Good God! From the second paragraph: Bush has the balls to say that Saddam wouldnt let the UN inspectors in, and expects anyone to believe a single thing that comes out of his lying self? Good lord, he's either stupid or evil. Or both

Their... as in, this isnt just one person. The longer resistance occurs, the harder it is to blame it on just a select few malcontents.

If you perhaps want to put a familiar 'face' on that story, Avon, we might remember Lazarus_Long. He is a National Guard soldier called up to serve, presumably, in Iraq. And like this guy, he's from Florida. I wonder where Lazarus is now...

ROTFL. That's one of the funniest ones I've seen in AGES! And so true. 'I only read this stuff'

I think it's hatred for the current administration. And I think said administration has done very little lately that could be considered commendable. Answer me this: How did the genuine outpouring of support and concern for America in the days, weeks, and months after September 11th get to where world opinion is now? Â We all know its not because of how average Americans are acting. Â And is everyone wrong? I think if you look at all the venom spewed forth, almost none of it is aimed at americans individually. Â It is aimed squarely at the man at the top and his cronies. Â The only way you should take those opinions to heart is if you believe that Bush and Co. have done absolutely nothing wrong.

Isn't there gonna be a faster network with UTMS or UTSM i dont remember how its called but i saw it in the newspaper UMTS is another name for WCDMA.
-
Each cell does use a broader frequency range. And WCDMA is a spread spectrum, code division thechnology. It lets them utilize the bandwidth more efficiently. But it still has fairly low maximums on bandwidth. It's why 802.11 is a better technology for high speed access, but of a much more limited range than cellular wireless. I am not as familiar with WCDMA as I am with CDMA2000 (after all, cellular is what I do), but I really dont think they will be able to offer 2mbit connection over wireless to whomever wants them. They cant do it with CDMA2000, and thats a 3Gtechnology as well. the 2mbit is a maximum bandwidth that's shared. But who knows. I'd just kill for a 10mbit fibre connection to my house
-
Exactly. Most mobile computing on a PDA will be low bandwidth. But when people start firing up their notebooks with a mobile Aircard style modem, it will sow things down. It's just a matter of badwidth versus users. In most urban areas, individual cell range is pretty small, so if you are mobile, you may not ramp up to 2mbps. Unless WCDMA is vastly different than CDMA200 (WCDMA is a patch to GSM, allowing the carriers to offset the costs of changing systems), that bandwidth is also the max for all users on a particular cell.

100mbit? A DS3 which is 45mbit costs around $10,000 per month in the U.S.. Are you sure you are quoting the right speed? Yepp. A movie (approx 600 mb) takes about two minutes to download from other people with 100 mbit lines. Usually however it's the other side that's limiting. Generally 10 Mbit are the most common here, but more and more are getting 100 Mbit lines. I'm thinking about getting a 3G phone. Then I'll have a 2 Mbit mobile connection (they're planning to upgrade it to 11 Mbit next year). Screw fixed connections, wireless is the future Dont be fooled, Denoir. You have a better chance of getting hit by lightning than you do of getting a 2mbit connection through a 3G wireless connection. Here's why: First, to ramp up to 2mbit, you have to be stationary. If you're moving nd you have to be handed to another cell, you have to start all over. Second, and more importantly. That figure is the maximum bandwidth available to ALL wireless users on a particular cell. The more people pulling data at the same time, the slower each connection gets. There just isnt enough space in a frequency allocation for WCDMA/CDMA to give everyone who wants a connection a 2mbit connection.

I'd love to get one of each deck (the spoof one and the 'official' one), and lock them into a safe deposit bax, and then pull them out in 10 years and have a look at what history says about the events surrounding these cards. Would be sorta cool.

Yeah, you could be a Spas-12

Yep, yep, yep, yep. All in campaign mode. Â You have engineer units to repair bridges, combat units to capture assets, aircraft (of course) to destroy enemy assets, and HQ units to control can...I...get...into...an...M1A1...and...capture...something...? can...I...shoot...you...and...your...weenie...falcon...down...from...inside...my...shilka. ..? No I dont want a flight sim with some ground elements that you dont actually have an option to hop into. Â I want a combined arms sim, just like OFP, with a persistant world. Â Reading comprehension, young one
-
The only reason they were destroying them was to buy time, they weren't disarming. War is Peace. Destroying weapons, as requested by the UN Weapons Inspectors is not disarming I am taking a class in critical thinking this fall (I dont need it, I am just using it for credits ) If you would like, I can send you my textbook.
-
I really just wanted to fly the thud. as for online wars, try falcon 4.0 Yeah,..but in Falcon, can I capture a city, and hold it? Set up command facilities, repair depots, armouries, etc? I want a persistant world, combined arms sim... with at LEAST the playability and reliability of OFP.
-
Its like the Al Samoud II missiles. Only without a warhead and guidance package were they able to exceed the allowable range for theater missiles. And Iraq WAS destroying them. Good enough for Blix, but not for Bush.

Canadian macrobrewery beer is generally a lot better than American. That being said, all bets are off when it comes to microbrewery stuff. These guys almost without exception have a heavy duty dedication to good beer. So at that point it comes down to personal preference and taste, because it's all pretty damn good

I can't hold anyone with a supertanker named after them in high regard. Â Â Actually, that tanker was renamed. What drones, FS? Dig us out the report on them, because if I am not mistaken, they HAD been declared previously, and had been examined.
-
Actually, they made Janes F/A 18 after USAF. And I thin IAF came after USAF as well (On that score I could be wrong). They were working on an A-10 sim that got cancelled, and then a few months later, EA closed the Janes division. Sad thing, actually. USAF wasnt terrible, and I remember at one point they planned on building a World War sim system where they would have armour, sea, and air sims that all linked together in a persistant world. Maybe BIS should start work on OFP Online, a persistant world conflict where we can actually have a real war

A question: If Bush is good for promoting his rather narrow and right leaning view of Christianity, then whty are Muslims wrong for doing things that their religion says will be rewarded? And have you ever considered that Saddam was a secular leader, and hated by the majority of fundamental Muslims almost as much as they hate the US?

I loved the Fallout 2 intro. Everytime I do my jazz show on our college radio station, I get the urge to play it i think most emergency preparedness plans that deal with genuinely catastrophic events are mostly just to give people a sense of security. Because those plans usually fall apart the minute the shit hits the fan

I think that as Joe Sixpack finally realizes the bill of goods he was sold by the Bush administration, that that approval rating will plummet. COnsidering all the furor over Clinton and a blowjob, I dont think this is just going to go away. I also dont want to believe that people are gullible enough to believe it is the fault of Tenet and the CIA. Especially considering htat Tenet never saw the State of the Union address before Bush made it. The next few months should be really interesting, as all the chickens come home to roost

ROTFL. This is one of the most ironic things that I have ever seen. American troops dont need the NBC suits, the public living near these stockpiles do. Of course, the government will likely rush to cover any of this up, to avoid paying big settlements to those affected.

It also gets you a one week PR. I warned people to stop with the bickering, and you've just given yourself a nice vacation for not being able to use PM's. The next person who feels the need to unburden themselves in this thread like that can look forward to 2 weeks... M'kay? Edit: FSPilot, the last time you were post restricted was because of your childish response to someone flipping out at you. You can take 72 hours off to consider being the bigger man next time.
