I think Suchey and Earl made the Suchey and Earl marines....hehe just kidden it was Wilco i think. but beside the point they only had the lav25 where the gunner is the same height as the 25mm cannon some versions such as the lav-ad and lav-at have the weapon systems different height to the gunner so you get no optics.

Well what we are tying to do is break that cycle of New addon no missions.  It usually happens becasue people dont know what the addon is used for or is capable of. I think with some of the stuff we're talking about, features etc it should make the C130 actually the mission not just a part of a mission. There are no promises here; but we're trying to create something that will make things like supply drops, Infiltration, covert landings, Combat drops, Extractions etc a practical option.  Scenerios where you have to fly the aircraft into enemy territory actually providing a realistic service in a combat environment whilst getting shot at.  Where you suffer dammage and failures as a result and you have to deal with the consequences.  Where its going to take planning and skill on the part of the player to complete the mission. Thats the intent anyway  if we can pull it off it should be good I agree, BAS did the same thing and that's what made their addons so enjoyable can't wait to see some missions. I think half the enjoyment of the BAS missions was the cut scenes man they were good and it showed the capabilities of the addon. Sorry I would help out but I'm an armour man, the only time I sawwas a c130 was when I was with ADGs (Air Defence Guards)doing base protection and the c130 was only taxing, and if you ever met guys in Armour we are a pretty boring bunch so I can't give you ideas.

hi dude, I recently came back to OFP (well kinda always kept with the news) and was amazed at the progress made. Virtually its all about the SDK ever since BIS publically released it everyone has made their own addons at varying quality (mainly perfect quality) and its made OFP great. The community seem to work well together and there are equal amounts of addon makers and mods working for the East and West. The problem which I believe we are now facing is that alot of addons being made are suffering the m4 syndrome meaning that every tom, dick and harry have released their version of the m4 but systems like JAM have kept compatibility with various addons. Outta curiosity addons which I believe are suffering the m4 syndrome are the t72s and alot the russian infantry (but the quality is great) Apart from that you can d/l addons, addon packs and full mods of armies and defence forces of many countries in the world an example is recently awsome Chinese Mod was released and even more recently the Turkish Mod and the Polish Mod have popped up and I have to say the quality is great. But not everything is about addons there are some great effect packs out there which do everything from changing the default models in game to adding new animations (which I highly recommend you to get) to making the AI alot more smarter. anyway I'm rambeling as though I'm in a retierment home. PS. did i ever tell you the story about how i used a nickle to cross the Mississippi just jokin

Well the work rock's put in is incredible.. but people always tend to treat each addon release like it's OFP2, and going to change their gaming forever, then complain it was over-rated. Likelyhood is the majority of players will play with it in mission editor for 5 minutes then download something else, and that's fine, but really the people who are going to see a real benefit of having this is their addon folders are those who will get into the real bulk of mission making and put the time into creating scenarios where this aircraft would be used, it takes more time and effort but players will get more out of it. I intend to have a series of missions included with the pack to get peoples' imaginations started, but from there it's down to the player to get as much out of it as they put in. So, don't expect the next ECP or Armed Assault, and you can't be disapointed. Â Finally an addon with some missions.

Once again great work FK the models, variants and textures are great. can't wait for more add-ons as the weekend progresses :D:D And at people who say FK has stolen textures He unlike many people have actually accredited where he got the textures from, also if you can criticize him for using another mods textures why don’t you volunteer to redraw textures for him. Also for people who say the NATO and desert texture looks like COMBAT! Addon textures that’s because he made them so they are compatible genius.

Thnx for the heads up its just that I taught they were Koren Vehicles becuase they looked really simular to the k200 KIFV (korean infantry fighting vehicle) and they k200 KAFV (korean army fighting vehicle). Source - Global Security.com My mistake *My mistake the k200 KIFV was based on the US AIFV (Advanced Infantry Fighting Vehicle Project) it was designed to replace the m113s in the early 80s but the US dicided to update the MBTs instead the project was still opened to the US allies and was later devloped to meet the specifications of the South Koreans, I'm pretty sure Turky being a NATO memeber has dicided to adapt the AIFV to their specifications -

If I can get my AI taxi sctipts working the way I want, ship lifts are the next logical step. It would be nice to have the Nimitz buzzing away, like the hive of activity it should be. hence why I would rather see BIS refine the engine to accomindate these sorta stuff -

You can but it will be the only gun on the whole chopper becuase you can only add one proxy weapon on a vehicle (without a scripts [none have been made yet]), its a limitation in OFP

oh please dont zap me oh might one (DKM Jaguar) but i think nx_illusion was drawing the parity that some OFP addons will be compatible with Armed Assault and that the addon quality which you have presented will still be an addon which sets the standards in Armed Assault. In other words I think he meant well.

woo I bet whoever is in charge of them was pissed. dunno about the US but over here in Australia the warrent officer reakons he owns the aircraft and the pilot is just borrowing it.

For a desert FIA i was thinking more of something like the Afghan nothern alliance or something like the kurdish fighters both of which have some sort of regimental organisation and can have some sort of armour organisation

I dont think we really need to OFP has probably one of the best engines for importing any addon you want to have in the game. If anything I would prefer BIS to refine the engine and we the community can hopefully organise our selves and make the addons we want -
Yep its strange that ships dont have a good AA system, the ship i found to have the best AA system which also doubles up as really good barrage support isthis addon released a while ago. More info about the patrol ship can be found here.
