    When "talking to yourself"

But a good thing will be when people stop staring oddly at me because I mumble to myself while stumbling down the street.

Yeah, they do that in films like Saving Private Ryan too - use casualties for cover. I sometimes use it too in OFP and consider it a feature. If enemies try it, just toss a nade in his face

    When "talking to yourself"

I don't even want a mobile phone - if I'm out, it means I don't wanna talk to no one. Just wait and see - when these devices from hell first are drilled into your skull, the big brands will find some way of broadcasting non-stop commercials into your head with no way of turning it off. Read "Fahrenheit 451"

Thanks for explaining - and the Lego project sounds really cool. You should post pictures here when it's in the making! /imagines Denoir bitchslap a Lego robot for playing with the lightswitch.

    Ammo fixed in resistance?

Also the grenades for grenade launchers takes way too much space. Rather than 1 grenade taking up 2 slots, it should be 2 grenades in 1 slot. Grenadiers are too weak in OFP.

Yes, cowards are those who never dare to oppose anything. Losing your life in an attempt to strike the enemy of your people is quite opposing, IMHO.

Robot sick of getting his ass kicked

I was quite impressed with the Honda android until I found out that it needed small stickers on the floor and painstaking programming to be able to walk around a room properly. Denoir, do you know why that robot hasn't got any of these "thinking" abilities or atleast is made to navigate by it's own?

Sure you can succeed in the world without formal education, but those are general exceptions. Most people without a high-school diploma end up working in BurgerKing or something similar. Getting a degree gives you much more choices, not to say job opportunities later. Of course, one can discuss how much you actually learn in school and if things could be made in a better way. But we still live in the real world where a degree matters, regardless if it is fair or not. I consider that going through high school is very importrant. It gives you the all-round education that you need to have to understand the basics of the world (science, culture...). My own education has been very classical. After high school I did my military service and then directly proceeded to the university studying electrical engineering. Now I am in my final stages of getting my MSc in EE. What have I gotten out of it then? Well, if we look at the practical considerations first, I've made sure that I will have no problem getting a job. Engineers are always in high demand. The things that I have learned are less importrant. You forget much of the details pretty soon anyway. However, you have been trained in creative problem solving and structured thinking. And this means a lot to me.<span id='postcolor'> Ofcourse you are right about this. But the incidents in the article can hardly be so serious that kids would throw their future away. As for my own case, I was simply not ready for it - I've since "picked up" on many of the subjects by my own interest - the thing I disliked about schools approach to these subjects where the rigid and blocky mentality in which they where served to us, as well as teachers who tried to squeeze oppinions into our heads rather than form our own. Some people just block everything out when they feel a brainwash approaching.

Me too. I was drawing and dreaming in school and never paid much attention to what was taught. Now I make a living off my twisted dreams and [not meant to be bragging or anything like that] now make more money than any of my old classmates. If I had let them "get to me" in school, I'd probably just have ended up being a salesperson or working in a postoffice or something

Will resistance have new weapons sounds?

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote (eskimo jackson @ June 20 2002,01:32)</td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">not necessarily. with music you can use up to 4 bars (if i remember correctly) without any fees or permit. drums are not protected at all. so i doubt a gun shot , a fraction of a second long would be protected. in addition, how would a producer know that his gun sound was used ? guns appear in so many movies, how to tell whether it was taken from rambo, a schwarzenegger flic or from somewhere else.<span id='postcolor'> sure that works when you make stuff for fun - but for bigtime commercial purposes it's a very very bad philosophy. In my few years in advertisement, I've seen people get sued for the most rediculous details, like down to a jingle that faintly reminded of a popular song. They got their asses sued off.

Resistance better not mark the end...

I think with the commercial succes of OFP and the experience gained by BIS, they could do amazing things if they build OFP2 from scratch. I dare not imagine how it could be if an OFP2 incorporated some of the cutting edge technologies in the business, like the pixel shading and dynamic lighting in Doom III - as well as a physics engine like Havoc. Would also be nice to see grass everywhere on the islands and a sea you could dive in.

Someone check Satchel's bank account to see if he's received a sum of cash from BIS <span id='postcolor'> uhm ... that would invite to a lawsuit, as Satchel ripped the sounds from video and other sources, so BIS can't use them even if they wanted.

Sure, accurate shooting takes a lot of skill to master, but emerging victorious from a sword battle is something to be egotistical about.<span id='postcolor'> That's what made me "vote" for this era too. I know the Braveheart movie is way off historically, but the battle scenes are regarded as being quite realistic. I've often tried picturing what it must feel like, charging in front row - I'm sure only the beach landings in Normandy has ever gotten close to that since.
