  1. the hacking in ARMA 2 has killed the multiplayer community. Just today, I have tried playing on several different servers and then hackers, claiming to be Team Deadly, screw it all up. Has there been any statements or anything what so ever about ARMA 3 being more secure? This is just absolutely ridiculous
  2. Seriously...this is awful. EVERY server Ive tried playing on today has got the black YOU HAVE BEEN HACKED BY TEAM DEADLY message. Every...single.....one BIS, please get your shit together and learn how to secure MP gaming. Thanks
  3. well, for one I doubt its Team Deadly as there zarg life server was hacked into obscurity. This has happened on every server Ive been on today that had more than 5 playing, from TAW to 7th cav. Its been ridiculous
  4. Im going to be simple: (Rev 6:1,2) Now I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures say, as with a voice of thunder, "Come!" And I saw, and behold, a white horse, and its rider had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer. The United States of America, easily. He uses a bow, a long range weapon, sets forth to conquer wears a crown of victory. (Rev 6:3,4) When he opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, "Come!" And out came another horse, bright red; its rider was permitted to take peace from the earth, so that men should slay one another; and he was given a great sword. Al Quada/terrorism. Further cross referencing would show that the sword is a sacrificial sword. Note that its rider was given power to make men kill each other, 'was given' indicates God's permissive approval....."Allah Ackbar"....God Willing. This red horse shows up where the white horse has been. (Rev 6: 5,6) When he opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, "Come!" And I saw, and behold, a black horse, and its rider had a balance in his hand; and I heard what seemed to be a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, "A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; but do not harm oil and wine!" To make more sense of this.....A quart of wheat for a day's wages, and three quarts of barley for a day's wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine! Communism, OBVIOUSLY. (Rev 6:7,8)When he opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, "Come!" And I saw, and behold, a pale horse, and its rider's name was Death, and Hades followed him; and they were given power over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by wild beasts of the earth. The Baath Party. They killed for no real reason, with their weapons, which they had to aqquire by making their people starve, famine and sickness, and by pestilince, sicknes and plague, ANTHRAX and even to the wild animals that they owned. The cast? George W. Bush Usama bin Laden Kim Jong II Saddam Hussein The Apocolypse means The Revelation. Some people confuse The Apocolypse with Armegeddon but they are not the same. I am not religious or anything although I have been, thats how I knew to relate all of this. I could go alot more in depth but....Ill let people who really want to know whats going on do the work just to make the cross references themselves. I could easily be wrong but what if I were to be right?

  6. First of all, I understand why people like to play with crosshairs. Â It makes it that much easier and more effortless to get a kill. Â This thread, though, is about why I Love playing without them. In the real world, it is possible to fire a rifle and hit something without bringing it to the proper aiming posistion. Â The shot will not be as accurate as it would be aimed but you can still hit something. Â In OFP, you have to ability to aim from the hip without bringing the rifle to aim, all you gotta do is put a crosshair on someone and fire, be it at 20m or 200m. Â This, in my opinion, is "persons whom do not play OFP to its fullest challenges"-ishness. In the real world, when you are not aiming at someone, you arent focused on one area, OFP simulates this by giving you a decent field of view(FoV). In the real world, when you use iron sights, your focus is on what you are aiming at. Â OFP simulates this very well by zooming in a bit on what you are looking at which also decreases the angle of your FoV therefor taking away some of what would be your periphial vision which, when aiming you wouldnt really be using like you would when not aiming. Â It is kind of hard to focus on your surrondings when you are trying to frag a guy on the run at 200m. Â In combat, as we all know, soldiers dont have any kind of cyberware that shows them where their bullets are going to go, this is why they have to stop and aim. Â As I said before, you might be able to take someone down without aiming at close range, 50m or less, but the odds are that you are more than likey going to miss while the other guy stops and aims and nails you as you try to fire again. Â Aimless potshots like this, tho, are one of the reason why we have burst fire. Â Sometimes it can be a reflex to just fire, especially in the heat of combat when stopping to aim could mean a bullet in the face. Thats how combat is. Â Now, what gets me in OFP using the crosshair, is that you dont have to use your iron sights like a soldier would have to, even at 200m. Â All you have to do is put yer crosshair on the person, maybe lead a bit and fire. Â No reason to really stop a second and aim. Â This, as I have said, is "persons whom do not play OFP to its fullest challenges"-ishness. Â This is Counterstrike and Battlefield 1942 style gameplay, not OFP style. Â This is arcade gameplay, not a simulation of infantry combat, the thing OFP fans claim to Love so much about OFP...yet it is played as one would play an arcade game... Now, some will say that in real life, you can feel your gun and where the bullet is going to go. Â General direction, yes, accuratly hitting something, I think not. Â You can though, play OFP without the crosshairs. Â This is how: Meet Civvy. Â I will be using him to show how to do this. Â I will be aiming at his middle for every shot, that nice pattern. Believe it or not, you can tell where the shot will go. Â It is simply a matter of, instead of thinking 3D, you must think in 2D. Â This is how: Â This does not mean that you still can not use your visual clues of to where your bullet will go. Now, aiming from the hip like this is not easy in OFP, but it isnt in real life either and that is the reason we have iron sights! Now, another thing that gets me, is there are all these squads out there that claim to be hardcore with OFP, pure veterns, yet they play OFP without the thing that makes it an even better and more challenging game, the ability to play without crosshairs. When you play with crosshairs, you might as will turn on all the other "persons whom do not play OFP to its fullest challenges" friendly features, hell, you might as well play BF1942 with the DC mod because that is all it turns out to be. Â You are also letting BIS know that all that work they put into making sure the angle of the rifle corrosponds with where the bullets will go, was a complete waste of their time and money. Anyways, I am not telling anyone how to play, I am simply stating why I play without crosshairs. Â It adds that much more challenge, that much more realism and believe it or not, will cause you to rethink your way of playing. Â I admidt I started playing OFP with the crosshairs but since I stopped, it has become an entirely different type of game. Â I actually need to think about where I go and if I will have time to raise my rifle and aim or if I should approach my target with more caution. Â Dont forget, though, that you can move with the iron sights up but it does take that much away from your view...but thats the idea. Â You have a rifle and your arms blocking off a good portion of your view for the price of being that much more accurate. I would really like to get involved with a squad who plays OFP the way it is meant to be played, as an infantry combat simulation set in the 80s. Â If any of you are in one, let me know. PS, I used my yahoo account to host the images so they may not show. Â If someone could host them that would be great but if not, just check out my folder, you will figure it what pictues go where. The four horseman of the apocalypse, now

God IS the stupidity of mankind. It is mans way of not facing reality and looking for an alternate means of support and survival that requires no true effort but getting on your knees and asking instead of taking. Most importantly, it is Man not realizing that Man can be God or Satan. We have already made it to where we can be Adam or Eve, it wont be long until we realize that there is a God, there is a Satan and both have lived withen us sine our beginings. They are not true individuals but humanities core exsistance. or something like that.

I am God. I am Satan. I am Adam. I am Eve.
  9. Calling someone a "n00b" is flame baiting, that's against the rules, I would suggest an attitude adjustment, share your thoughts by all means but other people are capable of doing it without flaming/flame baiting so you should be able to also. *does some post editing* better?
  10. And personally why should you criticize or demean someone by thier style of gameplay? You shouldnt but a "person who does not play OFP to its fullest challenges" is a "person who does not play OFP to its fullest challenges" and thats that! I use 3rd person and I'm proud! Well thats great! Â Just dont expect to play with me, though!

Oh damn well, you @#$* have gone and hijacked my thread. yeah, and people can move mountains with faith the size of a mustard seed? One thing about religion, christianity specifically, that bugs the ever loving shit out of me is all these pictures of this pale white guy who supposidly was a carpenter in the middle east. 99% of the christain population wouldnt know Jesus if he was standing right in front of them. Ill start having faith in christianity when it actually finds out who Jesus Christ was. Until then, it is all hogwash that people use for political and financial gain, just as it has always been.
  12. ROFL Wasrad u just made my day. I am just as good with cross hair as withtout. You talk so tough, but I bet that in the ofp field u would get walked over 2wice by most ppl..... Is that a challenge? You get me 3 crosshair players playing against lonely ol' me, turn off crosshairs and I will show you what its like to get walked over "2wice".
  13. When you play with crosshairs, you are just as good at it as someone who just started. It is as simple as that. End Subject. P.S. n00b, much like most gaming geek lingo, has been around much longer than CS.
  14. This forum is not populated with kids You know, it is so funny to me how can not find where I said it was...maybe you could point this out for me and maybe explain why you bothered to throw this comment in? Playing without a crosshair [doesn't] make you superior to someone playing with[out] it As far as the game it self...yes...yes it does. Play a few SP misisons with it, then play without it and tell me it is not that much more challenging, that much more immersive and frankly, that much more scary! Â Of course, this means that when you are engaging someone at 200m, you cant just fire from the hip with your cyberware crosshairs, you actually have to bring the rifle up and AIM Â OMFG!!! noob is an insult in 90% of the people agenda , remember that too. Ive made it clear what I do not see "person who does not play OFP to its fullest challenges" as an insult, only a level of gaming skill. Â If anyone choses to take it as an insult then so be it but that is not the intention. Â If me calling you a "person who does not play OFP to its fullest challenges" then maybe you should stop playing like one! As far as my "behavior", I am not the one intentionally slinging insults. Â I may say someone is a "person who does not play OFP to its fullest challenges", but only when they are in fact, a "person who does not play OFP to its fullest challenges". Â It is like calling a human being a human being. Â You are what you are.
  15. Once you started to play without crosshairs you get used to it. No need for an movement indicator. You will althoug get a feel to aim in the right generall direction before raising your iron sights. EXACTLY! Â All it takes it a little effort, patience and practice. Â It really is not that hard and makes the game SO MUCH more immersive. ...why this "im better than though cause i play without crosshairs" attitude? Because as far as playing the game goes, I AM. Â But the fact is that there are legitimate reasons to play with crosshairs that have nothing to do with players wanting a more forgiving or less realistic experience. Not for me, there isnt. Â If anything, there are more "legitimate reasons" to play WITHOUT crosshairs, OFP was designed for this and it was done very well. Â How do you explain gamers who play without 3rd person, icons, or any other cadet options, but still keep the crosshairs? Doesn't seem like the behavior of noobs to me. You either play as cadet or vetern, there is no middle ground, only wanna be's. ...and many of its other modes require the crosshair to function properly I cant find one thing in OFP the requires the crosshairs to be enabled for the function to work properly, certainly not "many". Â I only play OFP with crosshairs off and everything works fine for me. Â You have no right to insult other players... My question is this, though. Â How is calling someone a "persons whom do not play OFP to its fullest challenges" an insult? Â A "persons whom do not play OFP to its fullest challenges" is someone who is not as good at a game as others, the non-"persons whom do not play OFP to its fullest challenges". Â I didnt say newbie, i said "persons whom do not play OFP to its fullest challenges". Â Different forms of lingo, here. Â I didnt call anyone an asshole or a democrat, I am just stating that they arent as good as they claim to be and are delusional (ok, so maybe Im indirectly calling them democrats). Â If someone takes being called a "person who do not play OFP to its fullest challenges" as derogatory, they need to check themselves and get over it, and turn off crosshairs too, heh.

  22. well I think it goes without saying that the people who play with crosshairs need an easier game to play, hence the reason they cant play without them. "persons whom do not play OFP to its fullest challenges" Easy solution to both problems = LEARN TO PLAY BETTER OR GO PLAY COUNTERSTRIKE!

"Helicopters attacking infantry? Â Another of your debatable interpretations?" How would you, if you were someone who lived in the time of writing of the book of revelations, describe seeing an Apache attacking a squad of Infantry or tanks? Â It is a serious question...give it a try if you would like. A "traumatic episode" yes, but all trips are good...depending on what you get out of it but enough drug talk.
