i've got an absolute shitload of reference pics, i'll try and grab you on messenger and port them over.

ah, sorry about that, i thought i had kept it under, guess the fairies' got em at some point. as for when they're coming out, the best i can do is 'when they're ready'. i'm continuing to develop the model itself, seeing as i've just finished the ironsight model and moving onto the LSW. the UGL and then the carbine's will probably follow, and then a couple of nightsights/extras when i can find the time. oh and the standard 0.000 Res LOD has about 2050 faces, so its detailed, but it shouldn't wreck anyone's machine with proper LODs(which i'm spending a lot of time on trying to get perfect). i've had a couple of requests about the textures, so hopefully somebody will be able to help me out. Ps: looking forward to the PUKF release, its about time we had some decent UK units

ok, i'm putting up the model maps for anyone who fancies a crack at creating the textures. if you have any questions, just ask.

not really its just Spec being bitter and trying to kick up a fuss. and for those who are interested Bishop and LordHorus have left the Star Wars mod and intend to release their units themselves. The Wh40k Mod is still operational and is concentrating on improving the beta units that have been released. Hah, Â there is Wonderboy for you... Â And for those of you who are wondering about the firework video you can find it here... http://www.media.ebaumsworld.com/index.php?e=fireworkfactory.wmv Now tell me, do you se anybody being killed in that picture? No, so why should popel start a "fuss" about that? Huh wonderboy Huh? Huh? When watching the video I don't think your brain is saying "Omg, I'm a lil girl, I'm crying cuz fireworks are flying everywhere and people COULD be dying even when I can't see them!" I think your brain is saying "DUDE!!! OMG!!! OMG!!!!! AWSOME!" I could be wrong...some people are little babies afterall Ha! Spec, you know it wasn't just that, you'd been acting like an arsehole there for months, that was just the last straw for the poor camel. Anyway, i'm not about to cause an arguement on this forum, about another forum, about a topic that doesn't even matter anymore. so this'll be the last time i reply about this. if however people want to ask (useful) questions about the OPSCIFI mods, i'll be more than happy to answer them.

thanks very muchly for the pics, they've got some great detail on them. cheers

i haven't received any PM yet, if its still in the system maybe i'll get it later....
-
cheers, that'll be a great help, does the magazine mention what role the new version will be playing?
-
that would be great if you could, it'd help me finish the family

Which version/upgrades does this model have? a pic would be nice if you can find it. also i believe this is the K2: and yes i intend to make it, even though its an ugly bugger. the previous pic you were shown i was thinking of creating as a custom weapon job for CQB using the ironsights, seeing as it bodges together the (shorter) LSW foregrip and a shorter barrel (though still longer than the new K2 barrel). Pathy, it'd be great if i could have a look at those textures, i've added you to messenger, so i'll try and catch you there, cheers

I've just finished working on a highly detailed SA80 model and now that i've begun mapping it (joy oh joy) i finally need someone elses help, you see i have the natural texturing ability of a crippled bumblebee and in order to do the model justice it could do with some top notch textures. so if there are any decent texture artists out there who fancy having a crack at it please just say so. Also for any of those you actually interested, i'm planning to make many variants of the SA80 including: SA80 A2 + AG36 (Grenade Launcher) SA80 A2/Carbine w/ Hardsights SA80 Carbine SA80 A2 w/ Nightsight LSW Cadet Rifle as well a few odds and ends that aren't actually strictly military issue in order to make the SA80 more adaptable such as: Supressor Reflex/HOLO/Red Dot Sights Laser/IR Pointer and basically anything else i can find pictures of. also any feedback on the model would be appreciated. well, enough yapping the pics are below:

some nice models and textures there guys, the models seem to be pretty high poly, eg, the M16 has a total of 2243 faces, are you planning on using these as they are and use loads of detail LODs to help out lower end specs, or are you planning on cutting down on the detail of the model? the reason i ask is that i've made an SA80 of similar detail standards and am suffering the same decision, i'm just wondering what your thoughts on it are.

-You see a chopper in the sky and wonder why its not flying 5m off the ground to prevent shilka fire....

dunno about ofp, but you definately know you've used O2 too much when you're in bed trying to get to sleep and your 'mouse hand' uses the wheel to zoom in, selects a face with the left click and extends the face with the right click. scary thing, it happened to me a couple of nights ago, had to physically hold my fingers still.
