Wait, so then they would have to model ALL of the eastern side of the world? Lol.

4 player system link coop. 32 player cap on PCs. I think one kinda cancels out the other, wouldn't you agree? ;)
-
Probably much like how Avgani, Navada, etc. deal with it in ArmA. Just long, repeating empty terrain.
-
If, and that's a big "if", you can overlook ACE's issues. ;)

Wouldn't recommend double posting. ;) Really, ArmA was worth reinstalling when v1.09b came out. I've loved it ever since. With v1.16b, the majority of the game-breaking fixes have been ironed out, and it's close to how ArmA should have been at release. So yes, I'd recommend reinstalling it again. And I played OFP since 2001 and ArmA since the Czech release. To be honest, I noticed the issues in ArmA because people were pointing them out, but I've always enjoyed it. It's simply gotten better as time progresses, much like OFP.

That 343guiltysaprk fellow really makes me chuckle. It's a shame that he's banned. I simply love his reply to that member of the "Heroes" group: "here come the pretend moderators" :D That forum actually has an almost scary environment. People forming these e-cults and calling up people to make stands for changes... It's like a political rally, over a game. :butbut:

Haven't we already kinda established that that was the purpose of that video? I mean, it's pretty obvious, lol. There's no "maybe", it simply was. And it was a great advertisement at that. :D

The funniest thing about the whole incident that it's been up there for multiple days now, multiple threads have been created on their forums about it, and still, not a single person from the CM team has upfront denied what is being said. There's one thread on the DR forums where Viiper seems like he's denying it, but if he is, he certainly beads around the bush a lot. Not once in there does it say it's completely false. Thought the incident itself doesn't really surprise me in the slightest. :p

I love finally being able to see how Arma 2 performs on a rig that can run it at the higher-end of settings. It looks fantastic. And, thankfully, it would appear that my specs will run Arma 2 the same way, if not better due to optimizations made between the pre-release and retail release. TrackIR has always looked like an awesome thing to me, the only issue is the expense and where I live. NaturalPoint don't ship to Qatar, so I have to send it through shop&ship which adds about $20 to $30 onto the price. So in the end, it becomes very expensive. But I loved watching that video and seeing just how good TrackIR 5 is, and how good it is in Arma 2. Thanks Dslyecxi.

Sadly, I think it's going to be the 1st until I see Dslyecxi's video at this rate and being in this time zone. Ah well, I'm sure it'll be worth the wait. :D -

Usually reviews come out once the game has been released to the public. -
Strange, because it has been out for a while. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfvn8_gM1os

That's a fairly old video, Balschoiw. And, sadly, a fairly disappointing one at that.

Every game that is released doesn't have to be ground breaking. Arma 2 might not even be ground breaking, and DR might be the same. What matters is if they're good games. They're building on the success of the original OFP, making the experience better, adding things and refining it. Just because it doesn't shake things up as much as OFP did doesn't make them a bad game. And ArmA was a bit annoying at the start, but now it's a very good game.

It's currently 1:02AM in the US. Give him some time, lol. The more I think about it the more I think it's a TrackIR 5 reveal. I thought that logo at the end was a shortened 505 Games logo, but it's actually the TrackIR logo with the number 5. Oh well. -
Hopefully, no he won't and you two will have a nice vacation from here upon which we can discuss things without constant trolling.

Wow, Dslyecxi, you make some goddamn awesome trailers my friend. Can't wait to see what's released today. I'll have something to do over the weekend methinks. :D -
By thread do you mean post? As in this post on the page before this one?
-
Video's already in the thread on the first page there, Walker. :p

HiFi Novus Aevum - modular sound conversion
Zipper5 replied to Mark XIII (DayZ)'s topic in ARMA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Yup, Mark's already fixed it. Amongst other issues. Looking forward to the update, Mark. Awesome sound mod. :) -
You'll kinda need the actual game there, Cazzah. :p

I suppose you could say they're the extreme right and left, in terms of politics. Just in the case of DR and ArmA II. :D
-
Hells yeah! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s3IqMqtitMQ&fmt=18 I love that tune. :D
-
It's like how people refer to DR as Dragon Rice. DReck.

Y'know, I'm going to laugh at you if DR comes out and it's exactly like those games. How can you say they cannot even be compared to DR? You've not played the game. I'm surprised that, if you've played those other games, that you'd make such a statement. I've played them too, and the footage of DR so far looks exactly like them. Especially in the run-and-gun aspect due to the first person perspective we've been shown. I've not seen anything to make it stand out as a realistic military simulator so far than the title "Operation Flashpoint." And no, I'm not a hater. I would love for DR to be as realistic as Codemasters are saying it will be, as I don't want to see a name with such significance behind it be tossed into the trash.
