The WTC attacks were: 1) Mass Murder 2) Reprehensible 2) Terroristic It was not: Genocide Anyone who tries to justify the opinion that the WTC attacks were genocide are really grasping at straws. I've seen a lot of 'how much does it take to make it genocide' Well, IMNSHO opinion it takes a lot more than 3000 deaths, especially in a country of 300 million folks. Trying to label it as a 'crime against humanity' or 'genocide' is wrong in a world where genocide happens all too often. I can understand the outrage and the anger that Americans have for those attacks. But it makes me shake my head to see the terms some people try to label them with.

ANd regular riders know then not to get on so that they dont end up at some elementary school rather than at their place of work.

Hey Scout, Just to point out... The US did not suffer 109,000 killed at the Battle of the Bulge. It was closer to 19,000. Even the combined injured and killed is ~99,000. Macarthur was a decent leader, but he was an egomaniac.

Oooh. The Enermax/Antec case. You have the one with the locking door over the drive bays? I'm of the same opinion as Denoir..just spend the extra few bucks on the faster processor. Though I would love to try some funky overclocking on a P4. I've heard the 1.6 is a mad overclocking chip

He lives in the US of A That measn he can get a gun at the 7-11 Seriously though, it is insanely easy to get a handgun in the US. All you need is money. And that's getting one legally. Hell, in some states you can easily get a concealed weapons permit, right Wobble? So he probably played Counterstrike, got a hard on for a Glock, bought one, and had it tucked away somewhere. Then he tried out that newfangled 'Everquest' and the rest is history.

No OC for me. a) I know how to do it. Been aware of it since the P75-P90 days. b) I have no burning desire to be l337. c) It will cost you more to buy the fans/coolers/case mods than to buy a faster processor. Yeah, I OC'd in the past. But that was when you could save some big bucks by doing it. Now it's just saving a few dollars. And OC'd systems are generally less stable as well. But that's just my opinion.

I've noticed that there tends to be a lot of flamage on this board (and others) where folks start boosting their own country and slagging others. I know it's a good thing to believe in your country. Â And to be patriotic. Â But why does it seem to be acceptable to denigrate other folks to try to improve your arguements? PLEASE dont turn this into a flame war. Â I am looking for actual rational discussions and ideas here... And on a related topic.. Canada ownz j00

Well, here is where I was born and lived most of my life. But I moved here chasing after a cute blonde about ten years ago. And was THAT an adventure!

I love that pic Satchel!  Too funny  Mad Mike, How old are you? And where do you get your info on the US military?  Lemme guess, most of it comes from boards like this.  I've known a few guys in the US Navy, and one of my current customers is an airmobile guy in the US Army.  And they have all been, without exception, professionals.  And a lot of times, they'll tell funny stories about things gettign screwed up. Why? Because in most cases it IS funny.  And then twits in other countries parade these funny stories around as the status quo of all US Military Operations. Are Americans the best trained? Are they the most professional?  Do they make less mistakes than other nations? Not really But they are for the most part professionals and deserve our respect.  I laugh just as hard when I hear about dumbass mistakes but I never ever assume that this is how things are all the time. And no, I am not an American.

I cant say that I am totally behind the idea of eliminating Saddam once and for all.  The west is already hated by many in the middle east, and I cant imagine that action to oust Saddam would sit well with other arab leaders.  After all, if the west can remove one leader, what's to stop them trying the same thing in Iran or Syria or Jordan? The problem in my mind comes when that lunatic wont allow mandated inspections.  The only thing that shows is that he has something to hide and that's when I start to worry. Not slamming Arab folks in general, but I truly believe Mr Hussein would happily lose some biological nightmare on the US.  And living so close to the US it scares the bejeebers out of me, since bio weapons generally dont pay much attention to borders  Well, it will be an interesting summer. We can watch the rhetoric from the US and get an idea of what's going to happen in the fall... Back to the actual topic of this post...I saw in the news this morning that Sharon is willing to talk to Arab leaders, and even 'responsible Palestinians'  WOnder where that will go?

Oh come on, other than the SEAL's the navy uses the Marines to protect them. So how can you classify the navy as the best?

That's just wrong Placebo, unless it was College. Look at that teacher in the Seattle area who had a kid with one of her students. EWWW. My only really embarassing thing in high school was being busted after making a horrible mess with a half rotten apple. I'd been meaning to throw it out for a week, and one of my buddies gave me a hard time. So I threw it at him. It hit the wall and literally exploded. The only problem is that it exploded all over one of the teachers who had just opened his door. Woops.

I think it's less that they're hard to fly and more that those that have problems tend to whine about it a lot. I dont particularly like the fixed wing aircraft. I find they handle poorly and are overly sensitive. I do like the helicopters though and have gotten quite good at flying them. Now I want to try my hand at transport pilot in an MP game. Maybe tonight.

I love the fact that you can pick weapons up from dead people. It's nice to have an option when you're low on ammo, unlike more action oriented games like say...counterstrike. As for selecting gear, you can only do it when you you are the squad leader, and even then the selection is often limited. Heh..in sp. I still ahvent played MP

I am adding a vote to 'guy didnt want to spend time on hold so he decided to spoof poor Avon' No matter how anemic Codemasters support is, I cant imagine them doing this. It's more unprofessional than I can see any company acting. And if they did, I think compensation would be in order.

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">dude, 10 kids on an internet forum arent gonna change jack shit!<span id='postcolor'> That's true. Â But debate here isnt really about 'changing things' It's about using our minds to examine the events in the world around us and form opinions and views based on our intelligence (or lack thereof) and understanding. Â There is a rather disturbing trend of 'kids' these days is to just tune out things and shrug them off rather than looking at them and understanding them. Â There is a quote that says 'Those who forget history are destined to repeat it' Â And it is the truth. Â If we stop caring and being critical of what goes on around us, then sooner or later past evils will resurface and throw the whole world into chaos. Â I doubt anyone wants another Adolph Hitler or Joseph Stalin. Â Â If just one person reads this thread and then does some real reading and research to find out what the fuss is about when they previously would have just gone and played OFP some more, then it's worth 30 pages of heated discussion.

I cant imagine 15kg of batteries throwing up enough dust to trigger an ELE! I did however prophesize that they will land on my boss's house and smash his nice new 41" Â widescreen TV to bits. Â Or at least I hope it does, that bastard! Â The good part is that there's enough wide open space that the chances of anyone being hurt or hit is astronomical. Â The bad part is that they cant predict where it will go. Hehe..maybe if it hits McDonalds HQ, Taco Bell will give everyone a free Taco (Remember the Mir thing?)

To top it all off, if you showed BIS something you wanted to work on, and they deemed it worthy, they probably WOULD give you the tools. They just arent for general release yet. If you just want to dink around, yeah..you're out of luck. But if you're serious about bringing something to the game I am sure you'd be accomodated. As for other companies giving gamers the tools to build on, Valve/iD has pretty much opened up Half Life to the point where anyone can mod to their hearts content.

The second and third Rambo movies. The WORST. The first one is really good. But then, it's not really a combat movie. For TV, it would have to be The A Team. Great show but hokey beyond belief.
