  1. Greetings All,

New to ArmA and love it.  What a fantastic game.

I have a question.  I have created a few simple missions that a few friends and I play.  I act as the host.  I am not using the dedicated ArmA server.  I noticed that the default ViewDistance of ~1200m is used while hosting a MP game (My setting of 3500m works perfect in SP games).

Is there anyway to change the ViewDistance default setting during a MP game? (ArmA user profile? description.ext")

    Thanks

  2. Greetings,

I had a very simliar situation, but I caused it. I had messed with my nVidia "Manage 3D Profiles" for the game, and it caused a few games to act wierd. ArmA was one of them, and it would not start. I found that when I uninstalled my video drivers, and reinstalled them the profiles were set back to their defaults. Teaches me not to mess with stuff wink_o.gif

  4. Let me know what you find.

btw: A few of use are going to play today around 1pm PST. One got a new joystick and we are going to mess around with flying the helicopters better. If you are interested, and want assistance troubleshooting your flashing issue, find us on Teamspeak at digitalthemepark.servegame.com

  5. Greetings,

I had the same issue.  Flashing white screen (enough to give you a headache real quick), screen goes to black, or textures change to a very dark with light details.  Looking away from the sun would clear it up until you looked again towards the sun.

I found that this only occured while in SLI mode.  Staying in single GPU mode worked.  Of course, I wanted to try it in SLI mode.  I found, today, that when I enable SLI, I need to enable vertical sync.  The problem went away on my system (2 - 8800GTX)
