Hehe ... once I had trouble getting an A-10 to stop shooting at the enemy, even though it got orders to hold fire and leave. In the end I made the A-10 join group with a civilian at the other end of the map!

Doesn't work. I've tried making a new pilot config, so they didn't drown after bailing out - no luck so far. I think the whole man simulation would have to be altered - it's not even possible in a config file, as far as I can conclude.

I bought it today but don't hame time for playing it yet. I'm looking forward to play Dimitri - Armstrong was a bit of a sissy, hehe.

I gave it 9, because it's the best game ever, but not 10 because it has ruined all other games for me - now they feel really crappy compared to OFP and that sucks.

What's so funny about that. In it's time (which is not so long ago) it was the ultimative fighter aircraft. No other aircraft was as maneuverable and deadly as the F16. It would fit perfectly in a '85 setting.

Well, the Huey may be nice, but it wouldn't add anything new to OFP, from a strategic or gameplay point of view. It's just another Blackhawk, regarding that matter. I'd rather see a completely new aspect, like subs, scuba divers or F16.

BACK TO TOPIC: BACK TO TOPIC: BACK TO TOPIC: I'm considering to retexture the Steyr and make a SA-80 for all you Brits. There's a few things I'd have to know first, apart from what I have already read around the net. Does the British army still use bayonets? Or did the do so in the 80's? Adding a bayonet function to the rifle would be sweet - AND possible. What is the rate of fire on the SA-80? I have read that it's very precise, has a hefty 4x4 scope, but is kinda bulky to wave about (10 pounds). Cheers.

Back on topic... The throw weapon does work, just not how you think. Throw is the weapon stuck to your wrist i.e. your hand, hence the name throw weapon. It's used for launching hand grenades :-) There's also put, used for mines and satchels. What we need is a toss item command :-) It can also be useful if your rifle is empty - just toss the weapon at the enemy, like in Saving Private Ryan!

They should rather have included a full index of config.ccp commands and explanations of them all :-)

Heheh, it seems Europeans like the UN more than Americans. I guess we've seen the nobility in helping a country back on it's feet, not just level it with bombs and leave. :-) I admire UN - their task is the hardest of them all. That's what inspired me to make the addon. As a UN soldier, the world is not black & white, but many shades of grey. The job of distinguishing between them and make fair decisions is the hardest there is. Anyway, thanks for the positive feedback, guys. I'm also excited about getting this addon out to the public. Well, regarding to combat, they can't hide as well due to the outfit colors, but on the other hand they have the standard issue UN bulletproof vest, which sometimes makes up for it, but far from always. Mind that most things should be configured when making missions, such as hold fire or setting alliance.

Hey Soon2B, When did you become a BIS employee? I'm refering to your icon. Flashpointer: Yeah, I always play in 1600x1200. Otherwise you can't see the enemy far away, and I also hate flickering.

The SA80 will be included with my UN addon. Is that cheering I can hear from the brit islands?

More world. OFP is the best example I have ever seen of this, though I still hope for more :-) I'd like more ambient life, rivers, bridges, trains, traffic system in populated areas, etc. I know it's a combat game, but without the world combat is meaningless. For example, sneaking in forrests should be like real life hunting. Looking for tracks, listening for sounds .. mistaking a deer for a ruski ...!

I have been annoyed about the exact same thing very often ... the inability to interrupt!! The worst is when papabear is chatting about his bad childhood, going on and on, meanwhile locking up all control of my tank. How to waste an Abrams without danger? Wait till he's on the phone to HQ, then you got free game!! An easy fix: Commander orders should override all other radiomessages, including his own auto-target calling. Please fix it! :-))))

You don't have a french army yet ... first you need to replace the LAWs with baguettes!!

It's great fun to attack all the trucks along the way. They're completely helpless! You can waste your satchels on general sabotaging, as when you get to the base, you can just steal one Hind and use it to blow up the others.
