Yes, it's much bigger. I think Codemasters are deliberately leaving off parts of what they're saying because it sounds better. "You've never seen before" sounds better than "You've never seen before on consoles". Thus, the bullshit production-line is set to overload. Edit: Lol, "Visual effects are really important in Operation Flashpoint" Of course, because OFP had such great ones. Codemasters seem to have no idea what made OFP great.

Unfortunately, that's way below minimum spec. And if it's integrated, then... You won't be able to run it acceptably with that card, or perhaps even at all.

I require intricate detail! Or a link to somewhere I can listen to it myself. :D

One misconception that almost everyone has made about ArmA II is that there was obviously a huge amount of effort put into the campaign by the designers. If you were to ever look at exactly how they did it all, you'd be quite impressed. It's fairly hefty and complex stuff, with some very impressive scripting and design. Unfortunately, it's the engine's ability to handle it all that lets it down, along with the crappy voice acting...

http://www.game.co.uk/lowdown.aspx?lid=12103 But... You... Can't... Hi -... Ho -... What... Eugh... "Not a shooter for the run-and-gun arcade gamer." "It can be harrowingly real at times." Since he lists those as bad aspects of the game, that review is completely void.
-
Lol, who just writes "I lost the game" anyways? I mean, is he talking about ArmA II or just... Spamming?

I can't believe the poll on their forums has 99 votes being happy with the size limit, and 99 votes saying that they aren't.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?!

I wonder if we'll actually get a balanced review from someone who's a fan of OFP/ArmA/ArmA II of OFPDR. I find that the majority of the current popular review websites/magazines enjoy "accessible" games, like OFPDR. If we were to get one from someone who enjoys the more "hardcore" games, like BIS' games, then perhaps we could see just how much OFPDR actually lives up to the OFP name. These reviewer websites and magazines usually don't seem to have ever played any games other than mainstream ones. If that was ever to happen, my money would be on it not living up to it at all.

If I recall correctly, Clive is now working for Crytek.

I find something quite interesting in today's gaming market. I'll use my brother as an example, who's younger than me. I, of course, play ArmA II. A lot. One day, he and his friends come and ask me "what game is that?" I fill them in on all of the specifics and after that, they ask "what scores did it get?" to which I replied "generally above 65%". You know what their response was? "That's shit. No way I'm touching that game." In a nutshell, I can see my brother and his friends enjoying OFPDR more than ArmA II. And that's not a good thing...

There's a fix to this. Put the following into the initialization line of the soldier performing the animation: this setVariable ["BIS_noCoreConversations", true] And he should stop doing it. Hope that helps. -
Ok, fine, I'm done here. You obviously don't want help and instead want to rant. I'm cool with that. I'll stop wasting my time with you.

It was a serious question, I wasn't trolling. I'd have thought it common place for people living in Australia to be used to game release delays over there due to the censorship laws and such. Didn't mean it in an offensive way at all. Seriously, stop jumping to conclusions already...
-
Aren't you used to that by now, living in Australia and all? Yes, the game has bugs, and they are being fixed quite rapidly by BIS compared to most other developers. But hey, no one's forcing you to play it. Doubt you'll find a game with a greater scope than what ArmA II has to offer you though, so putting up with the issues may wield unexpected benefits for you. Or not. But generally, it has.
-
Well they probably would, but I'm not sure about the legality of it. The language patch though, is legal. I've never had to use it as I have the 505 Games version, so I don't know what it translates and what it doesn't.
-
I don't get your replies. I gave him the link to the easy-to-use-&-install language patch. What more could there be? I'll post the link again for the sake of it: "Language mod for 'fixed' language versions"
-
Jerkiness? What do you mean? The animations? They aren't that bad...
-
I think you need to look up what troll means. I did indeed point him in the right direction and to the only solution he has. I just noticed this. What? Didn't the German version of ArmA have the option to change it to English after a few patches? I believe it did. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember that quite clearly.
-
Seriously, when an English version of the game is released, and the German & Czech versions still exist, why do they need to give all 3 games the same language options? It makes no sense.
-
It takes all of, what, 10 minutes? Everyone else who needs it, does it.
-
Short answer: Yes. Long answer: Yeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssssssssssss. "german to english language"
