  1. What if you read BIS and ArmA2 announcement first?

  2. Well I was playing a lot on the different server´s that run c&h missions in the last couple month but the cheating problem is getting worse and worse. At the moment there is actually no point in playing c&h maps anymore because you dont need to wait long for some assholes running cheats and ruin the game. That was allready a big problem in OFP but BIS never solved the problem. So in ArmA we still have the same problems like in OFP.

    Will we have the same problem in ArmA 2 as well?

    If yes I have to go straight for OFP 2 beause whats the point in online gaming when every 4rd guy is running a cheat...?

    I realy hope BIS is taking this problem more SERIOUS this time and will come up with something that works.

    I'm glad I'm getting the 360 version. Likely less issues and my pals will be there. If you end up with cheaters constantly find a group of friends to play private games with so no cheaters get in. I hope this helps.

    Its also a great item to play on someone elses save if you can't finish a level. I was stuck on a level for two months until I tried AR. I was glad to progess in the game afterwards without throwing the controller in anger!

    Which mission did you get stuck on, Tango?

    Ok, sorry to intrude upon your conversation but my hardest mission was one called last stand where 2 snipers hold off against a platoon head on.


  4. You are welcome to come to my rooms but you must have a mic and I only host up to three slots. There are alot of idiots out there so I have a blacklist. If anyone is in it they do not get a second chance with me even if has been two years or more. confused_o.gif

    Desperado, you should forgive.  Forgive and forget.  Sometimes kicking is not even needed.  Warn them, like the moderators here do.  If they keep doing it kick them out forever.  Also I have a 360 mic, I'm getting a new mic to work with this xbox and will be setting up warfighter on xbox 1 and will be a regular flashpoint gamer.  I'm getting a mic because alot of people were whining and spazzing out thinking I only have an xbox and not a 360.  Wow.


  5. warfighter, was it you I played with, along with a few others, last night? I was mosimoshi and we were playing a Pearl Harbour type map with avired (i think that was his name). We were flying bi-planes, bombing a harbour, bailing and then attacking on foot. It was a pretty good map.

    Anyway I could always host but not until next weekend.

    Yep, I was a random seagull flying near an LST.  Hey if you're online currently I will host some of my finest maps.  Hey tell Garudo I apologise for last night.  I didn't get why we kept playing that same map and I was going to try and get rid of that annoying music on last stand.  Hey if you know snyd guys?  That kid is so annoying I made him quit his life game.  Flashpoint was not made to play life.  It was made to simulate combat scenarios on large scale battles.  Life is for the kids.

    Heh, I was a seagull quite alot myself, too. I really have to practice flying and landing the bi-planes. Boy, they are tricky! I liked avi's idea, though: land the bi-plane; grab your weapons; take-off and strafe the harbour under fire; land (or bail) then attack on foot.

    I'll be online this weekend if you are around. Personally I prefer infantry battles and get very bored with dog fights and hosted games that kick you immediately.

    It's bullcrap, no one plays anything but base(All looks no substance, basically a bunch of people looking at a base for 6 hours on hand), life(homo kiddie game), Border patrol(it's an ok game), and the most boring of all dogfights and flight training.  I play this game to simulate warfare.  It just kills me to see people waste their life playing gametypes that don't have an f ing thing to do about combat, war, military etc.  Now I remember why I got a 360. I'm sorry, it's so hard to find tactical gamers on this.

  7. I have to say, This game(simulator) DOES'T belong on a xBOX OR 360, This game is ment to be played on a PC.

    The fact that we released this game on Xbox means it was meant to be played on Xbox, please take your snobby PC superiority complex back to the PC game threads and leave the BIS console game threads to more enlightened people smile_o.gif

Ok, I've noticed that most people who play this do some lame things like dogfights which is kind of boring.  I was thinking on an agreed date we could round up some players to do some combined arms scenarios.  I will host it sadly I won't be able to talk though sense my 360 mic won't work with the xbox version.  I will be Squad leader.  If I tell you to move it's going to be part of a bigger plan.  I can't communicate too well without a mic so two people for each fireteam will have to coordinate.  I want to play border patrol just once.  If you see me my gamertag is OBESE PIGEONZ it's only temporary till I get my 360 fixed. If anyone has a mic that would be great since you could do the leading.


  9. Strange Meeting, Spearhead, Recon (merged with Wake-up call but still...) , Killdozer, and Incursion were cut.

    Escape from prision was significantly shortened.

    Red Dawn was significantly changed.

    Other missions also had large changes and the Resistance single missions were also cut. Plus, the editor sucks.

    WTF

    I don't deny that some of the missions are different or missing in the Xbox version, but as far as the mission editor is concerned, it's probably THE best editor available on ANY console game.  The latest Halo release might have it beat, but on the original XBox, nothing else even comes close.

    Halo 3 doesn't because you can program AI platoons in this, waypoints etc.


  10. I don't feel very possitive about ARMA 2 but i still think its gonna be great to play if the game engine improves a lot between now and the release..

    My wish is that in ARMA 2 the aircrafts and choppers gonna be more diffecult to fly, and not arcade style like now in ARMA..

    I hope that they make the flying more like a simmulator with  a Full or partial useable aircraft systems..

    I want to see the MFD's working,Radar, CHAFF/FLARE countermeasures, ECM, Forward Looking Infrared and a Identyfy Friend or Foo. Cause now its just to easy to go fly a fighterjet or a chopper.. I don't even fly them very much anymore because i can waste entire armored collums and infantry with it in a cople minutes.. Yeah first that was fun but now its so boring. And these changes will mean that the NOOBS will stay away from the jets and choppers because its simply a little to diffecult to fly them right away...

    And also its to simple to take out those fighters with a Stinger or strela.. in real life it wood take a lot of training and skill to take out a fast jet with such weaponry ( i know its just a game but i think it wood really make the gameplay better if they make the stinger and strela less effective to fast movers)

    And if this all happens.. a lot of people can go learn to fly these aircraft and really feel good about taking out other vehicels and transporting infantry because this time it will take skill......... And please o please let there be SAM launcher in the orriginal release... But i think i'm asking to much now LOL

    Let the flying be something Like Lock On Modern air combat.... But 25% less diffecult

    F22A, F18s, F16s, F15s, Eurofighter, Tornado, Migs.


  11. I would say that in ArmA II you will mostly find equipment which is needed for the campaign in that game.

    Things like "every abrams to date" really makes very, very little sense.

    "All modern camo" hmm... this can't be a serious topic. I will abandon it now. Please don't waste our time again like this.

    It was late when I wrote this. I think you get what I was trying to mean though. Perhaps european camos, russian, middle east, US, etc.

    It seems that people are forgetting, that it's supposed to be a game, not a 3D military encyclopedia.

    I highly doubt it's in BIS' capabilities to model and texture every vehicle/object that has to do something with army. Please stay on Earth with your suggestions.

    It's not a game, it's a civilianised war simulator. I'am staying on earth. At least I'm trying to. Or we can add stick grenades and bunny hopping and my personal favorite power weapons(Sarcasm).


  13. We need official PVP maps with player classes and a better respawn system.

    In Berzerk maps there is fun but everyone can carry anything, like M249 an a Stinger. so there must be classes mostly cause everyone has a m136 (getting in a shilka or m113 is a suicide).

    Also the game should be made this way that groups have to matter and leaders of groups have also to play a big role.

    My idea in general is a game like BF 2 in the pholosophy but with the differance in that ArmA is realistic.

    Also not so all the times the vehicles to respawn and not in all places.

    Using a bunch of weapons at once would ruin this game.

    For positive feedback and praising use this thread.

    The channel rules apply here too, no flamebaiting, insults etc. Violations against this result in a 24h PR (at least).

    I don't see why you would hate it.  It's basically flashpoint with better graphics.

    correction. ArmA is an OFP Mod... FFUR looked better at times lol. AND had less problems

    Didn't know that. I got a 360 as you can see and they better not screw ARMA 2 up on that. Glitches are not that bad.


  15. I want them so bad.  I don't know how to mod my xbox so I was hoping you guys could tell me so I could replace 80s NATO soldiers with ACU soldiers, M468s, Barrets, ETC.  I'm sorry what I meant was addons.  If it wasn't appropriate I'am sorry.

    EDIT:Sorry guys, I didn't realise this was innapropriate. I read the old forum rules and don't remember seeing this. Sorry, I'm just jelous of some of you folks getting 50. snipers.


  16. For myself one of the biggest things lacking in all combat simulations is an ai with more 'human' like qualities. The ai in OFP is very good taticaly, using gernades and flanking manouvers, but it is still lacking suppressive fire.

    I'd love to see LMG used as they are intended, to lay down fire to get the enemy to keep their heads down as you move. Nothing frustrates me more than having the ai cooly pick you off because your fire is landing all around them, but not quite hitting them. I'd love to see a 'fear for life' in the ai. Not blindly running into a stream of bullets, but actaully keeping their head down and staying in cover.,

    It maybe very hard to impliment and would have a drastic effect on gameplay. Some would argue that the game would loose a lot of the 'fun factor' because firefights would be more drawn out and not always have a desisive victory. At the same time it would really help with fire and move tatics. I'd love to have a support element under my command and able to tell them to hit an area with suppressive fire as I manouver my other men to a better position.

    What does everyone thing and what other improvements or changes to the ai they would love to see?
