Libyan Air-force ordered to bomb protesters

Show me a credible source that claims the thread title's a lie. It may have passed me by, but I don't think the two pilots who defected have come out and said they lied yet. So the Americans aren't capitalists?

Libyan Air-force ordered to bomb protesters

No, I have a problem with openly lying, and I called you on it based on first-hand experience. I actually live in the city where the news station is based and have a friend who's father works there, supporting my opinion of the station. Heck, I've dealt with Al Jazeera a few times in the past personally. What do you have? A couple of unsupported claims and accusations found somewhere on the internet, I'm sure, like the rest of what you're posting. If there's one thing that irks me most, it's conspiracy theorists who blatantly lie but go unchallenged because no one has experience that goes against what they say.

Name me a news station or website in the world that isn't slanted one way or the other. You can't. They are all slanted, you just have to take what each says and evaluate the degree to which what's being said is slanted before drawing to your own conclusions. It's a part of life these days.

Take your head out of your ass. I live in the country that Al Jazeera was both created and is run from - Qatar, and I have been here for over 11 years now. Hell, my friend's Dad works there. I never thought I would have to say this in my life, but Al Jazeera are about as far from "British intelligence" as you can get. Stop spreading your ridiculous conspiracy theories. That stuff should be isolated to the many websites devoted to it, which will be revealed if you perform a quick Google search.
  7. It shall remain clientside because many people suffer from motion sickness, which can quite easily be brought on by the headbobbing in the game, and especially if you combine it with the post process effects. ;) Never did I think it would be classified as cheating in MP to play with it enable or disabled, though... Surely the advantage or disadvantage the player has as a result is ridiculously minimal, and I'm not speaking from a lack of PvP MP experience either, quite the contrary.

The ISAF was established by the UN Security Council in 2001 to secure Kabul and surrounding areas, of which control was handed over to NATO in 2003. Afghanistan, unlike Iraq, was/is not an 'illegal war'. ;)
  9. I installed it over the previous RC just now without any issues. ;)

Crysis 2 PC Demo [Download link]

http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/108709-Crysis-2-Is-a-PC-Game-First-Console-Game-Second-Claims-Crytek If that was reality then I'd be very saddened if the industry standard for a PC game was Crysis 2.

Crysis 2 PC Demo [Download link]

I quite like the game, both the single player and multiplayer, both significantly improved over Crysis' in my opinion. However, I refrain from buying obvious console ports as much as possible, especially when developers like Treyarch (Black Ops. Still no mod tools, still no performance fixes.) and now, unfortunately, Crytek, outright lie about them to sucker you into buying it. It's unethical, and I will not support it. Crysis 2 on the PC just wreaks of laziness, with them keeping the Press Start/Enter screen, a lackluster server browser and, the biggest issue of all - ridiculously scaled-back graphics options. It's not a PC game designed to work on consoles anymore, it's a console game lazily ported to the PC.

    Zipper5's Missions

Hi all, The follow up to my campaign Operation Cobalt released last year, Blood On The Sand, is nearing completion. Unlike Cobalt before it, I'm hoping to have BOTS fully voice acted. Preferably I'd want to have people speaking the actual languages of the characters, which are Czech mainly American-accented English, but I also need someone who can speak English with an Arabic, or similar, accent. However, if it proves too difficult to get specific language speakers, I'll take whatever I can get. :D Unfilled: - James Stephen - Main character, Chernarussian (speaks Czech) - Jan Brazda - Czech squad leader character - Richard Stephen - James' father, Chernarussian - "Headquarters" - At least one Czech, and one American - James Stephen's squad leader - Chernarussian - Generic CDF infantry - Generic Czech SF soldier - Chris Peterson's two squad members - Generic American medic - Generic Takistani civilians & guerrillas - Persian/Arabic, speaks "broken English" Filled: - Chris Peterson - American Delta Force character - Colonel Aziz - Main antagonist, Persian/Arabic, speaks English If you're interested in any role, send me a PM or post here with the role(s) you wish to play and I'll get back to you ASAP. Please do send applications even if you don't speak the preferred language of the character so long as you can speak English. Obviously, you will all be properly credited in the campaign credits. :) Thanks guys!

Crysis 2 PC Demo [Download link]

Well, the game is out now, and it is exactly the console port tripe everyone was afraid of, including myself. It also has no modding support what so ever. I get the feeling this is more EA's doing than Crytek's, but who really knows outside of their inner circles... It is funny, however, that in all of the threads bitching about how Crysis 2 isn't a true PC game like they said it would be, people point out Arma 2 as an alternative. :D

    Team Shadow - Sniper Campaign

I do hope you consider it, because I am actually quite intrigued by such a campaign premise. It sounds like there are some real opportunities for rather unique gameplay when it comes to Arma 2 here. :)
  18. Given how there's been beta patches since the release of this RC, there should be no problems with patching in the future if you install it, as the version numbers will have changed. If you want to uninstall it, however, I recommend you back up your entire Arma 2 installation folder before installing it, that way you don't have to re-download/install the entire game again. No final patch has been released yet, so when it is released, your copy should be updated with no problems.

ARMA 2: OA beta build 79321

My notebook was also a high-end one for playing ArmA, but the bottom of it would get ridiculously hot playing it. I had to elevate it so that it got better air flow and the heat could dissipate. It still overheated at least 3 times, and eventually just became an overly expensive paperweight. These games just put too much of a strain on notebooks. :p

ARMA 2: OA beta build 79321

English only, please. From what I can gather about your problem, it sounds like your notebook is overheating as you play, resulting in the performance to drop. That happened with my old notebook many times, killing it at least 3 times, with ArmA 1. Notebooks are terrible for playing these games, and there's not much BIS can do to fix that. Go for a desktop. ;)

    ARMA 2, version 1.09 - Patch Released

I didn't recommend you to stop drinking, I recommended you not post while drunk. How many developers do you know of who release multiple new, subsequent products and still bring out patches for previous titles? In this day and age it's impressive alone that BIS are still patching Arma 2 when OA, BAF and PMC are out and also being patched.

wipman, please refrain from posting while drunk. For your own sake.
  24. Everyone judges and ridicules Arma 2 on its stock AI, but we're supposed to judge DR's AI only after it has been modded? :p I've never tried any mods for DR, I'm sure the same goes for many of those here who played it. The game sucked in its vanilla state, something it doesn't share with Arma 2, and that's at least how I judge it, just like I judge Arma 2. In fact, I play vanilla Arma 2 much more than modded, although that is largely because most of my time is spent mission making and testing these days.
