Hi! First of all, cool idea! I'm a great fan of everything that has to do with people stranded on remote islands. I have some suggestions on literature for you in the matter: * "The Mysterious Island" by Jules Verne. Many references are made to Robinson Crusoe but this book features many castaways rather than one. It is the sequel to "The Children of Captain Grant" which in turn is the sequel to "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea". The castaways are pretty skilled at, well almost everything, and manage to create a pottery, a blacksmith, nitoglycerin, gunpowder, rifles, tools, etc. They almost blow the whole island away using nitoglycerin, it's all pretty cool. Here's the whole book for you to read online: The Mysterious Island * "Lord of the Flies", By William Golding. I'm sure you've read this in school or whatever. It's funny really, if you read it when you're little, you think it's creepy, and when you're older it gets pretty silly. However, it has some rather good descriptions of what desperation and fear may lead to in man. * Life of pi by Yann Martel. It's about a boy forced to live alone on a small boat for several months. He learns to catch fish and stuff like that. It shows how isolation, hunger and such may affect a person. And by the way, he's not entierly alone: a tiger keeps him company on the ocean. Read these books and you might get some good ideas. Keep up the good work! Cheers

Yeah, a mod is a great idea. I've given it some thought even. The following is what I've come up with: * Borrow player models, molotov cocktails, mosin nagant from FDF. * Make weapons: tommygun, colt 1911, colt detective special, winchester shotgun, sawed-off shotgun etc. * Make some cars. This is probably the hardest bit. * Borrow some suiting island with nice roads and houses. I don't think it would be possible to make a city with cars, pedestrians etc, wherefore the mod has to be situated in the country side. * Mission ideas would be as follows: A deal with canadian whiskey is taking place in a farm, or on a bridge/road somewhere. You and a like 3 guys more arrive in a truck to load/unload the whiskey when all of a sudden police turn up. You may also be ripped off or rip off the gangsters with whom you make the deal. You then drive home with the whiskey/doe, get ambushed or ambush a truck yourself. You could also get involved in a car chase that features cars with 'mounted' tommyguns in the car windows with a lot of spread so you don't hit mouch when you drive. If possible the guns could rest in the car seat while you're not sitting in gunner position and come out the window when you get in. This is just some ideas I've come up with. Might be hard to accomplish. I think it depends on the interest of the community of such a mod. What do you think?

Hehe, cool! Didn't know there were any gangster models for OFP. I'm a fan of the game Mafia so I'd like to see some mafia weapons, cars and such... Thanks for the very nice feedback! I'm glad you liked it. My next project is another weapon featured in Mafia: the Colt Detective Special. A compact revolver used by the police in the 20's. The model is finished, only texturing and scripting left to do. Thanks again! Cheers

You know that little "i" box at the corner of a BIS weapon in the Gear tab in OFP that shows you information about the weapon... how can I add one of those to my gun? Can it be done or ist it hard-codedly impossible? I want to be able to display information about my weapon and magazines. Thanks

Hi! I'm making a weapon and I want to use the muzzle flash of the AK47 in OFP for it. Problem is I can't find muzzle flashes anywhere. I suppose other addon makers often use BIS original flashes? If that is the case, how do they load these texture files into Oxygen? I've read lots of tutorials and in brsseb's weapon tutorial you can download a muzzle flash that I suppose has been made by him. And another thing. Does the BIS weapons use different muzzle flashes for every time you fire, or is it always the same one? I've watched a weapon closely as it was fired and I think it looks like the flash changes a bit between every shot. I would also like different flashes for my weapon. Help, plz. Thanks

We both have quite fast connections. He has 2 Mbit up and down and I have 10 Mbit up and down, so that shouldn't be a problem. We tried playing a regular BIS mission and experienced no lag there. However, the day we tried it my bud had some problems with his connection. This, however, does not explain why he only experienced lag when he joined me and not when he was the host. When I joined him I got lag too. The mission works fine in single player for both. Maybe we should download this farmland addon and see if that settles it. I'm gonna do some tests now, like starting two games on the same computer and join myself. Also I'll install the farmland addon. Oh yeah, there was some other error message when you put an Union Artillery NCO in the map. Not in the mission editor but in multiplayer. You got the message "missing addon: enfieldsoldier". Then when started the mission in MP those guys had only melee available for the Sharps 1858 Carbine and no ammo. Just an ammunition pouch. When you chose to reload the pouch nothing happened. I'll get back to you if I find out more. Cheers OK, now I've tried it by starting two games and joining myself. This is a good way of testing MP missions btw if you don't have two computers. Anyway, the game that joined got real bad out of sync, so it's definately not a connection issue. I didn't even use a network, right? Also, discovered another bug. When, in MP, I tried fixing a bayonette I got the error '(Magazines _Unit) Select _ID == |#| _BayonetName': Error Zero divisor. The bayonette worked though. Just an anyoing message I think. Well, hope you guys could look into the multiplayer aspect and do something about it. As said I love your mod and only want it to work. Cheers -

Hi! First I wanna say great mod guys! Made a quick multiplayer map for me and my buddy. However, the one who joins the server experiences lots of lag... I mean lag like in out of sync.. And it doesn't matter whether you put a 100 units in there or 4... the guy who joins still sees all the soldiers spinning their legs on the ground, not moving. Also I there was some kind of error message when you load the G-burg island. Have you guys experienced similar problems? Does anyone know what can be done about this? Please help. I love this mod, but it's unplayable in multiplayer -
OK, hehe. I must admit I modified your addon and removed the sounds. They are good but were driving me mad. I so wanted to include it in my mission that I'm playing with my mate. Hope this is OK. I'm not sharing it to the whole world or anything.

Great addon man! Might wanna fix the sounds though, cause they can be heard across the whole map. Else superb work I think. Keep up the good work.
