    FFUR'85 (2008 edition)

    I really like this mod, I can see you've captured the feeling of the original game. The only bug I've noticed is sometimes while looking around (as in right-clicked, zoomed in) stuff will sometimes disappear (buildings etc.) Another excellent effort though, so much work must have gone into this mod it's unbelievable.

    Haha, just playing the 'Clean Sweep' mission with your mod, and had to step back and watch as my guys took position in a house before moving through, checking the rooms, and emerging carefully out the other side. Unfortunately, 2 was gunned down as he walked out of the door, poor chap. Always look both ways before crossing the road, lol. Absolutely excellent mod Oh and nice to see you've fixed the riot policeman, thanks for that.

    I second Zuku1 on the ammo drops... or at least more mags for each soldier (if this is possible). Half way through a mission it seems every guy in the squad is out of ammo! On this note, can somebody kindly explain to me how the suppressive fire works in this mod? Is it something the AI will do of their own accord? What affect does suppressive fire have on you/the ai? By the way, I must say... this mod is excellent

    I've had this mod for a while but only properly checked it out today, and I'm blown away. Love the sounds, and the AI. Is it worth installing the extra pack?

    FFUR-SLX 2007 2.0

    I'll ask this here because it seems pointless to make a new thread. Is it possible to use the bullet casings from another mod (such as ECP) in FFUR-SLX 07? I've played around with the config but when I run the game it can't find the models, do I need to copy an addon over to the FFUR mod folder? Oh, and I should say, I love the idea of setting up an MG position. One thing the original game was missing was a way to dig in and prepare for imminent enemy contact. Really looking forward to FFUR '85!

    Looking good, and I agree, nice looking iron sights greatly enhance gameplay experience. In other news, I'm still having trouble with the bullet casings. Is there a way I can incorporate the spent bullet casings from ECP mod into FFUR-SLX 2007?

    Apologies if this has already been answered, how do I get the bullet shells/cartridges/casings to stay on the ground after they've ejected from the chamber? At the moment they vanish after hitting the ground. Thanks.
  13. I use FFUR-SLX quite a bit and haven't noticed much difference in the terrain. Perhaps I'm just not attentive enough! Downloading your islands currently, those screenshots convinced me. I especially like the third one for some reason... the layout and everything just seems 'right' if you know what I mean. Good job =]
  14. These look really nice. Do you know of any island replacements that improve the terrain to make it look more realistic, like ARMA style grass and things? I will be downloading these though, I always thought OFP's towns seemed far too empty

    Looks nice, downloading now. One small question, is the suppressive fire feature where you automatically go prone when under fire? Or is it something else?

    I really like the artillery system (it enhances gameplay significantly) but not too keen on the voices, is there a way to change the voices to ones I've recorded myself without altering the entire artillery system. Would I be able to somehow view the files in ffur_arty.pbo and just change the wav files?

    Sorry if this has been addressed before, but what's with the 'FFUR-SLX 2007 2.0 OFP Replacement Pack'... do I need to download this elsewhere or is it included, or is it just outdated now? Or is it just another name for the mod? I feel thick.

    Could somebody host the Hotfix 2.01? Neither the filefront or the njmatrix mirrors seem to work anymore. Or tell me how to do the '-mod=@ffsx2007' thing? EDIT : Nevermind, I figured it. Brilliant mod.

    Hardware Issues: Tips/Tricks/Solutions

    How do you know if Direct X is installed on your system and if so can you check the version? I can't run the ARMA demo becuase i get the 'Can't find d3dx9_30.dll' error, yet I've downloaded the latest version of direct X (sort of). I say sort of because after one installation it said something about downloading 'optional components' like the SDK October 2005 update but it fails to do so, then after another installation it said the components were working (after installing nothing) and ready to use, yet the game still won't run. EDIT: Nevermind, I've got the DirectX bit sorted, but now its telling me I don't have a Pixel Shader or something. Forget it, I thought my (very) low spec PC would be able to just about cope, but I can't even get the game started
