Thanks for the swimmming vid Shadak How do the AI react in the water? Do they follow you and your commands? and what happens when you shoot and kill a unit swimming what are the animations like? can you demonstrate this also please?
-
hi Shadak, thanks for taking the time to post videos. I would be pleased to see some clips of these things, if you or anyone else has time: The transition of a unit swiming to the beach and then getting up and walking. Maybe a clip of the zodiac boats in action. A close up of that huge bridge being blown up (if its possible)- with satchel charges and/or LGB's. Can you alter the weather too? to show it raining? many thanks.

I enjoyed watching those vids of the airstrike and artillery. However I am a bit concerned with what I saw regards the artillery, Â (ex artilleryman ) The blast radius of those shells falling on the road next to the patrolling units was too short, it needs to be much bigger IMO, Â those american units would of been cut to ribbons (artillere 5 clip) or at least caught some of the flying shrapnel, considering how close they were to the impact...

you know what would be great? is if someone who has the game, could possibly take screen shots of every playable unit in ArmA. Sure its a big undertaking, especially as they probabaly just wanna play the game themselves But im sure a lot of folk without the game would appreciate them doing that! Â

Hi, just a few things that spring to mind, Im quite interested to know about the boats, single units and groups swimming in the game. Any more impressions of them and potentials there would be great. Could an  AI unit be made to swim out to a boat and told to  'get in'? and vice versa. What happens when u bail out over water? etc Also we have seen some squared canopy parachute rigs and also the normal round ones in recent vids, are they steerable at all? are they both different in that respect? oh and enjoy yourself you lucky swine!  edit: almost forgot: how well does AI, use the crew mounted HMG on tanks.

Anything with the ArmA logo would be great: base ball cap t shirt - xl please! some czech bottled beer mouse mat sound track on cd map/poster coffee mug or beer glass

Modern day conflicts throughout the world these days are turning into ever more complex situations for armies and peace keepers to keep in check and manage. I would actually like to see any future game to provide the possibility to provide another faction or side. Perhaps call them North, East, South and West aswell as a civillian and resistance side for each one. Map makers with the help of the mod teams could create some very interesting missions indeed!

ThruYerStErNuM thanks for sharing your information with everyone here, it is much appreciated Â

One of the most usefull facilities I first found with OFP was the ability to transfer weapons to a vehicle for storage of for transportation. I would like to see this function 'tweaked' so that it is easier and quicker to do. Perhaps in the menu screen an option will appear to inspect the vehicles cargo, a screen will appear and its just a case of moving stuff from your inventory to the vehicle inventory, like in a RPG game. This could allow you to transfer individual magazines, binos and NVG etc if there is a need to do it.

I support the idea of a new system for carrying weapons and equipment, paticulary the number of slots and weight combo idea. As for the medic debate ,perhaps having medkits/bandages etc as an item would be better than the current ofp method. Soldiers should be carrying their own shell dressing also (like RL). Perhaps any unit can give or use rudimentry first aid to another by using the shell dressing, and the effect wouldnt last long until a medic arrived on the scene, or was Casevac. But a Medic doing it would be more effective and quicker and the result would be more permanent. So if the medic runs out of kits/bandages, he will have to search for more on the battlefield.

Has any one got any idea how JIP might work for OFP in practice? Hopefully there will be some controls in place to stop people spawning anywhere they like. But will there be single static points on the maps, or/and perhaps a 'dynamic moving spawn point' that could be used for reinforcing other units requesting them somehow? I can imagine how it would be for CTI, but what about co-op and TDM?

We havent seen much of the new island to reason that desert cam wouldnt be effective overall. Also consider the troops are there as advisers and playing as opfor sometimes, this is quite normal i think for them to wear differing fatigues when training others.

I voted yes. I dont have a problem with it being used in single player. I dont think it will work for all single player missions however. Im thinking that during a certain kind of mission (combined units working together?) there is a potential for lots of stuff going off, that you may otherwise miss if you were just an infantryman, tanker, pilot etc with one role. Instead of having one mission played in one role this could increase the scope and immersion of any task you have to fullfill as the player. But i guess we will just have to wait and see...

Merry Christmas and peace and good health to you all!

Played the demo, didnt like the weapon performance to much, but did like that you can hop in and out the game with ease for a quick fix. Im actually beginning to enjoy it now as I have been in some good squads who actually work together. So I bought the game and the experience has gotten better with patience and team work, if you can find it. Playing as squad leader or commmander if very rewarding if you have like minded players on the server. "Mashtuur City" and "Strike at Karkand" are probably the best ever urban enviroment maps I have ever played, they are amazing, the sense of intensity and pace gets the adrenaline flowing It wont replace my OFP, but having played the same OFP maps online over and over for the last few months, BF2 is just a welcomed break. IMO its a fun game, nothing more.

The screen shots look really good Blackblood, its been worth the wait indeed. Nice work
-
The Russian equipment gets my vote

The name doesnt really bother me, however I came up with: Global War Crisis Flashpoint World Crisis Combined Operations Warfare United Tatical Operations Global Strategic Onslaught Flashpoint Confrontation Armed Tatical Ops Decisive Strategic Battles
-
Very impressive work indeed! Will you also be making some top notch RAF pilots and crew to go with the Tornado's etc...
-
Sterling job! I like the randomizing for the units, but will you be including some Game Logics for the different appearances, for lazy mission editors like myself?
-
Nice work chaps, looking forward to the new additions and updates. By the way, any plans to release at some point some RM's in Artic Snow suits?
-
I agree. it would be better to have a dedicated unit as a team medic. However I hope you can make it so the unit has full gear load out slots, unlike the default BI medic, which is limited to what it can carry
-
Nice work Blackblood, they look fantastic! I was wondering regards the SAS units, have you made a dedicated medic amongst them? or pehaps heal functions for them all?
-
Would it be possible to make this addon work with other units? So that any unit could be equipped with NBC gear if equipped in the loadout?
-
Outstanding!!!
