Yup. You need to put a claymore ammo box on the map somewhere. It'll work fine after that.

Superb.

Just working my way through all the original series, and picking up stuff I missed the first time around. The SG teams are not only Airforce; at least one is composed of Marines armed with M16A2 and M249 and I've noticed a couple of M4's floating around too. So as long as you're not playing SG1, guess you could use whatever is in the inventory, though MP5's and P90's should be in the mod somewhere. Where's the wimmin?

DKM did a fine model of a Challenger 2, and Hawk created a Challenger 1; nice, though it used a Browning for the Commander's machine gun rather than a GPMG. They can both be found at ofp.info

Nicely done, though a minor criticism; It may just be my eye, but the helmets look more like the WW1 pattern, with a broader brim than the later pattern. Like I said, may just be my eye.

Had no problems at all until about a month ago when I updated a load of out of date drivers for my system, then ArmA would lock up after about 10 mins of offline play. Nothing worked, maxmem or any other tweak I gleaned from the troubleshooting forum. 1.09 arrived just in time for me; I was about to throw the bloody DVD out of the window! My problems have ceased though sometimes textures are slow to load. For what it's worth, I played a long session with my mates last night/this morning, and I was the only one who didn't have any problems at all. At least for me, 1.09b seems to be the bee's knees, though if the speed at which textures are loaded can be increased, that would be good.

By reading the posts in troubleshooting, My installation of ArmA now runs very smoothly, which is good. However, it doesn't address the original problem I came to Troubleshooting for;after about 10 minutes ingame, time varying dependent on environment (open, desert, forest, urban) my framerate changes from frames per second to seconds per frame. To all intents and purposes the game locks up, but in fact it is only running incredibly slowly. I know that this is the case rather than it just freezing because I left one session open in a "frozen" state for about 15 mins after hitting the esc key. When I came back the ingame menu was up. Tried disabling the swapfile, and for the first time got the error message that the system was running out of available memory. I've tried a number of apps which claim to free up memory, but none appear to make any difference. ArmA is the only game where this happens, All others work fine. Help?

Tried maxmem with various values, no difference. I don't think the CPU/GPUs are overheating; fan speed has been manually cranked up to 90% from the default 50% I don't think it is the soundcard, but since I've tried everything else, its no big deal to try running sound with hardware and EAX disabled; I'll give it a shot. Nope. Same problem.

Good point. AMD4200 dual core (Yes, optimiser installed) 2 gig DDR4200 RAM ASUS A8N-SLI Premium motherboard 2x NVIDIA 6800 Ultra, 256meg video RAM each, drivers 163.71, rolled back due to problems with other apps, made no difference to the problem with ArmA Creative Soundblaster X-Fi Soundcard 500 gig HD, 3048 pagefile enabled (Put it back in since having no pagefile did not solve problem) ArmA Patched up to 1.08 hotfix, QG currently not installed, but had same problem with.

Try IL2 and its sequels; Written by Russians, Allied forces are red and Axis are blue. They obviously don't have a problem with that. If it really bothers people, I wonder how difficult it would be just to set up ArmA2 with side 1, 2 and 3 and let the mission designers decide what troops go where. BTW, don't kid yourself; Commies are perfectly acceptable bad guys. The only enemy that could really trump them would be Neo-Nazis. Possibly in a fictional South American setting, though finding a country that could give a major power a run for it's money would be quite a trick.

In your NVIDIA Control panel, set SLI performance mode to "Force Alternate Frame Rendering 1". Worked for me.

A note regarding his mental state should have. The ability to breathe should never be considered as being sufficient right to own deadly weapons. From the reports coming out the signs were fairly obvious. How obvious does it need to be?

Actually, it was just an observation. there are some people I wouldn't trust with a peashooter, Let alone a firearm. And in the UK where I live, theorectically there are very few people that can legally own guns, and forget about getting semi-autiomatics, but there are fully automatic weapons being used on the streets, despite our strict firearms laws. All Legislation ensures is that any armed psychopath that enters an area finds it full of victims. What's the answer? because if a crazy wants a gun badly enough he's going to be able to get one. Maybe the US should start to look at bearing arms as a privilege, not an automatic right.

I'm looking at recreating the walk through Grytviken to King Edward, though with a somewhat warmer reception than that in the history books. Yes, I've tried NIM. Bloody good stuff!

The whole mod has it's own unique character. Standing in among the sheds at Grytviken, looking toward King Edward Point, Endurance in the narrows, I felt like turning the central heating up to full. Settled for a hot toddy instead.

Thanks, just spotted it.

Trying to add the ship's turrets for naval bombardment, but when I try to run it I get a CTD with the message "Invalid crew FLKWF". BTW, By God, this was worth the wait!

Something for the future? More details here.

My dad was there. That happened in the morning. In the afternoon, his unit met the panzers and was annihilated. He only survived because he was running a message to the command post.

The rifle in use by the British Empire and Commonwealth at the time (ended production in 1941) was the Short, Magazine Lee-Enfield (SMLE). SMG would have been the Thompson. SMLE Your mod is looking good. Hope this is of help.

Me too. Stick one in a blender, get a couple of slices of Rye bread, pour the paste onto the bread and stick the result under the grill...

Depends on what needs to be moved. CH-53 would do the big budget wide screen epic jobs, CH-46 would tackle the jobs where the '53 shouldn't be required (more jobs), and the Huey, being at the bottom of the stack would do the very basic logistics. BTW: SFC.ITZHAK, Myself and a few friends have been waiting for a long time for this bird. Dunno if we can't give you any more than moral support, but if we can help in any way, we will.
