Cold War Rearmed III is a community project to recreate the experience of the great and unique Cold War Crisis and Resistance campaigns from Operation Flashpoint™ (later known as Cold War Assault). Our main focus is keeping the atmosphere from the original game, while taking advantage of Bohemia Interactive's modern engine and gameplay enhancements. Once again, you can witness the confrontation between the Soviet Union and the United States spiraling into a shooting war over the Malden islands, a chain of isles in the middle of nowhere... Welcome to the third return of the legendary Cold War Rearmed modification! Please see the links below for SP/MP Missions and the legendary Cold War Crisis campaign. For all missions, the CUP CWC terrains are used. We'll come up with new versions of these ever popular terrains, but that's also far away. Jakerod is good, but he also can't create terrains with pressing a button or two. 🙂 Note: Some uniforms and other items are moved from the core Mod to the USMC, VDV and VMF Expansions. This was necessary because in the end there was a huge mess of all kind of items. So if you're missing an item in an mission or in the editor: Load these Expansions and they should be back.     There's indeed a problem with the stringtable in this mission. For whatever reason the one from the previous mission was copied in that mission folder. Restored from backup and will update the campaign within the next hour. Sorry. 😔 Fixed, should be good now. If not: complain again 🙂

  4. After the rampage of the Armaholic "admin" I had repeated requests for the CWR² mod files. And after our website went down last year, the last download option was also lost. We are really spared nothing. 🙁 However, I have now uploaded the latest version of the mod (v1.7) to Google Drive and Onedrive. Included are the mod, all terrains, expansions and campaigns. Currently the SP/MP missions are missing, I'm working on those. And my only surviving archive of the Netherlands expansion is corrupted, so the Dutch are MIA. If anyone has them, please contact me.     Obviously. But more likely with your mental issues. Maybe it's not clear from panzergrenadier's post: you won't get any help for your "non-steam" arma here. How stupid do you have to be to ask for help in the forum of a game developer whose game you don't want to pay for? I would look for help where you got your Arma from.

    After a long time, a new update for the mod and all extensions. Unfortunately without any significant new content but some bug fixes and minor improvements. After months away from Arma and a temporary breakdown of our repository I have lost track of what has been done in detail. Therefore no changelog this time. Yes, it's getting worse and worse. 😀 The problem that some units/objects are not available in Zeus should - hopefully - be fixed. At least for the most part. If something is still missing, please specify what it is. A report with "Some objects are not available in Zeus" doesn't really help locating the issue when you have hundreds of objects.

It's still a small explosion just looks better. CHNGD : Removed additional pointless proxies added to PT-76 FIXED : Attempt to fix Zeus problems with Rebel units FIXED : Bug with low LOD MiG-23/27 variable wings Tonal Defense Forces ADDED : Flag poles for both factions British Armed Forces ADDED : '85 Infantry editor groups FIXED : Attempt to fix ACE turret error experienced by a discord user @HBAOplus Maybe one day this will be fixed, depending on how much effort it takes. But as always, realism is not one of the goals of the mod.
  16. The history of YAPRM (short for Yet Another POW Rescue Mission) goes back to the late OFP days but for a lot of reasons never was finished back then nor in the following ArmA versions. At some point I totally forgot about it and just recently ran into the archive again. Well, 15 or so years later I finally finished it on a new ArmA and Terrain. Evil FIA terrorists kidnapped three US citizens. Your 5 man SF team goes in by boat, free the hostages, overview their extraction and leave the island as you came. Sounds easy eh. Let's find out.     The Resistance missions are already in the CWR III missions package. All SP for sure, MP are two Nogova ones present. Could be that not all of them were converted (yet). I'd need to check that at some point.

    That's up to Stagler, but in general it's always hard to decide if the color is correct (or not) based on a photo or screenshot because it depends a lot on which camera is used, what monitor and if it's calibrated or not. Update on a Tuesday (very uncommon): All our bonus terrains - Canard, Drachenfels, Eilte, Poseidon, Saint Adam and Saint David - do not require CWR III anymore. CUP Terrains is the only requirement now.
  21. There was a hotfix for CWR2 v1.7 which to my shame was only available on a*holic with no local copy. That's what happen when you just wanna run away from everything. Yet, I blame Foxhound for that.😐 However, no serious problems were fixed. If I remember correctly, just minor issues related to the KGB extension were fixed.

    Sounds good. Sent you a message. @killdozer54 Support works exactly the same as in the core game or any other mod. Get close to a support vehicle and you see the action to refuel, repair or rearm.
  25. In the late Arma 2 days I had the idea to port the good old 'Core Island' from VBS1 to the new engine. It turned out that the CEO at the time, Pete Morrison, had the same idea, but a collaboration never happened. I guess he never had enough time. So after I got his permission, I continued the idea on my own. As it always happens, more people came forward, and the good soul Bushlurker created a whole new terrain texture and roads for it. Years later, when I discovered Tanoa, I remembered this terrain and thought of how well it would fit into the setting. So I grabbed my old source files and .... failed all the way. I just suck at terrains, can't help it. So I buried the idea for about a year until I talked to Jakerod about it and persuaded him to help me with the project. He replaced the old roads, textures, vegetation and some of the buildings to make it look more like "Tanoa". Without his help it would never have become a proper Arma 3 terrain. Thank you so much Jake, once again. I really appreciate your time and efforts you spent on it. Unlike in Arma 2, this time there are no custom units and vehicles included. Arma, CUP and CWR III offer more than enough possibilities for that. I dedicate this little terrain to Bushlurker, without him it wouldn't even exist. Available via Steam Workshop.
