Been playing since OFP/OFP:R and while I love Arma III I'm a bit annoyed at the data lock. Be nice to give us what we paid for but I understand deadlines and time/money constraints.

I'm also now experiencing issues while loading some islands. As of right now I've checked Desert and Takistan and I have CTD's.

Any of the old-school OFP modders still around? Bink? Fishkopp? Pappy Boyington? thunderbird84? I'm having a HUGE nostalgia moment looking at some VERY, VERY old addons I've worked on and I'd like to see if any of my fellow friends are still on. Hell, I remember the days when Llama would have CiA and all of the originals would come in, haha. Good times. And don't worry Mr. Burns, I haven't forgotten you old friend! Post if you were around this game in 2003/2004. My how this mod has come! I never would have expected it when Drow and I created this that it would actually hold on and continue. Outstanding gents! Keep it up!

Ive followed a few guides online and I managed to get mod islands working ingame (Obviously with errors) and other addons. Things look good.

Evening ladies and gents. I (Formally Wilco (Cant remember my damn password)) would like to throw out the idea of making a realistic LAV-25A2 for Arma II. I am an LAV Crewman in the United States Marine Corps and I have UNLIMITED access to this vehicle (Not going to disclose OPSEC information/items obviouisly) and I am willing to take whatever reference shots needed to get this model completed and in ArmA. I can get you sounds of both the M242 Bushmaster and M240 Bravo also. Examples:

A security clearance of secret is like having a background check done on you for work, haha. I'm not trying to sound cool because there is nothing cool about it, it's not like I'm entrusted with ANY kind of information at all, so my e-penis is so big! OPSEC doesn't really bother me, sure it shouldn't be posted but whatever, people will do it. PERSEC is on another level though, you're talking about people's identity and there are alot of bad people everywhere that want information about people. Now back on topic. Pufu that Kiowa looks flatout badass, please when you get those textures rolling to make the thing black and not green like I've seen. Kiowa's are black, not green. Good work mate, looking forward to seeing that bad boy!

Thankfully I only have a security clearance of secret. Ebolax is right. PERSEC and OPSEC should be taken as a serious matter, whether or not you can find the information on google/etc. The fact of the matter is that it has been listed as sensitive material and should not be sought after publicly.

And an Abrams isn't a light APC. They can lift blackhawk helicopters which way around 22,000 lbs.

If you're talking about the MH, yes, they are. On the other hand, we (Marine Corps) have many more CH-53E's in service.
