is looking better right now then those screens. the colorsheme is still not right, same boring sky & water. i even can feel the anim's not responding. good think is that they are working on it instead of keep patching ArmA 1, as i personaly don't see any future for it, there are so much bugs for "my taste", that it's better they go on and do it right this time, even doh the screens don't speek for it, but we all know that it meigt look totaly different within 1 year. i hope BIS is gonna get back to ofp 1.0 and rethink what it was, that magic around it. i don't need a 650km2 island, 50kg bearer feeling, anim's doing what they wanna do, laser tracers, realistic plastic sound, overdosed gfx not suitable for any setup, no real vista, dualcore, sli & AGEIA PhysX support, go for quad em all !!!, place RPG elements as an additional option, let BIA do the sim, make a GAME(2). console is ok, the us marked will love it. don't surprise us, surprise yourself. ArmA2, 08 o'clock, thx for the news and keep em coming...

those issuses have been adressed several times in the last 10 months, unfortunately without any comments by the Dev's, so don't hope for change. Take it as a fact, as it is the same reason why most of the dm/ctf died out alrdy. -

I just opened the arma browser, but there wasn't even 1 ctf or dm. i think that's pretty sad after allmost 10 months of arma and the only one who could change it or at least inform us would be Maruk, but he didn't left one word on this issue. so i'm pretty sure he doesn't care about the so called "pvp comunity". Those facts have allrdy answered the topic question for me. The features of Queens Gambit are out and they don't show any progress on this problem. Instead of making an anticheat system, they just made PvP so annoying that no one is playing it, its also a way to do the job. There was a time where we all said, we don't care about grafics, its the gameplay that made ofp surviving 6 years. but this isn't ofp, this is arma, whatever this is supposed to be. PS @ofpforum, please spare me with a comment of yours...thx -

that's how i understood it too, as a joke, coz you were flaiming coop players, which are now 90% of the "current" playerpot and if you count the ai's too, we're at 99%. Suma said somewhere, that they will portait war as it is, usually annoying, mission accomplished so far. but anyway, they allrdy said that this Queen Expansion will be delivered with 1.08, so there wan't be any new anims and they annouced today some new BIS Project. if it is really new, than it isnt Game2, as this project is 4 years old ? that leads to another game or just a mispelling, either way, i guess there are no big future plans for ArmA beside some islands and retexture here and there. -

Of caurse it’s BIS fault, who else made those anims and why the discussion about bug or not, its obviously a bug like everyone who played other FPS game can confirm. Such anims you meight find only in RPG Games like Oblivion, even there they are more responsive, even doh it doesn’t really matter in a RPG Game. The question about this has much more importance than it seems, because if they don’t change it, there isn’t gonna be a future for PvP gameplay like dm & ctf, which were the most frequented gamemod’s back in OFP, BIS is gonna loose about 70% of their future customer, which is gonna affect everyone of you. -
Maruk wrote somewhere, that there is also another problem with the 8800 series, some VRAM problems and that the best card is the 7950GT 512 for ArmA, but this serie will be totaly outdated at the end of this year, because DX10 and and propably Duo/QuadCore Support is gonna come up with most next gen. games.

seems like they working on the Queen´s Gambit Expension and the Editing Tool at allmost full capacity, just imaging an impact like Resistance had some years ago. the remaining bugs aren't that important, as they don't really destroy the gameplay. i would like to see the whole anim system changed to somethink more fluently and fast (flashpoint), to awaken the cqb comunity, but i know that i can dream on by now...

i got some solutions for the 8800GTX which helped me to get rid of most problems: download latest beta drivers: http://www.nzone.com/object/nzone_downloads_rel70betadriver.html set prerender limit to 1 (connceted with vsync) solution for mouselag !! i did it with nHancer get ntune (google it) and overclock the bitch, search the net for stable oc results. with this tool you can also overclock the cpu. add maxmem as ArmA doesnt like more then 512Mb on cards, you got 640, not sure doh, but seems to work better for me, less crashes. ending should look like this: ArmA\arma.exe" -nosplash -maxmem=512 -world=empty in big maps i need to have high texture and object settings, on normal or lower i have texture errors. good luck...

yeah, Mora2, you're totally right there, those slow anims are reminding me of games like Oblivion and yesterday i started another RPG Game called 2 Worlds. The anim's are pretty much the same system, while there are alota thinks totaly buged like while you stoped your character keeps moving sometimes, sometimes not, depends on your last steps or you're totaly exhausted after a 10m run. While they added annoying anim feature they kept the old ofp bugs like no reload while moving. using this freemoving gun which seperates the anim's turn from the aiming and switching to scope will end up in aiming somewhere else etc. etc. i alrdy feel some RPG experiments for GAME2 in here, where the moves dont matter. BTW. Coopers dont profit from it, i play alota Evolution with the same disturbing bugs, no one profits of bugs
